My Greatest Disappointment - The Ron Paul Attack Ads

Watch the ads of Ronald Reagan, John Kennedy, and Robert Kennedy. Their positive attributes were put on display without a mention of the other candidates.

We have a candidate who stands head and shoulders above the other candidates. He is a country doctor who's godly character measures up to a George Washington, who's family life measures up to a Robert Kennedy, who's intellectual capacity measures up to a John Kennedy, and who's charisma measures up to a Ronald Reagan. And yet we take pot shots at men that do not even deserve to be mentioned along side Dr. Ron Paul!!

Dr. Paul has never to my knowledge lowered himself to playing petty political games and now we force him to defend these ads. He defies conventional wisdom. His message unites us…

It breaks my heart. So many of our fellow Americans will never know the deliverance his message of liberty brings because we turned them off by our ads.

And how about you? Would you have gone over the wall for Ron Paul had you been introduced to him through one of these ads??

In 1788 our country needed someone to unit us. They found a man that they all united behind...some were Tories, some were cowards, some were flip-floppers, and some were serial hypocrites...some were just like you.

He united them ALL.

Liberty does that my friends

P.S. Don’t Agree? I challenge you to do your own poll regarding the impact of the $30,000,000 in ads we have purchased to promote the presidency of Ron Paul. Find 10 non Ron Paul supporters who have viewed one of the attack ads. Find one out of the 10 who were influenced to vote for Ron Paul as a result of seeing the ad. My findings were that they have a Negative impact on the viewer and the fact that we have lost ground nationally these past 6 months confirms my findings!

I'm with you

Notice I said Tea Party Anniversary - as in December 16th - as in our 2007 fundraising day.

Trust me....I was attacked many times 3 years ago when I was telling people not to join the Teocon Tea Party, that it was partnering with our enemies.

"In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."--Mark Twain

I Understand but

It is still just one person at a time..finding truth...sensing hope..listening to our hearts. That is what got us to the place where the real possibility of retaking our nation came into being. Now we have turned ourselves over to the professionals - professionals that will draw their paychecks from Romney when the Ron Paul money is gone. We are fools. This is a movement to reclaim THE HEART of America and the weapon we possess is Our Heart Driven belief in What is at stake and what we are doing....a weapon No Other Candidate can have because their campaigns are based on lies and deceit.

There is NOTHING that could have stopped us if we had followed our hearts.

I hate it when someone calls

I hate it when someone calls these adds attack adds.. telling the truth about another candidates record is not attacking an opponent.. it is telling the public the truth about your adversary.. attack adds are the ones which do not tell the truth.

Yes they speak truth....but are they the Whole Truth

Negative ads and High Moral Character are mutually exclusive......

I'm curious

How did you come to know Ron Paul?

Oversimplification

Ronald Reagan, John Kennedy, and Robert Kennedy never had the media apparatus of their own parties attacking them (with the exception of Reagan in '76 where he lost on the convention floor).

Those attack ads in Iowa are the reason we're not all preparing for a Newt vs. Obama general election which is much worse than Romney (Santorum will fade or compromise at the convention).

The super brochures have been more unproductive because you have single issue voters who are given about 50 issues in one document needing just one to pop up as a "red flag" for them to justify not voting for him even if all his opponents agree with the same position, but simply don't talk about it.

And finally, it is naive to think "just if..." with the ads, brochures, etc. because Ron Paul jeopardizes TRILLION$ in military, domestic, foreign aid, etc. being spend by very powerful forces that something as trivial as ads would make the big of an impact.

Seen a Santorum ad? They're pompous. Romney's are bland and lame and yet they're big in the race because that's where the big interests want them.

This race has always been about waking more people up and RP has done that smashingly!

The only way we take back this country is from the ground up at the local offices first. This was never going to be a simple Knockout Punch from the top down by taking the presidency. To think otherwise is the pretense of knowledge.

Obamney is the worst ticket obviously....

Newt or Santorum are not your worst enemy and I think you know that. I don't think you really believe anything you have written.

Goldman Sachs and other banks have only funded Obama and Romney and none of the other candidates. And you're saying a ticket for banksters/Fed lovers only is a good thing.

Romney ads have all been very negative and even his supporters admit it, but they like negativity and deception as the means to win.

No Sir - I Do Not Know That

JJ. . .really. . . Clinton passed the baton to Bush, who passed it to Obama. . .the agenda has remained the same: war, death, and debt.

Romney, Satanorum, Newt - will carry that same baton. They are puppets of the same "machine" Obama operates under.

The only one who isn't bought and paid for - who stands apart from them - who occupies his suit (is not an empty suit) - who speaks the truth - who is principled, honorable, honest, dedicated, consistent. . .that would be Ron Paul.

I know there are many factors but

I work one on one with people...where they are in the check out line..at restaurants...my business contacts..and they talk to me. Generally, they lump all the GOP together as immature, negative, boring, and they simply want to ignore them.

This campaign was ours to lose. We had 12% nationally with 8 candidates when we started rolling out these ads. These ads are right in character to the other three candidates. They are completely out of character to Dr. Paul (they reflect the character of his handlers). People sense the inconsistency...

Have you asked anyone outside the campaign what they think? Are we afraid to face the reality that we are blowing it.. that we are getting blow back from all the negative slams??

It might not be too late but "the establishment" inside the campaign have an iron grip on our fearless leader!

and the campaign contributions reflect the impact this "establishment" is having on all of us as well..

Powerful

I saw that - I think it's powerful.

Positives - Ron Paul has so many of them. Why can't they expend the money they were given stewardship over - extolling Ron Paul's amazing messages?!
