To Ron Paul's Youth supportersSubmitted by Mary Reach on Thu, 03/08/2012 - 17:13
I recently experienced, first hand, a problem with the youth vote in this country.
As a 57 yr.old I truly think it's wonderful that Dr.Paul has so many supporters. But unfortunately in many cases, that is where it ends....they are supporters in name only. It's so much fun to attend a rally, chant President Paul! President Paul!, and tell everyone on Facebook just how wonderful he is.
I canvassed Montclair State University in NJ for signatures for Ron Paul for the NJ State Ballot.
So many students told me that they were not interested in any kind of politics. I contacted the Young Americans for Liberty at the same school with the hopes of getting some signatures....guess what? ... no response. I contacted the Veterans organization at the same school....I really anticipated getting a response from them but have not received one yet.
How could over 2000 people attend a rally in North Dakota and 500 people show up in that same county to vote the next day. Is it such an effort to get up and get out and vote?
The more I think about this kind of "support" the angrier I get.
Do You Want Ron Paul to become our next president??? Then get off your _ _ _ and do something! He needs delegates ...not tweets.
