This is so wrong

It is unconscionable for the Government to create an agency, take money from the citizens via taxation, then give special loans to their wealthy friends.
If this BILLIONAIRE need$ a loan (for whatever reasons), let him use some of "hi$" own money as collateral and borrow from one of hi$ "wall street" buddies.
This is solid evidence of money being transferred from the poor and middle classes to the ultra-rich.
This is so wrong and must come to a stop.

1) Abolish all taxation, thereby disabling corruption and abuse

2) Replace governmental apparatus with a volitional model where all public agency operates and is funded by electoral choice, including the right to withdraw from fraud

DP'ers may not like Rand

because he said he would 'be honored to be Romney's VP'. That is just hypocrisy because he would be no better than Obama in giving big favors to his donors like big banks and fed reserve bank. Rand then appears to be not be independent and has fallen into the two party trap.

He didn't say he would be honored to be Romney's VP.

He said, “I don’t know if I can answer that question, but I can say it would be an honor to be considered.”

To me his response is merely polite.

He never actually said that

He never actually said that though.

I heard it...

yes he indeed say those exact words and those same words should haunt him until he says Romney is worse than all the other conservative candidates.

From where did you hear it?

From where did you hear it? Can you provide a link? Because if you are referring to what he said after his Louisville speech, you're mistaken.

a bit different maybe

what he said was he would be honored to be considered romney's vp. that comment as you know made media rounds.

Yeah the media distorted his

Yeah the media distorted his quote.... remember this was when they were running stories about how Romney and Paul supposedly had a secret deal, and this was part of that smear. But Rand has clearly explained what he meant, and that he was talking about the office of VP itself. A reporter pressed him with the question, and he was just being polite.

Rand Paul

Rand Paul will be one of the best Presidents this country has ever seen.

the look on Chu's face at the end: priceless

keep on truckin rand!

Took Chu apart

Is it true that the software

Is it true that the software that is used in U.S. elections is ownedby a Spanish company SCYTL that is owned and operated by Goldman Sachs former partners?

Is it true that many regulators of the Federal Reserve are former Goldman Sachs veterans? For example, William Dudley, who replaced Tim Geithner as President of the NY Federal Reserve Bank and was previously the Managing Director of Goldman Sachs for a decade.

Isn't Goldman Sachs Mitt Romney's biggest campaign contributor? OMG!!!

The wife of one of our TX Senatorial Candidates

Is a former V-P of Goldman Sachs... And her history is jaw-dropping - to ME! Not to those who want her hubby 'regardless' of this abhorrent info.

And TX has a really good candidate running against "Goldman Sachs" guy... And a Constitutional one at that!

Why give

... a $500 million to a billionaire?

"Uhhhhhhhhhhhh you know, Republican people you know.... uhhhh"

Seriously, these people run our countries?

I'm glad Rand Paul is there, but I'm also troubled that he and his dad are the only two politicians I can support...

Here is someone that we need to keep an eye on for the.....

future. I havnt dug real deep into his history, however Judge Nap was talking about him on twitter

Rep. Justin Amash

We need to get behind Amash

We need to get behind Amash in this next election guys... he's the only GOP Congressman to have his district redrawn in Michigan and he is in for a very very tough fight. Apparently he's pissed off the establishment by voting with Ron so many times...

Amash is awesome, I wish he were a little less socially conservative, but his limited Govt. philosophy, like Ron's means his personal opinions don't matter...

like kucinch, amash may lose....

as he would be one of the few congressman to voice criticism of establishment. apparently, you can't get away with doing good for too long.

Justin Amash is another

Justin Amash is another Constitutionalist. Imagine what it will be like when we have 20 or 30 of em in the mix!

Why would a constitutionalist support Mitt Romney?

Correct me if i'm wrong, doesn't Justin Amash support Romney for the GOP nomination?

At least according to

At least according to Wikipedia page of Amash he endorsed Ron Paul for president in 2012.

I sure would like to see the rest of this to see

if Chu had more to say in response.

Rand Paul - What a man!

I've got two living heroes. Rand and his old man. Those two really know how to expose the and PWN the PTB.

Whoop A$$

How can these people keep getting away with crimes that are off the charts in terms of theft of our labor and energy.

so much doesn't pass the smell test.

"...you're overseeing something that really doesn't pass the 'smell test'." HAHAHA, love it.

This is one of the best Q&A I

This is one of the best Q&A I have seen in a long time.

Shouldn't the questioning be about the constitutionality of the

loan? Why are we giving a loan at all? That's like a mother scolding a child for stealing money out of her purse, giving it to a friend, and then scolding him for giving $100 instead of only $5.00. In both cases it is the theft that is wrong.

He did mention "picking winners and losers"

a couple of times. People argue that easier than "it looks like favors" or "giving loans to billionaires"..

I think he made a good move. I personally would like to hear more of the immorality of taking from others in your context but he still brought the immorality issue out, just in another way.

How about the Constitutionality of the Dept. of Energy itself?

There is no authority as most of the other depts. lack to even exist.
Yep. Constitutionality indeed!
