Reminds me of a Michigan refugee I worked with years ago.
He was a nice enough fellow, willing to learn about the local cuisine, so we took him out to lunch at a southern-style family diner one day.
We had coached him about some menu items beforehand, and he made it through the chicken-fried steak, black-eyed peas, and cornbread just fine.
But when it came time for dessert, he gave the waitress his biggest grin and said, "I'd like an RC Cola and a piece of your moon pie.".
Maybe it was his accent that gave him away.
I don't get it. What's a
I don't get it. What's a moon pie?

Okay, I'm now on a mission to find a moon pie to try! RC cola, too.
Pretty sure it can't beat my Boston cream pie, though.
If you're talking local treats, I'm don't get me started about NECCO wafers or Hoodsies...

Last night Mitt Liked Cold Cereal in his "tummy"
GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney shared some of his favorite cereals during a radio interview — much to the amusement of CNN host Erin Burnett.

Apparently, at the end of a long day of campaigning, Romney unwinds by eating a bowl of cold cereal, preferably Honey Nut Cheerios, Honey Nut Chex or Crispix. For Trix, as we all know, are for kids.
“Not much that keeps me up at night,” Romney said, admitting he’s pretty tuckered out by day’s end. “I try to eat some cold cereal at the end of the day, and a full tummy and a long day puts me right to bed.”
“The whole thing is just absolutely bizarre,” said Burnett, reacting to Romney’s interview clip. “Full tummy.”
“Full tummy,” she repeated later. “I don’t know, just something about hearing it out of a grown man was somewhat… strange.”
Do have a look, via CNN:
