I have a helpful suggestion on third party discussion.

Why not petition/write the Constitution Party leadership to postpone their nominating convention until September 2012?

According to wikipedia, the nominating convention is held in roughly one month. But it also states: "The 2012 Fall National Executive Committee Meeting will be held in St. Louis, Missouri in September 2012." This convention could be the new date for the nominating convention as well.

If the party postponed its convention until after the GOP Convention, Ron Paul would have a backup plan for November, and there would be no harm done to his GOP campaign in any way.

Since the Constitution Party would be extremely grateful to potentially have Dr. Paul on its ticket, I would think the benefits of that gamble would more than outweigh the inconvenience of a convention being postponed.

This solution could make everyone happy without forcing anything premature on the Republican campaign. It would guarantee that Ron Paul would be on the ticket in November.

Excellent idea

End the Goddamn electoral duality bump.

I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one: "O Lord make my enemies ridiculous." And God granted it.

Important topic

Banking, or betting "all in", on one person is the wrongest plan.

Everyone has to start thinking in terms of plan B.

That is not to say that, in my opinion, a Ron Paul third party candidacy wouldn't be preferable to more of the same monopoly of legal crime advertized on all the major television stations during an election fraud process that does not include Ron Paul, or someone like him, such as what did happen in 1992 when Ross Perot threw a monkey wrench into the election fraud process televised on all the major television stations.

In contrast, then, are 4 things in view:

Every Candidate is a criminal hiding behind a false front of legitimacy: Obama and Romney (names don't matter when they are all the same criminals hiding behind the false front of legitimacy, they could be called tweedle dumb and tweedle dee)

Tweedle Dumb versus Tweedle Dee

Ron Paul is forced by The People onto the stage of National Major Media as stark contrast to Legal Crime as a Republican Candidate having won the nomination:

Liberty versus Legal Crime

Ron Paul versus Barry Soetoro

Ron Paul does not win the Republican Fraud Nomination Crime Spree but with the help of all those people already in place he is easily able to get on the ballot in all 50 States as an Independent Candidate (or the Constitution Party, or the Libertarian Party drops their candidates in favor of Ron Paul, or some other deal made during the process of election fraud that is run by the criminals who took over our Republic).

Ron Paul versus Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dee

Liberty versus legalized fraud and extortion

No one, anywhere, signs onto Plan A, except for the few criminals who have a vested interest in the side show that is legalized crime at the National Level

Liberty wins, game over, the Legal Criminals have no power over their victims, anymore, since they are now ignored by enough people to render the Legal Criminals powerless, and the remaining Legal Criminals feed off each other since their target market has decided, all at once, to go with their own plan B.

Don't forget Americans Elect

as that would be another possible avenue to the Whitehouse.

51 days until their online caucus round 1.

We have to stay on top of this because it is Council on Foreign Relations backed and we cannot allow them to throw a 3rd party candidate that is not Ron Paul if he does not succeed in securing the GOP nomination.

November 6th 2012 I voted for Dr.Ron Paul
"We must remember, elections are short-term efforts. Revolutions are long-term projects." ~ Ron Paul

I do not consider AE a viable option.

I believe it could be termed the "anti-Third Party."

Interesting Direct Democracy Link

In my opinion the fact that there is a power in numbers is cause for interest.

Direct Democracy is one measure of that fact, in various forms.

Words, of course, have to be understood mutually, in order for my opinion to convey to anyone accurately.

I looked at that link and I linked it in other places. I almost went ahead and registered but the terms of use "contract" went somewhat above the norm in dictatorial flavor.

"The following terms and conditions (the “Terms of Use”) govern your access and use of the Internet Web site located at americanselect.org. By accessing americanselect.org or using the information, tools, and features located there (collectively, the “Service”), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use as they may be amended from time to time."

Or what?

Here's another Proposal for Plan B:

We contact the nominee of the Constitution Party. (I don't think the Libertarian Party would help us, so let's go with this here.) It will probably be someone nobody has ever heard of---Alan Keyes and Chuck Baldwin are apparently not running.

Ask the contender if he would give up the top spot for a V.P. spot, with Dr. Paul in the presidential position. The original V.P. nominee could be offered a major Cabinet position.

Does this sound doable? Anyone?

Give it a try, I did.

This is my second year running for President, as pathetic as that may sound, the reality is nearly pathological.

Perhaps it is pathology.

How would I know.

I tried contacting The Libertarian Party, and the Constitution Party, and there is no way that they, as an organization, listen, they speak.

They dictate.

It is pathology.

Try it out, see what happens. Let me know, please, what you find out.

My point is that we shouldn't have to choose.

The delegates, the campaign contributors, the activists have worked too hard to justify any bailing such as what Justin Raimondo suggested.

I think Ron Paul has it in mind...

...exactly what he will do in the results of whatever may happen & people are looking too hard into this without giving him credit for planning out whatever his move may be. He said he wasn't running 3rd party because he doesn't want to, but said he doesn't like absolutes. I think he has a plan for that fork in the road. But yes, I do think if supporters make doors open for him, he will see that he has that support if he decides to go 3rd party if G.O.P. cheats the whole way through. Very confusing! Maybe he is waiting for our moves!?

He hasn't ruled it out.

The thing is--I do think the fight has to go through to Tampa. I pondered this for awhile, as I've always favored a third party run. But too many people have sacrificed to bail in mid-stream. There has to be a different backup plan.
