What's going on?

OK so we came last in the Kansas straw poll. People were predicting first, just like with Idaho, Washington, North Dakota Maine and Alaska. I know delegates are what counts, and we're getting them in the conventions, but we need public perception o our side too, and winning some states will matter. I'm struggling to understand how the good doctor can manage to have massive rallies but not have people turn out to vote.

Can someone explain what's going on? Don't talk to me about vote fraud/rigging. There is a fundamental problem that the campaign has in getting people out to vote for Dr. Paul. We need to determine what that is, and fix it, fast.

Does anyone know what's going on?

It's all about the "sheep" vote...

...unfortunately. The "sheep" vote is what I call the huge throngs of uneducated brain-washed masses that don't pay attention at all... or if they do pay attention, it's only to the main stream media.

Most people are...

* Working too hard to pay their bills to pay attention to politics.

* Apathetic because we've had it so good for so long.

* Dumbed down by public education.

* Brain-washed by corporate media. They get their news only from main stream sources where we RP supporters are considered extremist kooks.

This accounts for somewhere around 85-90% of the population. The other 10-15% are voting for Ron Paul or they aren't voting at all.

The good news:

We're a lot better off than we were last election. A LOT more people have woken up thanks to the financial collapse and the housing bubble bursting. WAAAAY more people know what's up and that's going to be good going down the road. This movement is NOT just about RP being president. This is going to be a long, hard battle from now on out whether we win the White House or not.

The bad news:

We still don't have the numbers to win the republican nomination. Unfortunately propaganda works really well on mind-numbed, uneducated idiots. Our government has made sure these people are in wide majority.

Sounds harsh I know. So sue me. We still have freedom of speech... sort of.

Oh... and vote rigging and fraud. But that's not the main reason.

Ok.

I won't talk to you about vote fraud/rigging.

Why aren't people voting?

It seems that there needs to be more nationwide education of the issues and Ron Paul's stand on each one, even going into the highways, the byways and the hidden places. The average American doesn't have a clue as to the importance of voting OR the idea that their vote DOES count. We are glad to see the younger people rising up to make their voice heard. May there be more voices heard and may the liberty bell of freedom ring across America SOON! Wake up Americans!

Isn't it media hype?

It's mostly media hype and best wishes of the Paul campaign, but many of the supporters are out of state supporters who attend rallies in neighboring states.

When we live in a world of 24 hour news stations, they're bound to run out of material and say "Why not ponder Ron Paul winning a few states?" And when he doesn't, it simply becomes "underperforming".

I'd be happy for this to be

I'd be happy for this to be true, but it was the campaign itself that predicted 3 wins on Super Tuesday. :/ Making these sort of predictions that come no where near true makes me really doubt the campaign (and I'm really sad to say that).

I still support the good Doctor with all my heart and will do all I can to help. The point of my post here is to determine the root cause for not getting enough people out to vote. There has to be something we can do!

I think

they naively predicted this based on their rallies. Which they should have known draw many more than vote in those areas since people come far and wide to do so.

A lot of people

come from out of state to his rallies. Also, a lot of young people that go to his rallies are not registered voters, so they can't help him. Santorum is winning because he's not wasting his time with youth or Independents. He knows who votes in Republican primaries and he's spending 100% of his attention on them.

WHAT IF...

all us Paulites were to advise the GOP that either Ron gets the nomination, or we're all voting for Obama. Just a thought... I'm thinking we need to fight harder, smarter, and on more fronts.

Nothing comes to those who wait.

I am wondering the same thing

Ron Paul can get 2,000 people to a rally in a state, yet his total vote count for an entire state is 2,500.

What the heck is going on?

2 Chron 7:13-14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

well

I never thought we would get Kansas, but Hawaii, Missouri, Montana, maybe even Louisiana are all possible
