My Greatest Disappointment - The Ron Paul Attack Ads

Watch the ads of Ronald Reagan, John Kennedy, and Robert Kennedy. Their positive attributes were put on display without a mention of the other candidates.

We have a candidate who stands head and shoulders above the other candidates. He is a country doctor who's godly character measures up to a George Washington, who's family life measures up to a Robert Kennedy, who's intellectual capacity measures up to a John Kennedy, and who's charisma measures up to a Ronald Reagan. And yet we take pot shots at men that do not even deserve to be mentioned along side Dr. Ron Paul!!

Dr. Paul has never to my knowledge lowered himself to playing petty political games and now we force him to defend these ads. He defies conventional wisdom. His message unites us…

It breaks my heart. So many of our fellow Americans will never know the deliverance his message of liberty brings because we turned them off by our ads.

And how about you? Would you have gone over the wall for Ron Paul had you been introduced to him through one of these ads??

In 1788 our country needed someone to unit us. They found a man that they all united behind...some were Tories, some were cowards, some were flip-floppers, and some were serial hypocrites...some were just like you.

He united them ALL.

Liberty does that my friends

P.S. Don’t Agree? I challenge you to do your own poll regarding the impact of the $30,000,000 in ads we have purchased to promote the presidency of Ron Paul. Find 10 non Ron Paul supporters who have viewed one of the attack ads. Find one out of the 10 who were influenced to vote for Ron Paul as a result of seeing the ad. My findings were that they have a Negative impact on the viewer and the fact that we have lost ground nationally these past 6 months confirms my findings!

Dr. Paul's Attack Ads Are Just Right!

In fact, they are inspired, genuinely funny, informative and entertaining. Those who fInd them objectionable simply don't like seeing their candidate exposed, especially the holy rollIng Santorum crowd. Meanwhile, the attack ads and vitriol coming from the other candidates is far meaner and disparaging.
Everything in the Paul campaign is going according to plan. Stay strong and positive, Paul supporters, and enjoy the chuckle you get when you watch Dr. Paul's Ads. The rest of you naybobs of negativity should get to work on resolving your deep seated, inner, personal conflict with Dr. Paul; you know he is the best candidate, but you can't seem to fully embrace him because all of the people you've grown to trust for your political news and opinions are telling you he's the wrong candidate. F the MSM. They do not live in the same universe as you and I. Evidence of false, misleading and underhanded comments about Dr. Paul are legion, and still he is gainIng ground ,

Convince People To Vote For Satanorum

Trying to convince Ron Paul's influx of sheeple that maybe there's a better way to get Congressman Paul's positive message out - other than attacking people - is akin to trying to convince die-hard Republicans to vote for the Ron Paul.

Ron Pauls influx of sheeple?

You would not know what the term sheeple meant if it was'nt for Ron Paul supporters. But you have been here for 5 weeks so that makes you an expert in sheeple.

I have been working on campaigns since the early 80's.

Willy,

Because I have been on this site for only five weeks that does not make me a Ron Paul novice or a political novice. . .or a computer novice. I'm not.

Will you give it a rest on how long I have been a member of the Daily Paul? At this point it's irrelevant.

I have plenty of references - in real life (not anonymous computer life) - who will attest to my (now former) major love, work, and devotion to Ron Paul and his supporters.

This campaigns tsunami of bloodthirsty "supporters" has forced me to change my mind. . .and I never thought that would EVER happen. It kind of reminds me of when my eyes were opened to W (Bush). . . . Ugly reality - but - gotta face it.

"influx of sheeple" gosh you

"influx of sheeple" gosh you really are absurd! These are not people who are awakened by the freedom message? These are not Patriots and Revolutionaries? mmmmm, who's side are you on anyway? rhetorical question btw....

He appears to be a Santorum supporter.

Your Lack Of Intelligence. . .

Only confirms your sheepledumb.

That is so lame. . .call them an opponents supporter - that will really draw blood - then the masses of Ron Paul sharks, with their cold, black abysmal and soulless eyes will descend on them and rip them apart.

re reagan

I don't think all of his ads were the 'shining city on the hill' type and you really would have to go back to the primary season and see what he ran then for a fair comparison. Is there an archive available?

As to negative campaigning - it has always existed and was far worse in the 17 and 1800's. Back then they made it really personal.

Yes there is ...

And yes ... Even Reagan and Kennedy ... had negative campaign ads.

Ron Paul Only Wants Negative

. . .at least that appears to be what this legion of bloodthirsty Ron Paul supporters wants.

When will you all have enough blood from Ron Paul's opponents? Bet you all love the wars too - kill'em all - let god sort'em out, right?!

Why are you even on this site? Ron Paul is about Peace, Freedom, Prosperity. . .you're not fitting in real well. You would do a lot better with the warmongers though.

Glad your not running the campaign

We have lost ground these last six months because the campaign has not had the resourses to reach all the other states with these so called "negative" adds.

"In 1788 our country needed someone to unit us. They found a man that they all united behind...some were Tories, some were cowards, some were flip-floppers, and some were serial hypocrites...some were just like you."

You are describing the people that supported our first president not HIS character. From all that I have read his character was much like Dr. Pauls but his message did not get blocked or distorted by the MSM. So whats your point?

Dr. Paul is suppose to stand above the fray? Who is going to point out serial hypocricy of Newt? Flip - flopping of Mitt? Fakeness of Rick? The media? Don't make me laugh. These adds are "attack adds" and "negative" adds because the MSM says so. I have another word for them "truthfull".

You are dead wrong about the so called attack adds or negative adds as the media likes to call them and I have had non supporters call me after they have seem one of these adds a tell me it was nice to see the truth that they don't get from the MSM.

Dr. Paul does not have the luxury of a non biased media the other canidates you describe had. He does not have equal time in front of the cameras on the weekly news shows for free air time if you had not noticed. When they do have him on it is to ask him who he will support when he loses or if he still intends to run third party. I trust Dr. Paul to run his campaign.

Your post is very flowery and patriot sounding but the message makes me wonder about your intentions

AD = ADvertisement vs ADD = Mathematical Increase

Your = possessive you. You're = You are. "Glad You Are Not Running. . ."

You are one of the sheeple. You won't think for yourself. You go with the herd, don't look to the left or right - just blindly follow the butt in front of your face.

Of all of the campaigns I wouldn't believe there would be the mind-set like yours - it would have been Ron Paul's.

Your mentality is what got us into this mess going on in the USA in the first place. Apparently you're incapable of critical thought or questioning.

Yes, I trust Ron Paul. No, I do not trust the ones running his campaign - one of which was a McCain (100 YEARS OF WAR!!!) operative (Clue: Trygve Olson). Another is still wet behind the ears. Do you even know who is running Dr. Paul's campaign? I do. Have YOU looked? I have.

Trying to bring about the positive message of Ron Paul sure does bring out the negative baaaaing sheep. Baaa on, dude.

HAHAHA thanks for the grammar lesson, dude

This is a perfect example of you ignorance of the difference between a personal attack and pointing out the facts that one has a hard time refuting. I never called you a troll or a sheeple or any derogatory term but that is the only way you can answer, the pathetic baaaa sheep thing and the grammar lesson? Really? Thats all you got, Dude?

Oh. . .and. . .

You're/You are welcome. I'm there for you. :)

You are free to call me a troll - if you believe that to be the truth.

I was merely speaking "truth", as I see it - just like you all want Ron Paul to speak. Calls it as he sees it.

You can't support his attacks as "truth" and not support what I perceive as "truth".

Baa ;)

Is that all you got, Dudette?

This is dumb

Some one said something about going nuclear on Santorum...Really? Santorum is nothing , but nuclear and offensive. Seems the American idiots like that or do they? The adds have nothing to do with the votes. The counters of the votes are what have to do with the votes. How many "inconsistancies"and "missing precincts", and "dead people voting" and "media mistakes" or ommissions do you have to see to realise the fix is in?

Which One - Of The Three - Is Worse?

From the people I've talked to - it's really hard for them to decide who's the least "evil" between Romney, Newter and Satanorum.

I completely agree about the "unprecedented" irregularities, goof ups, missteps, whoops, rule changes this election/caucus season has brought. If I've ever seen election fraud - it's been in 2012. Iowa, Nevada, and Maine - big time - stealing votes.

Have you ever seen Hacking Democracy? In light of what is happening to Dr. Paul, it should be a must see: http://www.hulu.com/watch/192687/hacking-democracy

Why all the down votes?

It's good to be optimistic, but seriously, some of you are optimistic to a fault. There is a time and place for negative ads. The Serial Hypocrisy ad on Gingrich was both effective and timely. But, remember, negative ads aren't for the purpose of getting people to vote for you per se, they're for getting you to NOT vote for the negative ad's target. But you're right on the latest ad against Santorum. I have personally had people tell me they liked Ron Paul and were going to vote for him until they saw him go nuclear on Santorum.

Maybe something of interest to readers/commenters on this thread

And which is relevant, I suppose :

CNN reporter asks Ron Paul, in person, if he'd be willing to stop speaking out his mind (on his GOP opponents), thru some of his campaign "attack" ads.

Thoughts?

BAM! Case Closed

Y'all can move on to another thread now. Lysiandad shows us what Dr. Paul thinks about this!

No Bully Zone

Wow, Ralph - did someone keel over and make you the Daily Paul Dictator For Life? You rule with an iron fist and bellowing directives - MOVE ON!

Everyone on here is able to make decisions for themselves. And, surprise - we're free to go or stay. Fortunately - it's our choice, not yours.

Get your butt off your shoulders

I wasn't trying to be a bully. I thought I was being lighthearted and funny. That was a good video showing what Dr. Paul thought about the "attack ads". Don't be so sensitive. I'm never a bully and if I want to be an asshole, there will be no second guessing about it.

Well, I don't know if "case closed"

... After all, one is free to disagree even with Dr. Paul on that one. We are the camp of Liberty.

But AFAIC, I'm perfectly fine with his way, there.

What I personally loved is his "that's my job". And for the sake of sincerity (which is so rare these days), Dr. Paul doesn't need to wear gloves all the time, in my opinion.

Certainly not when it's too important to finally give a chance to the truth about people's records to surface.

I'd bet she didn't quite expect nor enjoy the come back. Short and sweet and... firm. :)

Sincerely,

I disagree...I think there should have more attacks.

I think there should have been more, quote, "Attacks." If there is ever a year that the hypocrisy of the contenders should be pointed out, this is it.

When the right wing media, who should be

on Dr Paul's side, attacks him on petty BS, because they are bought and paid for. All the while, they defend any attack on the other candidates, and refrain from bringing up their actual records, there is no choice, but to make attack adds exposing their records. If Paul was treated equally in the media, he could focus on positive adds, instead of the attack adds.

There is a choice and Ron Paul has Chosen it for Over 30 Years

It is called the High Road

and he Only can lay claim to it

but his Handlers, because they do not possess or understand Dr. Paul's character handed the high ground to Santorum
