Keep On Keeping on everyone, btw I heard Ron Paul is going to be in Cali over the next few weeks. I'll be in LA if anyone knows where he's gonna be post up! Thx Cheers!!!

We Are The Ronpaul R[̲̅ə̲̅٨̲̅٥̲̅٦̲̅]ution!!!

golden opportunity if only dr. paul and gingrich show up.

there's just no way any participant can be ignored or denied speaking time if there are only 2 candidates there. a one-on-one debate with any of the neocon candidates would be fantastic.

I agree to an extent, however

I agree to an extent, however I know that if it was specifically Paul and Gingirch, it would give the MSM a very powerful 'spin' to use for the following week. "Oh look at that, the 2 losers are duking it out"

You and I, and all of us here, know that Paul could smash Gingrich(even though Gingrich is 'the great debater', remember the Chickenhawk moment, Gingrich is not invincible in debates). The problem is, many people do not read beyond the headlines. And while it would give all of us here a boost, it would do little to help those unfamiliar with Paul truly recognize him(which, as I can see from some of the comments, would defeat the purpose of this, since many claim it would be great for exposure, but if it's just him and Gingrich, the headline can be spun for negative exposure).

I would love to see a Paul v Santorum debate though, that would be amazing for PR.

Yes, PLEASE Dr. Paul

My brother is an Oregonian and he voted for Obama but is disillusioned (and he is a fan of Jon Stewart) NOW is your chance to strike.

To the Ron Paul Campaign: We NEED a good debate! Let's do this.

Time to INVESTIGATE the investigators of 9/11. PROSECUTE the prosecutors. EXPOSE the cover-up.

go for it !!

Please Dr.Paul, even if its with only Newt, you can shred him on Foreign Policy alone.
and in addition u can attack Santorum and Romney !!
we need the publicity NOW !!

Dr.Ron Paul's 2002 Predictions

One thing is for sure, if Dr.

One thing is for sure, if Dr. Paul does indeed participate...it will be PBS's largest audience since the days when Sesame Street was cool.

anyway Ron can get media

anyway Ron can get media coverage is a good thing. Of course, the best is if he could debate a candidate one on one so he doesn't get screwed on time, but he needs to be out there in the spotlight none the less.

And we need to compare the candidates ourselves to people too. A great tool to get a conversation going about Dr. Paul are the comparison sheets. They compare Ron Paul to the other candidates on the issues. See for yourself the different versions I have out there and decide which one(s) you think would pull in the most votes specifically for your community.

It's the best PR we've got! It's the only way most people get to hear Ron without any editing! Even if it's just against Newt! And if there's less candidates, there's more time for Ron! Arrgh!! Wasn't the 2008 debates the thing that attracted so many Paul supporters in the first place!? Just have the debates in the states that are about to have a vote! I'm so frustrated with Ron turning down debates, including the Huckabee ones. :( Giving speeches only attracts people who are already voting for him! ARGHHHH! It's enough to make me want to hold my own debates on a street-corner against a Mittricknewt supporter.

Hey, that's not a bad idea. "Survive a debate with me for 5 minutes and get a free silver Ron Paul coin!" Now THAT'll attract a crowd.

We don't get much national coverage

She shines in the last debate (As expected MSM blacked him about and run the rumor instead...)

But we can have him shines again in this one!

Though I think final decision goes to the campaign ... still think it's a good idea though... but we might overlook something the campaign see?

He should debate one or all of them!

NPR is a great platform for all the disenfranchised liberals to hear a true anti war candidate speak. Ron Paul will rise above in this scenario.

I say

I say we screw the repulbician party and have Ron Paul bring up a third party as a possibility due to this media bias and see if the GOP is going to igrone that. Ron Paul will get 20%+. There's no real choice. Obama and the rest of the GOP is the same. No Balance budget. No peace candidate. Wars and more wars. More government. We need Ron as a third party. We are the true Republician Party. We are the Other choice.

Ron needs to be there PLEASE!

Alot of people are thinking he is not in the race anymore due to media!Even my local coverage now does not even show his name!

The story (was short enough to post here)

Oregon GOP Willing To Hold Debate With 3 Presidential Candidates

The Oregon Republican Party says it's prepared to move forward with plans for a debate featuring three of the GOP presidential candidates.

Mitt Romney has declined to participate in a Presidential Primary debate in Portland. Newt Gingrich has accepted a debate invitation.

Debate organizers have not yet heard from the campaigns for Rick Santorum and Ron Paul.

The debate is scheduled to take place at OPB on Monday, March 19th. PBS and NPR have agreed to air the debate live, on public television and radio stations.

Oregon Republican Party chairman Allen Alley says the party wants to give voters an opportunity to hear "more in-depth, thoughtful answers from candidates about how they stand on critical issues."

Alabama and Mississippi hold presidential primaries Tuesday.

When Fascism goes to sleep, it checks under the bed for Ron Paul!

It wouldn't be nationally televised,

would it?

Public Broadcast (the host)

No MSM is the name of the

No MSM is the name of the game

I think this a great idea

I think this a great idea because since the MSM blackout, many people believe that DR. Paul is out of the race already. Most of the pics that you see of the candidates in the media don't show The Doctor anymore. Exposure at this time is key. Many points could be made about current affairs of the state that the media refuses to acknowledge. If given a fair share of time, I think the Doctor could kick some ass!!
Let the campaing know we want this.

I like how you referred to Ron as "The Doctor".

Doctor who?

As much as I dislike PBS,

As much as I dislike PBS, they do a good job at remaining fair and professional during their debates unlike Fox, CNN, etc.

Maybe the decision has been made that 20 "debates" is enough

Ron Paul always does well at these joint media appearances. I don't know if they can be called debates - a good portion of the questioning revolves around the MSM trying to spark friction rather than shed light. Possibly the Paul campaign has decided enough of these Hollywood-style shows for MSM ratings have already happened. There must be a better way to choose the leader of the free world, even though RP would be happy with just being the leader of the U.S.A.. That said, RP needs something to bring the sheep out of their stupor.

Finally he will be coming to Oregon! Too bad I have finals and can't make it to Portland. Dr. Paul has a lot of support, at least from people I know in Southern Oregon. I spread the message to my fellow students as much as I can. A debate at SOU would be nice.

...Then they came for me —
and by that time no one was left to speak up.

-Pastor Martin Niemöller

I'm sure Romney hates these debates

He hates to answer questions that put him on the spot. He would rather give a pre-written speech, preferably on a teleprompter, smile, wave to the crowd and leave before people have a chance to ask him questions. That's why he'll lose against Obama.

It is better to look dumb and not be, than to look smart and not be.

Come out swinging!

My hope for a debate strategy would be this: Come out with a fresh message on all topics. We don't need a rerun of the past 20 debates. I'd like to see a performance laden with concise soundbites that the media can replay quickly and slip into bumpers before commercial breaks. "Because he's a fake" comes to mind as an example. Limit the technical jargon. Simplify. Talk about the dangerous path were on, but end each statement with a positive vision of our new path to liberty. Retool the foreign policy to sound practical, smart, and most importantly, TOUGH, but only when it is called for by Congress. In other words, walk softly and carry a big stick. A relentless attack on the other candidates records should be employed.

Yes, We are in this to spread

Yes, We are in this to spread the MESSAGE of Liberty. We need to embrace every outlet we are given on the National Stage. Ron would do well with the increased time and to present himself as SANE alternative to the two neo-cons.

Paul vs Santorum and Gingrich!

Ahhh, he will Crush them. Last performance was incredible! Even if only Gingrich debates him, it will be well worth the time.
