11 year-old activist

I have to tell you all about my 11 year-old daughter because I am so proud of her! We live just off a county highway with a fair amount of traffic going past our backyard daily. We have two Ron Paul signs at either end of our yard but yesterday my daughter felt like that wasn't enough. Supplied with a variety of campaign and homemade signs, she went out and did a sign wave from the backyard while I kept an eye on her from the house. Not long after she began, she was joined by two neighbor children (whose parents probably had no idea!). All three children did this for about an hour and a half. My daughter told me later that they got a lot of honks and "thumbs up," and only ONE "thumbs down."

Then on Thursday of this week, with temperatures in the 70s being forecasted, she and another friend are planning a lemonade/baked goods stand in front of the other girl's home, located on a very busy corner of our community. They are going to sell refreshments and hand out Ron Paul literature to their customers. This idea totally belongs to my daughter as well! Of course, the other mother and I get to bake the treats so it should be fun for all of us!

Good for her!
