OMG FOX NEWS debate Live...UNREAL!!!
Submitted by shatari on Sun, 01/06/2008 - 20:31A supporter was posting signs in the building behind the debate in the black and white colonial building when Drop Dead Fred was just speaking 8:14 pm...police/guard rush in a rip the signs down and then rush out of building. Fox blurred the signs but had them removed immediately most likely by local police...unreal!!!!

Fox is in bed with McCain
It wasn't totally clear to me why Fox would exclude Ron from the debate when they included Rudy who Ron beat by 2.5 times in Iowa, and Fred who isn't even campaigning in New Hampshire. I watched the first hour of the debate before starting my Fox boycott. Also, I had to go to Church tonight so I couldn't watch the rest. I don't believe in pre-emptive war and I don't believe in pre-emptive boycotts, but Fox has now fired the first shot and so I will fire back (figuratively, of course, via boycott.)
What became clear to me after reflecting on the debate is that Fox is in bed with McCain, or at the very least, they want him to win New Hampshire. About 50 minutes into the debate (I wish I could upload this via youtube) they asked McCain a question about his "amnesty" bill. McCain said that Romney previously said he supported the bill and that it wasn't amnesty. JUST AS HE WAS SAYING THIS, Fox news threw up a graphic showing a 2005 quote from Romney agreeing with McCain. This had the effect of making Romney look like a flip-flopper. Fox had to have had this planned to respond so quickly, and they had to know it would come up given yesterday's debate. I've never seen anything like that in all my years watching debates. The networks ONLY show the candidates and are supposed to let us decide. They NEVER flash graphics backing up one of the candidates. They are, in effect, saying McCain is right.
This gets me back to why Ron was excluded. Fox knows that McCain's biggest competition in Iowa besides Romney (whom even they couldn't leave out) is Ron Paul. New Hampshire is 41% independent and RON PAUL took 29% of the independents' votes in Iowa, the most of any Republican. So they are trying to marginalize Ron to throw the New Hampshire election to McCain. It was clear to me after the debates a few months ago before Huckabee's bogus surge that Fox was promoting the heck out of Huck. They didn't want Romney to win Iowa either.
Two possible reasons for this. 1, if Romney had won Iowa and New Hampshire, it would have nearly sewn up the nomination for him, deflating the interest in the Republican primaries and deflating Fox's ratings. However, if Huck wins Iowa, McCain New Hampshire, Romney Michigan (and Wyoming - how bogus was that?), Fred South Carolina, and Rudy Florida, people will be glued to the sets on Super Tuesday and Fox can charge a bundle for advertising. Ron needs to get a state or two before that, perhaps Nevada and/or Michigan? 2, Romney's company bought Clear Channel Communications. They own 141 radio stations or thereabouts. Could they be a competitor to Fox Radio (heavily publicized tonight during the debate)? My limited understanding of the radio business is that there are content providers (Fox Radio) and content distributors (radio stations.) Fox must be in fear of a Romney presidency favoring stations over syndicators. Sounds a little farfetched I know, but we all saw how Halliburton thrived under a Cheney vice-presidency.
I thought Fox was in bed
I thought Fox was in bed with Giuliani?
You guys are really getting on my nerves with your paranoid conspiracy rants.
Dr. Paul will do better than expected again in NH, but frankly we are hampered by a the lack of 'sheen' on our candidate. We have a campaign in disarray, our good doctor is an amiable genius, but cannot narrow our message in an effective way to communicate with average Americans, who are not Washington insiders. Ugh. My heart and head hurts so much since we seemingly cannot get out our message in a clear, passionate and actionable way for voters.

Who Fox is in bed with
Actually Fox is in bed with Rudy McRomabeeson, the only Republican candidate other than Ron Paul. Rudy McRomabeeson wants endless war, endless deficits, and a destroyed currency, and that's what Fox wants.
I agree
And all this Rudy, Fred, and Huckster crap threads are annoying..We should focus on Paul.. Right now we need votes in NH
The Fox "Debate" is Irrelevant
Who cares about the Fox "debate?" I bet most voters can't be bothered to watch this mindless bit of "journalism." I bet a lot of voters would rather watch the wrap-up of this weekend's NFL playoff games. None of the Republicans appearing in tonight's "debate" has even a remote chance of getting elected this November. So who will win next week, Jacksonville or New England?

THANK YOU Fox News!
I've been looking at some NON-Ron Paul political commentary sites this evening, and Fox News' egregiously unfair exclusion of Ron Paul from their "forum" has purchased us millions of dollars in publicity and sympathy, even from (former?) non-supporters. Much smarter than sending Fox spit-spewing nastygrams---Send them THANK YOU notes; that'll REALLY torque their guts! I'll bet we'll pick up 3-5% of the NH vote out of sympathy and resentment of outside interference alone.
And, while you're at it, send you a THANK YOU to the NH GOP chairman for his fair treatment of us---we haven't received this at the hands of the GOP insiders almost anywhere else.
I just hope and pray no Ron Paul "supporter" (or neo-con mole) upsets our gravy train by disrupting the debate. Are we FOR Ron Paul--or do we just want to vent our bile, even if the excrement falls on Ron Paul?

Fox News
Thanks for watching FAUX so I don't have to. :)
.
We Need This on Video
Do we have it anywhere? We desperately need to get this out, using http://tell10friends.com or any other source we can.
People HAVE to see things like this!
You Suck Fox News
You suck Fox News.
The night simply did not seem right without the only non-pandering, non-demogoguing candidate.
All these type A, insecure jerks make me sick…That includes you Huckabee. Your fair tax is a disaster. Fortunately for you, you already have most of the evangelicals snowed already with your wit and stellar Bass guitar playing. WWJD you might ask? He would bring our troops home, and open up peaceful trade agreements with other countries instead of patroling the streets provoking terror. Also, McCain is a great choice too…if you want to still be in Iraq in the year 2300!
God Bless Ron Paul. He’s the only hope we have.
Corporations are Owned By Individuals
Yes, I can agree corporations do not have rights. But corporations are business entities in effect owned by a number of individuals, the share holders. So indeed, property owned by corporations is at a final level owned by individuals. So to push this argument further, damaging Faux News property is inevitably hurting the owners of shares.
I do think the best strategies to date to harm Fox News is to boycott their advertisers and appeal to them to find other ways to advertise. This will force Faux to change through basic market forces of losing advertising money. Also, I did like the idea of getting the FCC on their butts. Nothing like getting a massive Federal agency against it's own interests.
Going to the FCC would be hypocritical to Paul's philosophy
Paul is in favor of abolishing the FCC. Paul wants no regulation at all of the media, even if it is regulation to make the media "fair." The market should be the only regulator.
listen to paul on this subject before you post.
there is plenty of youtube on it.
ron paul 2008

Think again if you think
Think again if you think there is a "free market" in the media. Hah!

Peace Devon
The apathy cured
Think about the apathy you would feel for this election if every debate was without Ron Paul. It should remind you of the difference you have made by supporting this campaign!
MSNBC :"HAND IT TO RON PAUL SUPPORTERS"
http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/01/06/554799.aspx
From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
There really was no justification for eliminating Ron Paul from this debate, given his poll standing in New Hampshire and total money raised. They have a strong argument that he was eliminated because he doesn't hold the Republican line on foreign policy. And you have to hand it to his supporters for figuring out where even Fox's focus group was going to be. They certainly made a statement, marching outside with Ron Paul signs, including one that called Fox "unfair." Paul won't likely win the New Hampshire primary, but he deserved a seat at the table, as did Richardson and he last night. And it's why the Republican Party of New Hampshire pulled out as a sponsor of tonight's debate/forum.
the enemy of freedom
We have met the enemy, and they are Fox News.

Ron Paul

Way to go NH.
The 1776 Revolution was not won...
by playing fair. Pat(riots) actually died for the cause. Really. What lengths are we willing to go to take back our country? What do we really need to do to get Ron Paul elected? This will not be child's play.
"I should'a brought a bigger boat."
Unfortunately
it looks like too many people will not do anything positive until we get in a crisis. It certainly will not be child's play. We have to do the best we can to make sure freedom, peace and prosperity become a reality.
Are they paid and scripted

Censorship At Ron Paul Forums
Sad to report, but Administrators over at RP Forums deleted some threads supposedly due to violent threats at the faux forum. I was on those threads and anything that was said was purely opinion and NOT condoning violence.
What thin skins we have now days.
WHY???????
Is anybody watching FAUX NEWS anyway?!?!?!
