Tech/Tv Divide

This is not a young/old divide, it is a tech/TV divide: the troops are not all young, but I'll bet they get their news from the 'net.

You did great, and be sure to ask if you can be an alternate if they need one, later, or if you can go and be a volunteer at the convention, so you're on the floor.

Another strategy is to win over the delegates who were elected who favor Romney or the others, as any one of them is likely to shoot themselves in the foot before convention and alienate their delegates.

We must continue to lobby the delegates who have already been chosen, whether they are bound, or not. We may need them to vote to allow Ron Paul to speak at the convention before the vote.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

PASSION

its real -they saw it/heard it/felt it

they want some !!!!!!

the cause of Liberty is a just cause !!

you won

Every time you open up someones eyes you win. What you did is the hardest and most important thing to do. If you hadn't done this many of these people would not know what Ron Paul is all about.

Props to you

That takes a lot of courage to boldly state the truth when there is no one else there supporting you. I hope you find another Ron Paul supporter to come with you next time (is there a next time?) so two of you could be giving the same message.

Tool-ee!

That's a Tooele inside joke; it's actually pronounced Two-will-ah, if anyone wants to know.

Tooele's a pretty small, somewhat isolated place (other side of the mountain from Salt Lake and all the big population). Good to know that we have at least one beacon of liberty there.

Is there a single town in the USA without at least one Ron Paul supporter? It's getting to the point where there isn't.

I'll bet there's other supporters or supporters-in-embryo there in Tooele as well, you just have to find them. Put up a big sign, wear a Ron Paul shirt. Find the other liberty-lovers, and keep finding more, and next time you'll win.

I have

I have bunch of Ron Paul signs up and you have to see them to get into the neighborhood :)

Two thumbs up...

Two thumbs up for your courage, integrity, effort and passion. Don't ever give up, this is going to be something that takes a long time to win. It will go far beyond this election.

I am

already willing to devote the rest of my life to this cause.

You are...

You are preaching to the choir and we are singing the Ron Paul song!

In Utah, I'm an alternative delegate from my precinct!

As well as a delegate to my county convention. But you don't have to be a county/state delegate to become a National Delegate!

I'm running for National Delegate under the auspicious of voting for Romney first round, Paul second round. I suggest other Ron Paul supporters try to do the same if their state allows it. Second round of voting at the convention is where the magic is going to happen!

Salt Lake County

West Jordan to be precise. I was both encouraged and disappointed by my caucus. Encouraged to see the number of young people showing up (when in doubt, I supported the younger candidate). Disappointed by the level of support that Hatch had in my precinct (at least 2 to one). Even so, I feel optimistic, because the new generation is gaining traction and they are tired of the status quo.

I feel almost in a sense that we are like the Israelites wandering in the desert, waiting for the wicked generation to die off so we can inherit the promised land :P

That is funny

I actually felt the very same way tonight.

hope for some good news but looks like we

failed in utah to get the message out..homeschooling, freedom to follow your religion, states rights..
--im giving my self a vote down for this negativity :D--

Still hold up the banner of Ron Pauls peacefull Revolution. We will be back to run for president! Set the the base for that..

I gave you an upvote

to help you feel better. We're winning, it just won't happen all at once.

Utah is a tough nut to crack

Lots of Mormons for Mitt

When those Mormon's lose their rights and freedoms under a non-Ron Paul administration they will wonder what happened.

Not Mormons, Old People

From my observations at the caucus, it wasn't a mormon or not division, it was more of an old/young division (as we've seen everywhere else). The older generations are much more likely to cling to the familiar, are stuck in their ways, and are afraid of change (and often a lot of other stuff). They are pragmatic (at least in their own minds) rather than idealistic like the youth.

I'm in Davis County,

it was tough. All three of our delegate spots were taken by solid Romney/Hatch people. Met a couple of Ron Paul people, one of whom just missed a delegate spot. Very few young people there. Of the 160 we had in our precinct, only five or six (myself included) were under 25. The rest had to be at least forty years old. It was a little disheartening to see so few young people there, and so many of the older folks determined to keep the status quo.

Thank you

It's also about the message so although you didn't become a delegate at least you got the message out. You did GREAT!

They

Pulled us up there debate style for the crowd to ask us stuff
and we were debating Oren Hatch one of Utah's very crappy senators who has been in since 1976 and it felt sooooooo good
to stand right next to the guy supporting him and say that one of the main reasons I wanted state delegate was to get rid of him :)

I felt like Ron Paul tonight :)

Romney endorsed Hatch!

The the people in my precinct hated hatch. Most of them wanted Hatch out! It was awesome! because it tells me Mitt Romney's endorsement is not working for Hatch so therefore most these people don't like Romney either and this is Utah!

DIM

I just got back from my

I just got back from my caucus, I tried for State delegate but was beat by I think another Ron Paul supporter. The way he was talking was everything I would have said. I was then nominated county delegate out of 4 people instead.

This was Davis County.

This was Davis County.

Nice

we will change this country yet.

I believe you just did...

..wake some people up. If they watch MSM all the time, it isn't surprising that they'd be surprised of the facts you stated. What you did wasn't in vain. You should have a VERY good feeling about this.

Thank you.

great! keep on fighting for the R3Volution!

Peopel should think about leaving some of these at their caucus if its within the rules:
