Ron no longer has any excuse for not confronting others
Submitted by FreeJesseVentura on Sun, 01/06/2008 - 21:57In his town hall tonight, he directly challenged the records and statement of his rivals, Romney and Giuliani. He needs to pick up the boxing gloves and let it fly from now on. There is no longer any excuse for not defending himself properly, ESPECIALLY when he is mischaracterized in person. He cannot continue to look weak, even though he's the most sensible candidate in our lifetimes.

Speak softly
I can tell that Dr, Paul is a man of peace and strength . I for one would could not do what he does and just let the others , in effect, bully me.I understand that Dr. paul speaks softlyand intelligently and carries a big stick I just wish he would use it sometimes against the others or at least let me . There are no more excuses for not going after the others . He has the truth and the record to prove it ,the others dont.

Just remember what he told Guiliani,
'you ain't seen noth'in yet!"
"Vote for Paul if you want it all! Goodbye taxes! Goodbye big bro! Hello all my money! Oh! There you are freedom! What?! You have maryjane!?! Oh, wait, everything is fine now...the Doc saved America!"

Ron Paul running for office
Ron Paul running for office is a paradox. Basically, he needs to campaign as if his life depended on getting this job (the presidency), yet he would need to drastically weaken the powers of the presidency to uphold the strict interpretation of the Constitution.
One must to fight to rule from a politically weakened position... interesting isn't it? :)

Ron Paul Plays it Safe
He tends to play it safe by falling back on his wonderful attitude and respect. He really needs to stand up for his policies when they are attacked.
I strongly urge Ron and supporters to not get into the attack ad ideas. These have been proven to interest people but they have also been proven to not sway the vote. This would only hurt the character Ron Paul has shown thus far.
Lastly, Ron desperately needs to be more clear about his policies. Far too often he will say things like "We need to remove the department of education" without backing it with the fact that the states would take control of running those. Rather we like it or not, most people in America don't know our education system and when they hear about removing the department they think he is going to remove education.
I agree with you here. I
I agree with you here. I can't tell you how many times I had to explain to people that he is not crazy or a traitor to the country, he does not want to ruin the country by getting rid of all education, and have no ways of gathering intelligence due to him being against the FBi, CIA, etc. Its so easy for people who do not spend alot of time n the internet researching him to misunderstand his positions, and its not always easy to really understand where he is coming from.
Yes, yes and yes
on the education thing and similar statements- "I will get rid of the IRS, rid of this rid of that."
Psychologically, people have to understand what will replace it.
It would be better, perhaps to say "I will replace the education bureaucrats in Washington with state and local and parental control, so we can return to being number 1 in the world where we ought to be, in stead of last..."
IRS- All the income taxes paid today just go to pay INTEREST on the debt. This has to stop. I will stop the IRS invasion of people privacy and their fear mongering upon innocent citizens. etc.
DO RON DO, DO RON DO, DO RON DO! !

Right ON!
I think he should go after these clowns as often as possible...I hope he is agressive and funny on the Tonight Show and I would like for him to poke fun at the hypocrisies, lies, distortions and outrageousness of his opponents...It is also LONG OVERDUE to attack the "fringe" and "mainstream" nonsense that is thrown his way...When candidates continue to support UnConstitutional Preemptive wars and out of control Federal Spending and Regulations that would make LBJ look like Chester A. Arthur, THEY are the extremist kooks...and he ought to SHOUT it from the MOUNTAIN TOPS!
Ron Paul'08
Yes! I'd like to see him
Yes!
I'd like to see him expose his rivals. It's disgusting to see Huckabee stealing his topics by lip service only (like the IRS and the sudden quotes from the constitution). No one but Ron Paul will ever challange any of that. Huckabee's outragous behavior doesn't threaten any other candidate but him.
Ron Paul has done "attack ads" against rivals before, when running for congress. I think he has deliberately saved this card and that we will see more of it after New Hampshire when MSM must start treating him as true top tier and other candidates will feel compelled to attack him more and more.
Yeah, I agre, but,
he's a nice man. He should have some bulldog spokespeople helping him out. There all out to get him, and obviously the media is doing their best to get him out of the picture. This is a job for the Home Campaign to get agressive at. Sometimes I get the feeling Ron Paul is in a heavyweight championship fight, and there is no manager in his corner.

Agree
Most of the campaigns have "loudspeakers" who have the job of counter-attacking the bad stuff.
RP needs to add this to his campaign staff.
