Vaccinations, too.

One of the many reasons why I don't do vaccinations. I don't want DNA from humans or animals, or toxic heavy metals introduced into my body via vaccinations.

Abortion is a huge money-making business, and not just for the ones who perform the abortions. I would not even dare to express my feelings here on this, or I'd be ranting for hours.

“The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.”

bumping in . . .

astonishment. I have never had any of these products in my home, except for the Tazo tea which was given to me as a gift--

Maybe I'll . . . quietly dispose of it.

But, still--

Yes, health and ethics, both.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

if i want to consume aborted

if i want to consume aborted non-human fetal cells, then the ninth amendment of the constitution protects it

Just, ew. Gross. I'd rather hear that there's fecal matter in all that. Ugh.

Why on earth would they do this??? I feel like a cannibal now.

"Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." -- Thomas Paine

This is gross

I can't beleive I read this right after drinking some ocean spray cranberry.

If true

That would be a great evil, devastatingly degrading of the core existence, accelerating the destruction, of man, mankind.

Very very very evil.

update: Heard of it being used in vaccines and\or immunizations. How does a normal person prove such a thing?

"Vaccines, Abortion & Fetal Tissue"

update: a stealth, form of cannibalism, taken world-wide, for the most part.

Excessive consumption of any of the above products poses a health issue for reasons other than the fetal cells you mention.

The supposed use of fetal cells from even one elected fetus (human embryonic kidney cells from subject #239) by Senomyx or any company to develop something as trivial as a way to develop flavor enhancers used in these products represents an ethical issue. Other viable means are available for this kind of testing. Alternatively, such testing could be completely avoided and beverages could just contain the sugar and calories which would naturally discourage overuse by the consumers own choice.

To be clear, there are NO fetal cells contained in any of the products listed above. If the website you reference is to be taken at face value, these cells are used ONLY for testing flavor enhancers in an attempt to reduce sugar, salt and calories from the end product.

The problem with articles like this is it's very hard to take it seriously because many pro-life organizations are so desperate to get attention it's conceivable they would invent such a scenario to garner support. There is purposeful deception on both sides of this issue and it has gone on for far too long. What's really needed is a re-re-reintroduction of Dr. Paul's Sanctity of Life Act, subsequent sponsorship and passage which would go a long way to quell the pro-life/pro-choice debate that has plagued our society for decades.

Try calling PepsiCo, Kraft,

Try calling PepsiCo, Kraft, Senomyx, etc yourself and ask pertinent questions regarding this topic.

I think you'd find their answers, (or lack of them), eye-opening to say the least.

You make it sound like you've

You make it sound like you've called them yourself.
What did (or didn't) they say??

Yes I have and this practice

Yes I have and this practice was not denied. Call Senomyx for yourself and see what happens.

do you have the phone

do you have the phone number

No, this was several months

No, this was several months ago. They're a publicly traded company, I'm sure you can find it. On a side note their stock price has tumbled over the last 5-6 months and I'm confident their handling of this matter has contributed to its decline.

No surprise to me. Knowing

No surprise to me. Knowing how these people are they control it all so you can expect almost everything to be contaminated in some sort of way or another especially if it is man made. If it's not natural..then 98% of the time it turns out to be toxic. It sucks I know but at the moment that's how things are.Even more a reason to fight! Otherwise it's only a matter of time before we all are set to get up at 5 am work go to bed at 8pm..under their control..that is. RON PAUL is the solution. And that would be because he is a true follower of God. Or that's how I feel about it any way. It's all about peace and love..the world is simply nothing without it..we are in the time of greed and hate..these people are desperate to continue their falsely ways..we've seen before with JFK..expect this time around it is a man of pure honesty and truth. All said with love and peace...no greed or hate. It's simply amazing how he is more than likely one of the only men in the history of the united states that has never ever faltered in his decisions related to political matters. Not being able to be bribed or bought out or threatened. If only the people who get sucked into everything they hear from the tv would realize what is really going on in this world..people stopped thinking for themselves and started relying on what the local news or newspaper was saying. Seriously politics these days remind me of watching wrestling on TV. You got these people who play good guys and bad guys and act out their characters but then backstage they are all buddy buddy and such. RON PAUL is so full of truth and love and peace that the man sometimes can't get it all out or sounds like he's stuttering it's because he just has so much information inside his mind! =) Sorry for the rant..lol

No Offense, But This Kind Of Thing Is Why I'm Still Pro-Choice

I have always been somewhat on the fence when it comes to abortion, and I certainly respect the position of those that oppose it.

Every time I consider changing my position, however, I fail to do so in large part because I cannot reconcile aligning myself with a movement that:

1. interferes with stem cell research
3. thwarts legalizing voluntary euthanasia (right to die)
3. tries to to keep alive brain-dead people like Terry Schiavo
4. opposes the morning after pill

(I realize that Dr. Paul actually supports the morning after pill, and that not all pro-lifers seek to do all of the above.)

"Bipartisan: both parties acting in concert to put both of their hands in your pocket."-Rothbard

Various degrees

Why say that all pro-lifers go for all of those things? I'm a pro-lifer, but 2, 3 and 4 are not true in my case, and for the issue of stem cell research, it really isn't a problem when adult stem cells are used. It's like saying that I can't be pro-choice because I can't align myself with a movement that supports Planned Parenthood, which got started by a bunch of white supremacists who hoped that Blacks would control their own population through abortion and infanticide, which racism is something I'm sure most pro-choicers do not agree with.

It's all a scale. There's no such thing as "you're pro-life/pro-choice if you align with all of these requirements." I consider myself to be pro-life because of abortion. But I do consider myself to have pro-choice qualities, like believing that a woman should be able to give birth however and wherever she wants (at home by herself, or by c-section in a hospital, etc), I find that there are true principles in pretty much every political position

"Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." -- Thomas Paine

I Think You're On Target Here

And I confess my view may still be evolving on this issue (and that picture in the article is really just about enough to flip the switch for me). As you can see, I did take care above to acknowledge that not all pro-lifers support each of the issues I raise.

I strongly support euthanasia rights, stem cell research, and the morning after pill. Maybe my support for these things, perhaps irrationally, has caused me to stick to my position on abortion because somehow I view them, again perhaps irrationally, as all of a piece.

Your post rightfully points out the flaw in that thinking, and I appreciate it.

"Bipartisan: both parties acting in concert to put both of their hands in your pocket."-Rothbard

"This kind of thing is why

"This kind of thing is why I'm still pro-choice."

Really? Seriously? People objecting to human parts, no matter how small, being used in food is the kind of thing that keeps you pro-choice? You don't find such a practice objectionable????

No, Not Necessarily

Why stop at human life? Every time one waves one's arm one kills some form of life.

In my view (and again, I mean no disrespect to those with a different one) stem cells should be used for research to save actual human beings.

And if they end up in my Pepsi, I'm fine with it.

"Bipartisan: both parties acting in concert to put both of their hands in your pocket."-Rothbard

The only topic I referred to

The only topic I referred to was the use of human parts by food manufacturers. Stem cell research is a red-herring and not the thrust of the article.

In any case, if you're fine with consuming such products that's certainly your prerogative and I won't castigate you for it.

Consider for a moment the long-term consequences of such a mindset if it became widespread.

I Confess I Didn't Read The Article

And may have misconstrued the point of the original post.

Do I understand correctly that food companies are influencing the timing of abortions -- so that they are occurring later in the term of pregnancy than they otherwise would? I would find such a thing objectionable, yet I also find it hard to believe that a woman would delay or be made to delay her abortion for such a purpose.

As for the fetal tissue, it is just used to test food additive and does not end up in the food itself -- correct?

If I change my position on abortion--and the article's picture may be enough to do that trick--than I may have to accordingly object to the use of fetal tissue for such testing.

And even if I don't, I would certainly object to the delay of any abortion for such a purpose. To the extent that I may still support abortion rights, I would do so only in the earliest stage of pregnancy.

I think you need to re-read

I think you need to re-read the article in its entirety.

Are you kidding me?

Seriously, if this is true.....I just about became physically ill just thinking about this.....and now I cannot sleep. ARRRRRGH! !!!!!

Define "extracts" or stop posting trash.

yeah, I can see how you would be REALLY confused about whether or not this is a health or ethics issue.
lets see, do I drink dead baby parts or just extracts. would that affect my health?
what if it is good for my health? is that an ethics issue?

Define "trash" or stop grousing.

The article clearly states that Pepsi and others could have used stem cell extracts from other sources.

From an ethical standpoint, has it occurred to you that our present cavalier attitude toward torture and murder may have its origins in the "pro-choice" movement.

I'm also sure you would prefer your "Rocky Mountain Oysters" did not have a human origin.

"trash" is something that worries people.

and leads them down a rabbit hole that does not bear fruit.

eeewwww! the Sierra Mist with dinner was a bad choice.

Kind of reminds me of.....Soylent Green?

Or these misguided pharisees of today took John 6:53 out of context and force medicated us like flouride in our water?

What is wrong with these people? I hope for the sake of humanity this somehow isn't true.
