In 10 WEEKS 50,000 new meetup members

70 days is 50,000 new members. Are you with me on this?

700 NEW MEETUP MEMBERS A DAY.

5000 people a week.

29 people an HOUR.

Since I started writing this post Ron Paul got a new meetup member. By this time next week Ron Paul will have 100,000 meetup members.

Obama has 7000 we have 100,000.

We pick up more meetup members in 70 minutes than Rudy has meetup members.

We have more meetup members in Austin, Texas than the entire republican party.

McCain has one person "waiting" in Arizona for a meetup group to start. McCain is from Arizona...he doesn't have a meetup group in Arizona...where he is from....the state where he has been a senator for the last 127 years.

Ron Paul has more people waiting for a meetup group to start in one county in Arizona that McCain has meetup members on the planet.

Ron Paul has more people in his Belgian meetup than Rudy has in the United States....wait a minute...where the hell is Belgium?

Somoa...Ron Paul has more people in Somoa than McCain has people.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

In the time I have taken to write this post...TWO NEW RON PAUL MEETUP MEMBERS.

I am going to start telling the time of day in new meetup member time.

I am going to sleep now and when I get up there will be 230 new Ron Paul meetup members....and I won't be dreaming.

MANYSTROM?! WE GONNA NEED A NEW SERVER AGIN! I TOLE YOU TO GET DA BIGGUN' LAST TIME!

Fred T., is trying to do the same and get 50K new members and 500K dollars. He currently has only 2500 members. I think it ends this Friday. Hoping he loses big time on Tuesday. His fredheads are all in heat over the fact he picked up a delegate in Wyoming this weekend. BFD.

Good post! The stats are awesome. But I just wanted to add that...

Just joining the meetup groups isn't enough. You have to actually 'meet up' and do something to get Ron Paul elected.

Take a minute to send a welcome message to the newest meetup members in your group. Encourage them to turn out to the very next meetup and get started. And be friendly and approach new members if they need a canvassing partner or look unsure of something. We've really got to pull people together.

When you make friends with a group of people, you are a lot more likely to go canvassing than on your own. So make the meetups fun, BUILD THE ORGANIZATION, and lets get Ron Paul elected!

We had 14 folks in the rain waving signs today! As my meetup group leader puts it, "this is trench warfare folks."

Have you ever pondered what the value of a meetup member is...

I've donated over $1,000 to the campaign directly. But, I've also spent close to $500 in supplies for signs, going to GOP events, having my car decaled, paying for my meetup, etc.....

We always talk about the donations to the campaign. $28 Million so far. But, isn't their almost an equal value of free grassroots campaign activity that you have to consider. What if the value is on average about $300 then multiply that by 100,000 and you get an additional $30,000,000.

That's not so bad for a "Dark Horse" candidate.

Our work is worth a lot of money. Other candidates would have spent tens of millions of dollars to get people to do what we willingly do for free.

That alone is huge.

We need to keep telling everyone we know and meet about Ron Paul.

We have a lot to do.

i think the meetup group is one of the most important things we can do. I just spent two hours today standing on a busy street corner with 5 other people waving signs. I or we could not have done it without each other but as a whole we gather courage. We need to stand up because when the smoke is clear are we going to wish we did more. I can not stress the importance please JOIN you're local meetup group plus we can see our numbers grow.
