Haha okay. I live in America and I'm a first generation Asian American. It is really sad to see Rick santourm winning. America wants to go to more war lets cheer on that please.

Sweetwater County Convention

Ron Paul is alive and well in our little section of Wyoming. Ron Paul won the precinct straw poll here last week, and today at our county convention we elected a Ron Paul supporter as our alternate delegate to the National Convention! We also had elections for our state convention where we were able to seat Ron Paul supporters to about half of the delegate slots.

A lot of hard work was put in by a handful of people and I am so proud of all of them! Way to go Sweetwater County!

Make your vote matter this year. A vote for the lesser of two evils is still a vote for evil! Vote your conscience, vote for Liberty, vote for the Constitution, VOTE RON PAUL!!!

Could someone please help me.

I need the straw poll vote totals for Wyoming from 2008 so I can keep this thread updated, thanks

There was no

straw poll in 2008.

They held straw polls in SOME of the County Conventions in 2008, but they didn't do that at every county and it wasn't open to everyone (only delegates to the County Convention).

@tsai3904 thank you.

I will do a delegate count, thanks again

do we know the ratio of instate vs out of state at the schools?

The thousands who show at rallies at universities/colleges are usually a student majority, but not all of then can be in-state students. If they're out if state students, they're out of state voters who (I assume) would not be legal to vote in their college's state, right?

From what I remember of my

From what I remember of my time at KU & KSU the out-of-state students only made up about 5%...but that was several years ago.

So, there was no real excuse for low voter turn out, I suppose.

Today in Miami County Kansas

So I spoke today at the Miami County Kansas Caucus and here was my favorite line from the Santorum representative.

"I tell ya I don't really know much about Rick Santorum, but I've heard a little of what he's said and he seems like a good guy to me."

Seriously, can't make it up...this is the highest level of thought 51% of Kansans could come up with.

Americans Need To Wake Up and Smell The Coffee or Its Over

for them and our republic...Thank God I'm not as ignorant as most of these sad americans...I woke up when Carter was fouling things up..However, at that time i was in my middle twenties already..

Yes - "Rumors of his health are lies"

A lyric from 1985 - enjoy - you are not alone seeing our path ahead.

"Man looks up on a yellow sky
the rain turns to rust in his eye
Rumors of his health are lies

His clothes are a dirty shade of BLUE
and his ancient shoes worn through
He steals from you and lies to you

Old America is dying

Still he sings an Empire song
Still he keeps his Navy strong
And sticks his flag where ill belong

Old America is dying

You're asking what makes me sigh so
what makes me shutter so…

Where criminals are televised,
politicians fraternize
journalists are over dignified
and children stare with heroin eyes…

America was born swans a singing,
last of Sunday's bells a ringing
the wind the tress is now sighing....
'cause old America is dying "

I took the liberty to replace England with America as it was now appropriate.

"This isn't what the govern meant"

"Win the crowd and you will win your freedom"

too funny!

wyoming had 1000 vote thats it?

Anyone else find it very odd wyoming had only 1000 vote? Am i reading that right?

Wyoming's process is a little confusing

Wyoming had a straw poll that was completed on February 29. You can find results of the straw poll here:

What happened between March 6 and today were County Conventions. These are not regular caucuses where anyone can show up and vote. Only delegates to the County Conventions are allowed to vote.

In these County Conventions, delegates vote to send one person from their county to the National Convention. They vote in rounds and after each round, the lowest vote getter gets dropped. What the media outlets are reporting are the votes in the final round of voting between two candidates.

At these County Conventions held between March 6-10, 12 delegates and 12 alternate delegates were elected to the National Convention.

These are the results:

Romney - 7
Santorum - 3
Paul - 1
Uncommitted - 1

Paul - 3
Santorum - 3
Romney - 2
Uncommitted - 1
No results yet - 3

Virgin Islands

The Republican Party chairman in the U.S. Virgin Islands says Republican presidential front-runner Mitt Romney has won the territory's GOP caucus.

Chairman Herb Schoenbohm says Romney can count on seven delegates from the Virgin Islands. He already had three superdelegates before Saturday's caucuses and he picked up three more in voting in St. Thomas and St. Croix. After the vote, an uncommitted delegate switched to Romney.

Ron Paul got one delegate, and one delegate remains uncommitted.

I just read that Ron Paul

won Virgin Islands popular vote why would he recieve only one delegate?

He didn't get just one

He didn't get just one delegate. I was on another post on the Daily Paul where I guy said him and his son both were committed delegates, so that is a minimum of two. It appears the correct number should be 6 delegates. Romney had 3 but afterwards got one more from the uncommintted group. Add the 3 super delegates (don't know how he got those) that makes 7 delegates for Romney.

And don't ask me why delegate count is now determining the winner when all the other times it was the popular vote.

First, it's pretty clear that

First, it's pretty clear that the GOP establishment will NOT let Ron win a single state primary or caucus if they can prevent it. So, stop EXPECTING Ron to win ANY primary and start focusing SOLELY on accumulating delegates to state conventions. Financial concerns are a problem IMO so either Ron's campaign or the grassroots needs to establish a fund to help potential delegates make the trek to their respective state conventions and eventually on to the national convention.

1. Ron's campaign should start charging $10 per head to attend his rallies. Even college students should be able to spend $10 and the low cost per head shouldn't noticeably impact attendance.
2. Use a portion of the money from the rallies to establish a fund to financially help potential delegates where appropriate.
3. Use the rallies to gather limited data on attendees and as a tool to educate and ensure supporters are registered, photographically recording and participating in the caucuses.

Ron needs a min of 5 states

Ron Paul needs to win the straw vote in at least 5 states to call the nomination at a brokered convention, at least that's what Ron said about the GOP rules

We won the state of Virgin island - popular vote!

tough we didnt get the majority of delegates.. o_O

"Pass a hat" at the rallies.

A known concept for the college way of collecting funds.

Campaign should totally do this

Paul needs to close rallies with two points:

2. Please donate

1 Delegate in Wyoming

Thats all we got according to Yahoo News.

Here are all your numbers!!!

cut it out plz.....

It's time! Rand Paul 2016!
