Doug Wead ~ Corruption in GA

From description under YT video ~

On Saturday March 10th, in Athens, GA, the democratic process was trampled on. The Athens-Clarke county GOP met to hold their annual county convention. The convention was held to nominate, approve, and pass slates of delegates to the party's district and state conventions. County chairman Matt Brewster and nominating committee chairman John Elliot blatantly broke the rules of their own party when they improperly, and without a majority, passed delegate slates and adjourned the convention amidst cries for "division", which is a call for a standing head count. With that, many sitting precinct delegates were disenfranchised, and the convention was improperly closed. When warned that their conduct was jeopardizing the status of the delegates and alternates for the entire county, the chair Matt Brewster directed all questions to John Padgett, who is the Secretary of the Georgia State Republican Party. Unfortunately, Mr. Padgett refused to answer questions and fled the scene along with the rest of the local GOP leadership. (continued on YT)

Hahaha YES!

I love how much traction this is getting... and Swann just interviewed Brent Stafford! I think it's gonna be on tomorrow...

I give up, what does YT mean?

I think it means

Disgusting ...

And I suspect this is going on all over the country. As a lifelong Republican and not that young any more this fires me up and makes me want to fight. I suspect this will be my LAST election as a Republican. In the meantime I'm on the Ballot for LA County Central Committee in my AD in California. If I win I will be absolutely tenacious to rid the Republican Party of all NEOCON liars and cheats as long as I'm in office and have breath in my lungs.

Ron Paul 2012 for the Republic!

Update from Athens GA (youtube comment)

"We reconvened the convention since it was improperly closed down and elected our own slate of delegates the state and district conventions. We filmed the whole thing and served notice of our slate via certified mail to the state, district, and local GOP today! We filmed the whole thing and Ben Swann will be covering it on his internet show "Reality Check" next week, so stay tuned."

Truth is treason in an empire of lies

The election fraud could be a useful tool.

About 3 or 4 good documented instances would be the reason Ron Paul would have to choose a 3rd party attempt if he desires to OWH (occupy the White House). This would have to be handled with extreme professionalism, because you would basically be calling the GOP lying, cheatin', low down scum.
Even if it's true, you have to be careful how you say it. A third party run would be a long shot, against the well oiled Obama machine, but hey, Ross Perot got about 20%.

When rights are violated

When rights are violated by a non-existent convention (as posted in PA below) or one that was not conducted properly, hold your own conventions (with the proper people invited) which follow the rules, and then send your own slate of delegates to the next level.

If the next level consists of majority of Paul supporters, you will win, or if the chair is a person of integrity, you might have a chance. At worst, you've created some news, maybe gotten some publicity about the corruption, and wasted a bunch of their time.

I'm sorry, but learning

I'm sorry, but learning robert's rules of order isn't going to do any good. Robert's rules are not law! The GOP is a private club and they can do this and get away with it. To those who say that violence is not the answer… you might be right, but Thomas Jefferson disagrees with you:

"The tree of Liberty needs to be watered from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

Thomas Jefferson

Personally, I think that Jefferson knows a lot more about how to actually have a revolution than a bunch of flower children and people who think that robert's rules of order has the strength of law.

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men and women to not support Ron Paul!

one step at a time there Larry...

We need to use SHAME to shame the hell out of him. People should have stood up and called them cheaters traitors and if they own a store yelled out BOYCOTT and squeeze them economically in every way possible. Advertise what he did and get more people to shame him. Spray paint his car with "traitor." Keep calling them labeling them "traitor of the Constitution, traitor of the U.S." that should work. Traitor, traitor, traitor. I would followed them farts and keep calling each of them a traitor as background noise while the lady questions them. I would have said they took bribed to throw the progress--whether real or not, I don't give a shit--put out the fire with gasoline. They want to throw the process you throw shit at them and make it stick.

roberts rules are basically the bylaws of the corporation. Since the republican state party is a business entity under the state corporate status, it's bylaws fall under the judicial branch of government. I see no difference between filing lawsuits against a corporation like Pepsico, and a Republican State Committee. When either business entity breaks its own bylaws, and in this instance the minority is trying to dictate party business to a majority it is my opinion that they open themselves up to fraud lawsuits, racketeering, rico statutes, contract law. etc.

I would file lawsuits against the entity as well as the individuals associate with the breaking of the bylaws beyond just filing your official slate of delegates. I would also consider restraining orders to stop them from filing their fraudulent delegates, and consider trying to convene a grand jury to hear testimony of fraud and then decide if the person, or entity should be indicted!. You can do a state grand jury and move up to federal once the "false" slate of delegates is being sent to national I suspect. See if you can convene a grand jury in your state to hear the fraud. You will also have to find a DA or prosecutor. Worth a try if the fraud is well documented in this case. Just some suggestions. Cheers

That's what we need, use the law to break the law breakers...

Hopefully the law is not broken. I would come together and form a big group and protest outside them cheaters place of work/home then follow with law suits. Protesting in mass helps and when you send out the call for Paul supporters will come protest him into submission.

I say: if you can't make it better, don't make it worst!

They are "law" within the GOP

They are "law" within the GOP conventions/meetings, the point is the GOP are violating their own "laws" and need to be exposed for it.

We need more Ron Paul supporters at higher level of GOP leadership so they can help enforce the rules in situations like this, and punish those who break them.

Call your legislators...

Building on this comment, I think you guys should also call your legislators in Congress and pressure them to talk to the GOP from their end. Expressing how angry you are with the corp., GOP party and how if they continue to go on the cheating way we'll jump ship. We should all write to the Republican Party in each of our state to warn them not to tamper with votes or the election process, should we find out we will jump the party ship and leave the GOP candidate as retaliation--we will not back any GOP candidate and no GOP candidate can win without the real number of Paul's voters. Either they do it honestly or they lose by cheating.

I say: if you can't make it better, don't make it worst!

I got your back Larry

Legal Consequences

This is such a blatantly corrupt act it beggars the mind that they think they can get away with it! O, they may be able to block us this go 'round, but HEADS MUST ROLL!

Possible avenues to pursue are Mail fraud, unjust enrichment, breach of contract, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO laws).

I bet if we were to start shaking their trees, get one to snitch on the other to try to save themselves... I bet if we were to just pull on the strings of this farce, the whole thing will unravel. Are their any attorneys on Daily Paul who are licensed to practice in GA?

The Owners of the Republican Party...

There is a good case against the Republicans with the Corrupt Organizations Act. Problem is that the actual "Owners" of the Republican Party will use any means necessary to pressure the judicial system. These owners have a track record of doing exactly that.

Sue the whole Party

To Bad we just cant sue the whole damn party for False Advertising.. I think we have a good enought history to prove that the do not follow there party platform and thus have false advertised! Lets sue for 400 Million and donate it all to Ron Paul.. ;-P

All we need to do is be like Lorie

use the camera in your cell phone.

I applaud the group that

I applaud the group that stood up to the GOP "leaders". You should all be given medals of honor for demanding your right to be heard. This is not over. Keep pushing. There will be change.

why not meet in secret

whats the point in carrying out this sham ?
why not have a closed door meeting and select Romney delegates and get over with it ?
why have the caucus and primaries if the "leadership" has already decided on the nominee ?
why waste our time, lets declare that US has the same electoral system as of China !!

oh, btw.. is this Brewster related to the Brewster from Maine ?

Dr.Ron Paul's 2002 Predictions

Sheez... they're not even trying to hide it anymore.

I guess they figure they don't have to so why put up any false pretenses.

If men are good, you don't need government; if men are evil or ambivalent, you don't dare have one.

Similar Problem in Pennsylvania

My county's GOP is supposed to hold an endorsement convention in which all the county committeepeople (400 some) decide whom to endorse, if anyone. This year, they did not hold a convention, and, in direct violation of the party bylaws, the Excecutive Committee (the top 20 or so party hacks) voted in private and then announced to all the committee people the endorsed candidates, including those running for delegate. As you might expect, none of the Ron Paul delegate candidates were endorsed. The word is that they are all Romney backers. Talk about being disenfranchised.

Send or post this to Ben

Send or post this to Ben Swann's facebook page or email. He is doing a "Reality Check" segment on the news early next week about what happend in GA and is looking for evidence like this!!!!

The GOP deserves a third party Paul run

The GOP deserves a third party Paul run to derail them if Paul isn't the nominee.

The time is now.

The GOP has proven that they will do anything to keep Ron out. They won't even allow his delegates, fairly won, by blatantly violating their own rules. But we must understand that this conduct is primarily a *political* act not a legal one. The vast majority of people could care less whether Ron's county delegates were wrongfully shut out. Legal action would be ineffective and a costly distraction.

The only way to fight a political attack is with another political action. Ron should immediately prepare for a third party run. Now. I've been involved in a number of ballot access drives, including Ron's in 1988. All the enthusiasm in the world will not compensate for organization. Collecting signatures is not the same as waving signs.

The GOP has served it's purpose. Ron running 3rd party, even if he loses will screw the GOP for their conduct. A 20% showing will be enough to go forward, leaving the neocons a permanent minority. Paybacks are hell.

Shame them on their own FB page

Go post on their own FB page and let them know "WE ARE WATCHING!"
