I hope Louisiana breaks the southern trend. Could be first win in a state

I have been busting my butt in Ruston (La Tech campus) and Deridder-Rosepine (home town) Lets hope the work paid off. I will tell you no other campain outworked us here. Well, lets be honest, there was NO OTHER PRESENCE from another campain here. I gotta feeling that the Louisiana primary will be a great day for us! By the way I am not done here. I will be in a parade in Iowa, Louisiana. And guess who will be throwing out a few hundred Super Brochures???? Thats right....ME! Get ready guys...The final Louisiana push is underway. Please help in anyway you guys can. Just know there is a guy representing Paul with dignity and honor down in Louisiana. Me and my sister will also be doing a sign wave in our drive way reminding everyone that voting is March, 24th. Don't forget, Louisiana also has a caucus. So.......Get ready for some serious delegates. Now sit back and cross your fingers for a good showing in the two caucuses today

Ruston does have a pretty

Ruston does have a pretty strong RP following, prob is how many of them are gonna vote. Same ol same ol. Lots of RP signs and bumper stickers though. Good to see another Ruston supporter on here. I'm a local business owner here in Ruston and many of my customers, even the older ones do bring him up in conversations. Most of them like him. The jist(sp) I get is alot of them like Newt also though.

When you throw out Super Brochures or

any other literature, tell us, do you come away with a name, with a number, with an email, with a location?

Then you have nothing and you will go into the event thinking you will see a win and you will be so very disappointed. Because there is no accountability, no follow-up, no way to get the one who read the flyer, who saw the banner, who nodded their head in agreement, TO THE PLACE WHERE THEY CAST A VOTE FOR RON PAUL.

Telephone, knock on doors, collect the DATA, or you will lose!

Phil. 4:13

Note that the brochure gives the date to vote

And yes the things listed above are better than throwing super brochures, however, when people read these, they see something special and different. I cannot see and talk to all these people one on one at the parade, therefore this is the next best thing. I have talked to others when I can and I get great feedback for those who care to vote. Thanks for the feedback. When the streets and people are blanketed with super brochures, they will have no choice but to notice and wonder, wow ron paul? Lets look into this guy...BAM

Applauding the efforts

and not directed toward the SB per se, still the comments stand. You have nothing if you do not have the contact info to use to get folks to the caucus or primary. Period. Ask your state director. :-)

Hopefully history will show

Hopefully history will show Maine as the first win.

I would be more than happy with that!

I don't want louisiana to be the first STATE win (NOTING THAT WE WON THE POP. VOTE IN VIRGIN ISLANDS) In all reality he will most likely win the delegate count there by far. However, I want Dr. Paul to win in LA. Geaux Paul.

We protested Santorum in Lafayette tonight

Santorum was talking at a local hotel. About 15 of us went out to wave signs in front of it. Lots of cars honked at us which made me happy. Only eventual thing was afterwards. A Santorum supporter said he supported Rick over Ron because of his view that homosexuals may be born that way. He then went on to tell me that God would hold me accountable for my actions and that he would trust the Bible over medicine. Also said what we were doing was not very good for Ron Paul. We ended up staying till Santorum left

"A Santorum supporter said he supported Rick over Ron because of his view that homosexuals may be born that way."

That's just stupid. I even agree with that person on the sinfulness of homosexual "sex", but who cares whether or not they are born that way? We all have genetic weaknesses, which can lead to various temptations. Some are more genetically prone to become alcoholics, have impulse control disorders, etc., and my guess is that some are more genetically prone to have homosexual temptations as well.

Just because we might be genetically prone to certain temptations doesn't mean that the behavior is automatically morally licit.

On the other hand, Christians really need to get over their hate (yes, hate) of homosexuals. They are simply people who are prone to different temptations than we are. Many of them are trying, with the grace of God, to resist their temptations.

Great job guys, spread our message!

I really do hope Dr. Paul will win in LA. Keep a look out though, GOP will pull tricks (as they always do)

Good Job!

We cannot let any of "THEM" Win OUR state. I will give every ounce of fight in me to give Ron a win here. He has earned this. Rick don't come back. Your not welcomed here. You messed up when you had the chance to vote. Hold these small government wannabes feet to the fire. We can't let them win

Caucus is what matters but...

We are about to embark in winner take all states and we need to start winning some popular votes in states. Louisiana is a good start. (Note this is before Hawaii and samoa) Anyway, we can win here. Espically with Newt, and Rick, and Mitt so close together. We can break 25 percent. We can do it! Then its on to the caucus

Throw out those new

Throw out those new comparison sheets instead, those are pretty good!

Middle class business people and Protestant Christians

Take the message to those two groups and Dr. Paul may have a decent chance.

LA Primary

Does not matter. From what I here it's all about the delegates when they caucus in April.

I think he will kill the delegates but he will be smashed in the popular vote. No way he even gets 20% in the "straw poll" March 24th.

does anyone remember the results from louisiana in 2008 ??

if i remember correctly, in 2008, dr. paul was expected to do very well there, but louisiana never announced any official vote count following there caucus.
does anyone here have those numbers??

Primary numbers Huckabee

Primary numbers

Huckabee 69,594 43.2%
McCain 67,551 41.9
Romney 10,222 6.3
Paul 8,590 5.3

To arms! To arms! The Redcoats are coming!

thanks for your reply

i'm surprised by these numbers. i thought dr. paul would have had a much better vote total there.

Thanx for the hard work and effort

your sister too!

I think he should...

I also have yet to see ANY signs, bumper stickers, or publicity of any of the other canidates. Ron Paul is the only one that can be seen everyday just by stepping out of the door. I and the Paul Campain is destroying the other canidates here. I wouldn't be suprised to see a win. Espically with the three others leveling out the vote. LOUISIANA CAN DO THIS

good work!

Pat Buchanan, another non-interventionist, anti establishment guy won Louisiana in 1996 in an upset. Louisiana has a large Catholic population and Paul should taut his Abortion policy and his work at Catholic hospitals.

Anyone But Ron Paul would be brainwash

straight from Paul's own campaign:
Anything but conservative...
*** Padding his own wallet as a corporative lobbyist at the expense of taxpayers;
*** Voting to RAISE the debt ceiling five times;
*** Voting to DOUBLE the federal Department of Education;
*** Urging more federal involvement in housing with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac;
*** Voting to create a brand new, unfunded entitlement, Medicare Part D, the largest expansion of entitlement spending since President Lyndon Johnson - creating $16 TRILLION in unfunded liabilities;
*** Voting for Sarbanes-Oxley, which imposed dramatic new job-killing accounting regulations on businesses;
*** Supporting raising taxes on oil companies, which directly costs Americans more money out of their pockets at the pump;
*** Voting for gun control;
*** Voting to give Social Security benefits to illegal aliens, while voting against an additional 1,000 border patrol agents;
*** Voting to give $25 million in foreign aid to North Korea;
*** Voting to send hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to "Planned Parenthood" - the nation's largest provider of abortion - and hand out hundreds of billions of dollars in foreign aid to enemies of Israel.
Willard(mitt) Romney:
He and Mrs backed "Planned Parenthood" with $125,000.00 of their own $$$ never mind romneycare.

“The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time: the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them.”

– Thomas Jefferson

beyond belief

romney, gingrich, and santorum are all extremely poor candidates. all the GOP needs to do is say "santorum is conservative", and everyone buys it, just because the party says so. almost nobody bothers to check the facts.

Is Paul coming to Louisiana?

The LaGOP mentioned Romney, Newt, and Santorum in Louisiana this week, but there is no mention of Ron Paul. Is that another black out or is he not scheduled to come here?
I have not seen signs from any candidates here, but I do see Ron Paul bumper stickers.

My hope has always been with

My hope has always been with you guys. I think you will do it this time. I really do.

He has a good organization down there.

Is he scheduled to have any rallies there?

That would be sweet.

Have there been any voter surveys (polls)? I know from personal experience it is easy to be fooled by anecdotal evidence. Only a scientific survey begins to give you the true picture.

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

LOUISIANA is like the NH of the south

Southern, but have that Cajun independent streak

I hope so too

the campaign office in Baton rouge has been working hard to get phone calls out. i hope we poll higher than mississippi

Don' t worry my young CAJUN YANKEE!! LoL!

You know as well as I do that anything above Alexandria makes you a temporary yankee.

The support here is really much better than you can imagine. If you need help up in the mountains of north Louisiana just send me an e-mail and I will put you in touch with a wonderful young lady here in Baton Rouge. Or just call the headquarters and ask for Heather.

She is running(volunteering) the main headquarters here and is a great resource. I am very good friends with her husband and can try to help as much as possible.

Keep up your good work and your excitement. Makes an old guy like me, very proud. Most people in this country look down on individuals from the South. That is why I don't consider Louisiana from the south. We are ACADIANA!

Something about HEART, white boots, crawfish, shrimp, andouille, gumbo makes us different. My MAMA taught me that if you can cook, you will NEVER be fried. LoL! Mama was a smart women.
