My Greatest Disappointment - The Ron Paul Attack Ads

Watch the ads of Ronald Reagan, John Kennedy, and Robert Kennedy. Their positive attributes were put on display without a mention of the other candidates.

We have a candidate who stands head and shoulders above the other candidates. He is a country doctor who's godly character measures up to a George Washington, who's family life measures up to a Robert Kennedy, who's intellectual capacity measures up to a John Kennedy, and who's charisma measures up to a Ronald Reagan. And yet we take pot shots at men that do not even deserve to be mentioned along side Dr. Ron Paul!!

Dr. Paul has never to my knowledge lowered himself to playing petty political games and now we force him to defend these ads. He defies conventional wisdom. His message unites us…

It breaks my heart. So many of our fellow Americans will never know the deliverance his message of liberty brings because we turned them off by our ads.

And how about you? Would you have gone over the wall for Ron Paul had you been introduced to him through one of these ads??

In 1788 our country needed someone to unit us. They found a man that they all united behind...some were Tories, some were cowards, some were flip-floppers, and some were serial hypocrites...some were just like you.

He united them ALL.

Liberty does that my friends

P.S. Don’t Agree? I challenge you to do your own poll regarding the impact of the $30,000,000 in ads we have purchased to promote the presidency of Ron Paul. Find 10 non Ron Paul supporters who have viewed one of the attack ads. Find one out of the 10 who were influenced to vote for Ron Paul as a result of seeing the ad. My findings were that they have a Negative impact on the viewer and the fact that we have lost ground nationally these past 6 months confirms my findings!

Well said, Fed. . .

and I totally agree with you.

Except THAT is not the message getting put out in the multimillion dollar ads for Ron Paul. . .and it should be!

I will answer your question

"Is RON PAUL's campaign doing to the others as he wants them to do to him?! Answer that question."

The answer is : Absolutely! The problem for the other opponents is THEY CAN'T!

You obviously do not know the difference between attacking someone and pointing out character difference when it comes to political policy. Ron Paul has not changed his stance on one issue in 30 years. When he points out the hypocricy of the other canidates he attacking them? How else is he suppose to point this out to voters? He did'nt say they are liers or ugly or hires illegal help. And to state Ron Pauls handlers are turning hin into a liar offends me. Nobody handles Ron Paul and if he did'nt completely agree with those adds they would'nt get aired.

You're a FAKE!!

. . .that's treating others like they're treating him?

Don't be deceived. You're wrong - they called Ron Paul a racist. They can beat him to death on his age. There is plenty of fodder - if they want to find it.

Exactly!

The MSM are corrupt, and therefore are not exposing/vetting the other candidates as they should be doing. The campaign has to do the MSM's job, unfortunately.

sometimes the truth hurts!

sometimes the truth hurts! He has to tell the truth about his opponents...just what "names" is he calling people? not the ones they deserve that's for sure! Last election cycle his ads were all about him...and they were generic and flimsy at best....these ads hit the public right where they are!

And last campaign he went from .5% to 7%

and this campaign he has gone from 7% to 11.3% while the field narrowed from 8 candidates to 4. Doesn't this say Anything to you??

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. Martin Luther King Jr.

You're a FAKE!!

. . .and he had to defend that, on national television, at a debate. "Because he's a fake!"

That's out of character for Ron Paul - he's always been generous towards his opponents - and a gentleman.

Are you a Santorum supporter?

If you were a Ron Paul supporter, you would know how Ron Paul feels about his informative ads. He's stated it many times. He is doing the MSM's job.

Nope - I'm Not Supporting Anyone Now

Thank you to all of you nabobs of negativity - I'm now a "Former Ron Paul Supporter".

Phew ...

you had me worried. Ron Paul doesn't need enemies with supporters like you. Glad you clarified that you are TROLL.

Was the statement true?

Answer the question. I answered yours. After giving his reasons why Santorum is a fake, is he or isn't he? Why did'nt Santorum refute it? Santorum just stood there with a stupid look on his face, like he's got me. If the campaign listened to people like you we would still be where we were in 2008

The Debate Brought Out The Facts. . .

Satanorum was sandwiched between Ron Paul and Mittens - who brought up the facts about his voting record - he did admit to what he had done. He had no choice. Then he tried to backpedal and do a CYA - which failed, desperately.

That was the forum for bringing out the truth. It should be followed by what Ron Paul CAN DO for America - via ads - not more attacks.

Talk about

Talk about hypocrisy.

Willworkforfreedom asked a legitimate question. "Is the statement true?"

Rather than answer the question, Remnant Patriot responds with,

"Of which you are a sheeple - baa on."

What does Remnant Patriot have to say about such taunts:

“Name calling is unprofessional and juvenile.”

“Is that what you teach your children - call them names!! I didn't teach mine that.”

What does that reveal about whether Remnant Patriot follows the dictates that he mandates for others?

Actually, you need to read further - oh busy one - I did answer it.

Although you made an

Although you made an additional reply to willworkforfreedom after my comment was posted, you still did not answer his question. You simply avoided it. It is a simple yes or no question. The statement is either true or not.

What exactly do you mean by "oh busy one", and "you can't draw blood here"? Those statements do not make any sense and have no logical bearing to the issue of discussion.

Wrong

That comment was above your comment - still is. How could I know what you were typing and try to interject my reply to that person - I couldn't see what you were typing on your computer. You're being ridiculous.

OH, and I'm only allowed to answer yes or no? According to. . .whom?

Wow - you're just bound and determined to get me, aren't you?

Of course they have bearing. I have no reason to write it if it didn't. What I meant is - because I'm not falling in line with the goose-stepping bloodthirsty Ron Paul sheep who want to slice and dice his opponents, rather than focus on the good news of Ron Paul. . .because I'm questioning the campaigns tactics - because I believe there are better ways to attract voters to Ron Paul - you're busy, busy - searching for any little piece of my flesh - so you can say, "LOOK!! HYPOCRITE!!"

If you spent as much time analyzing who is running the Ron Paul campaign - you might find some really juicy tidbits to lock your jaws onto. . .and it isn't me.

Remnant, the comments are

Remnant, the comments are time-stamped. Your comment is time stamped 11:50. You posted it after mine. The position reflects which comment it responds to and the newer it is the higher.

Willworkforfreedom's question is yes, or no. You can respond as you choose, but that does not mean you have answered his question. You did not.

Also, simply claiming that your juvenile taunt has bearing does not make it so. You have not explained how calling me "oh busy one" supports your argument that President Paul should not expose the truth about the other candidates records.

As to Remnant calling dailypaulers "goose-stepping bloodthirsty Ron Paul sheep" and other juvenile name-calling attacks,
Remnant's constant attacks and juvenile namecalling against his dailypaulers only shows that Remnant actually embraces the tactics he claims to oppose. Remnant attacks his fellow dailypaulers with name-calling and juvenile taunts to proclaim that others should not use such tactics. It is hypocritical.

And the one truth ad Remant is bent out of shape over that exposes Santorum on the issues not only does not hold a candle to Remnant's namecalling and juvenile attacks, but the ad revealing the truthful record of Santorum on important issues is debatable whether it qualifies as an attck ad at all. This all indicates a possible ulterior motive by Remnant other than trying to support President Paul's campaign.

Life is calling me. . .

. . .outside of this computer. Now, now. . .no tears.

I've cleaned my four year old Ron Paul sticker off of my truck window. . .then cleaned my windows. . .very productive.

Now I'm going to go get on with my life and leave this site in the muck, where it belongs.

Would you like the three Ron Paul Facebooks I started and manage? They're free! A lot of nice people on there.

Hmm. . .what have I been thinking? I should stick with those people who aren't hateful, who I can have reasonable, rational and intelligent banter/discussions with - unlike this group.

You're not as dense as you would like me to believe, Joe. . .I know you get what I'm writing. Can't out-fox a fox. ;)

Best Regards. . .Pax, Dude.

Why Is It Above Yours?

. . .I edited a typo - that's the time I edited it.

Joe - see above. I admit it! I'm a hypocrite! Just like you all. . .

Ron Paul want peace - his campaign declares war against the other candidates - his supporters support it.

Ron Paul says to stick to the issues and talk about those - except the campaign money is spent on attack ads.

Yes. Where is the vision of a free society?

We hear too much of problems and fixes. We need an even heavier dose of "This is what you get when you vote for freedom." Reagan won because he articulated the beauty of freedom that inspired voters.

Exactly! Ronald Reagan's ad's inspired us, gave us hope, made us feel good about America again - had vision, gave us courage to move forward. I was proud to work on his campaign!

I don't feel any of that with the Ron Paul attack ads - simply feel embarrassed that I'm supporting and trying to talk up a campaign wasting money blasting negative ads all over the television. Not to mention apologizing for the negativity, when it's brought up by someone. Ugh.

apologizing? ha! you should be apologizing to all of us for calling yourself a RP supporter...you just dont get it! this is a battle for the Republic and those people are not gonna respond to Mr. Nice guy....the MSM has people pretty snowed and the ads have to have a sting! apologize to yourself right now for being absurd!..love ya though...golden rule and all

Not Hardly

I have nothing to apologize for. . .truth speaks for itself.

In the end - the attack ads amounted to a lot of wasted money that was donated by good people. It wound up demonstrating how Ron Paul was just like the other candidates. . .not how he is head and shoulders above them, had a phenomenal plan to bring this country back, and that he could simply tell the truth about himself and didn't have to resort to launching attack ads against the others.

If I were wrong to defend this writer - I would apologize. We can see by the results of that strategy, that are right before our eyes. . .wrong tactic.

If You Are Representative Of The Ron Paul Campaign. . .

I'm on the wrong team.

Let's see - in 2007 I started a RP meet-up group. In 2008 we spent nights painting all of our Ron Paul signs/banners and using up the entire space of a supporters four car garage to let wave after wave dry.

Then spent many other nights putting them up all over our county. Our group tied up the banners over as many overpasses as we could get away with - running out on railroad tracks in the middle of the night to put up another banner on an overpass. We laughed ourselves sick - we had a great time working - because we were all of the same heart and mind - get Ron Paul into office.

We rented a space on our town square - it was our Campaign For Liberty - we sacrificed, we worked, we spent our hard earned money. . .and it most certainly wasn't for the likes of you, it was for a man we believed in - Ron Paul.

This whole campaign has drastically changed - you, and your ilk, aren't even of the same cloth as those who worked the last campaign.

Seriously - this is me - heading out the door - and I'll photograph it for you - to remove my Ron Paul stickers from my vehicle.

I have had my "Dr. Paul cured my apathy. . ." on my vehicle since 2008. It will now be gone.

Never seen a "former Ron Paul supporter"? You're witnessing one. I'll not be a part of hypocrisy - been there, done that with George H.W and W Bush x 2. This is no different. You just want to slice, dice, leave them in a puddle of blood on the floor.

You are as bloodthirsty as the Satanorum/Romney/Newter teams. I find it repulsive. . .and can see, via your vision - and a lot of the other sheeple on here that there is no difference between the four of them.

If you want the pictures of me removing my Ron Paul paraphernalia - email me: remnantpatriot@gmail.com I'll be glad to send them to you.

Good luck with your blood bath, name calling, finger pointing, attacking, warmongering against the other candidates. With people like you - Ron Paul will reap what he sows - shame and ruin. How sad.

See how well Remnant Patriot heeds his own commands by refraining from attacking others:

“You are as bloodthirsty as the Satanorum/Romney/Newter teams.”
“… and a lot of the other sheeple on here”
“With people like you …”

Just the same as I no longer want to be a part of this herd of "sheeple".

Thanks for making this post. It is something that I too feel the campaign is missing. I hope the attack ads at least motivate people to research his opponents dreadful records.
