Survey: Who Wants To Leave The United States If Ron Paul Is Not Our Next President?

Hello, everyone.

BEFORE I CONTINUE I WANT TO REMIND EVERYONE TO BE OPTIMISTIC, BECAUSE MIRACLES DO HAPPEN - I HAVE SEEN MIRACLES HAPPEN, and NO MATTER WHAT, OUR R[3]VOLUTION IS FOREVER NO MATTER WHERE WE ARE.

We are here in this world to make a POSITIVE difference and that will NEVER change, no matter where we are.

The Truth, Peace and Freedom Movement is Worldwide and NO-ONE WILL STOP IT.

Now...having said that and just looking at possible scenarios into the future, because I have to get this off my chest:

I am asking this because of my own circumstances and I will give you some background. Perhaps some or many of you are in a similar situation as I find myself in.

NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS IN THE FUTURE, I SEE THE DAILY PAUL AS A WONDERFUL PLACE FOR COMMUNAL SUPPORT FOR ALL OF US THAT I HOPE WE WILL HAVE FOR YEARS AND YEARS TO COME. Life-Long Friendships will come out of this community.

My personal concern:

I was not born in The United States but I have spent half my life here. I love the people of this country. I really like California. It's my country now in so many ways. Most of my friends live here and I do not want to leave them.

Starting all over again in another country will be such a disruption. I could do it but really don't want to.

I am at a point in my life where I am emotionally prepared to embark on a serious relationship with a special girl, and in the future, perhaps marry and maybe have a family (...although I am reluctant to consider bringing a child into this world until things get better).

Which brings me to this point:

Say I meet the girl of my dreams and I have the money to put a down payment on a house.

I COULD NOT DO IT HERE IN THE U.S. NOW. Not yet. Not with such an uncertain future ahead. Until I know what will happen after this election, I WOULD NOT INVEST IN PROPERTY. I will not get into ANY KIND OF LONG-TERM DEBT BECAUSE NOW I REALLY DON'T KNOW IF I WILL STAY HERE IF ANYONE EXCEPT RON PAUL IS OUR NEXT PRESIDENT: There is no other choice and we are all so blessed and lucky to have such a golden opportunity. Given how uncertain the future is, I would NOT go into business: ANY business. NOT HERE AND NOT NOW. I would feel as if that would equal building a castle on sand.

Never in my life have I been so confused and uncertain.

All I know is this:

If either Obama, Romney, Santorum, Gingrich (would never happen) or Nightmare-Scenario Brokered-Convention Surprise Jeb Bush are [s]-elected President, I AM LEAVING.

I know many people feel this way and have expressed such views and concerns in this forum.

I am asking because those of us who consider leaving an option should talk to one another just in case.

For this personal survey, I only ask a few simple questions:

1- Would you consider leaving if anyone but Ron Paul is our next President?

2- Of those who have contemplated to re-locate, how many consider Latin America an option? How many consider Europe an option? How many consider Canada an option? (I feel Europe and Canada are in the same NEW-WORLD-ORDER "ditch" as the U.S., unfortunately).

These are just questions and I really hope we can PUSH TOGETHER and make Dr. Ron Paul our next President.

I just know in my heart that any of the other "candidates" will simply finish-off this country. Whatever "crumbs" are left over, they will simply pick-them-off and hand them to their masters.

I KNOW THIS: Without Ron Paul? THE BILL OF RIGHTS AND THE CONSTITUTION = Gone. NAZI GERMANY 2.0 @ U.S.A.

DO NOT FEEL DEPRESSED READING THIS WORDS BECAUSE IN THE END, THE FREEDOM REVOLUTION WORLDWIDE WILL WIN.

I just feel that without a Ron Paul Presidency, our VICTORY - which will come - will take much longer.

I am NOT taking another 4 or 8 years of this. I've had enough.

I welcome your thoughts, and...NO. I AM NOT GIVING UP. I WILL NEVER GIVE UP.

...Just looking ahead in this chess-game of our future and our lives.

Hugs ♥

Many Confederates went to Brazil after the war.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confederados
Brazil was a main destination after the war, mainly because cotton was an interest to the Brazilian government and slavery still was in practice. Surprisingly a civil war was not needed to end slavery whereby saving the lives of thousands of people, unlike the United States. By the way for those who may be interested, the difference between a Confederate government and Federal government is that a confederate government is voluntary and a Federal government is by force.

I Will Continue

To attempt a takeover of the GOP, for at least the next four years, but I think it would be wise for everyone to have a bug-out plan.

Set real, measurable indicators for leaving. Gun confiscation, or gold confiscation, and it's time to hit the road. I'm not saying how, or where-to, and neither should you (in a public forum).

GOD BLESS YOU!

You wrote: "I will continue to attempt a takeover of the GOP"

My response: GOD BLESS YOU! YES, PLEASE! EVERYONE!

RON PAUL R[3]VOLUTION 2012! NO TIME TO WASTE.

We will not only save ourselves, but modesty aside:

WE WILL PREVENT A WORLD WAR - and all the horrors that would come out of that as a result.

That is how very, very, very SERIOUS this is.

I have already left in 06... don't plan on returning

unless RP or Rand, or a libertarian republican makes it to potus.
I had nooo hope for the country to turn around. Got excited in 08, and now that critical mass of the message has spread, I have only 10% hope.

Depends on how easy and simple you can live. If you do not plan on traveling distances regularly, Dominican Republic, is not a bad place if you are going to live off the land so to speak. Very Libertarian people for the most part. Don't get in trouble, Don't build a house, just preferably rent. FUEL is VERY expensive there. Bad part is you have to learn spanish.

My Shit hit the fan country, I think would be great is Trinidad and Tobago. Its like going back to the 60's and 70's on prices.
1 gallon of LOCALLY PRODUCED and refined diesel 1 dollar.
2l Cocacola, about a buck, to 1.50. Veggies are dirt cheap if you go to the farmers market, and street vendors. Just about everything that is found on US shelves can be had there.
Fun Loving people, with more than 30 holidays. If you like spicy ethnic foods, its great. They can QUICKLY become self independent, and very industrious society. Stay out of the Ghetto's and don't get involved with the drug gangs, and you should be ok... Tobago, part of Trinidad and Tobago, less industrious, more touristic, less crime, but still the same cheap fuel and goods. Most people do not realize that cheap Diesel, is the key to keeping the majority of stuff cheap. They speak English with a funny accent. Fun loving people. As a society, very immature. I like it.

Freedom may be worth searching for.

I have given up on my fellow Americans, (not DPers) as I will not shed one more calorie trying to awaken anyone else who is not a critical thinker and does not have the inherent feeling that something is wrong.

Not going there.

Thanks for your input.

Not going there. I have other options.

But as far as 2012 concerns?

I AM STAYING HERE AND GIVING MY HEART AND SOUL TO THE RON PAUL R[3]VOLUTION!

Very pessimistic, but I'm staying

I'm very Pessimistic of the future of U.S. An empire that is getting more rotten by the day will demand very big change. If we fail to get the positive peaceful change we are fighting for then it will get very ugly. Either way, I'm staying and I'm fighting. The establishment likes to create crisis as a catalyst for their global agenda, but one of their stunts is going to backfire and bring a lot of sheep in to the fold of liberty. I don't want to miss it even if my life hangs in the balance.

“I’m fully diversified. I’ve got some under the mattress, some under the floor boards, some in the backyard.”

how about secession instead

if Ron Paul was President of Texas i'd move there!

Lots of beautiful places

Lots of beautiful places around the world that would actually be far healthier than the US. People in Monaco live to be nearly 90, vs an average of 77 in the US, for example.

If you do decide to go abroad, spend some time in various locations first. Living outside the US won't be for everyone...different languages, cultures, traditions, people.

My personal favorite is Costa Rica...stable government, no military, commitment to education and energy independence, surf mecca, etc. If you love California, you'd love the Pacific coast...it's like the California coast back in the 1950's. Clean, pure, almost untouched.

I have property there. Each time I visit, I don't want to return to the US.

monaco lol

thats because they have the highest percentage of millionaires per sqf
;)

It's the Mediterranean

It's the Mediterranean diet...and I think the last crime reported there was 1989 ;).

Still cheaper to live than Hawaii, San Fran, and NYC. :)

Give the Euro another year or two, and I think we'll all find out how cheap things will get over there. Real Estate deals coming soon in Greece, Italy, and Spain.

I am from Costa Rica :)

I am from Costa Rica :)

But I have my life in California now...All my friends...people I love with all my heart. I do not want to leave them!!! :(

then what are we talking

"I am from Costa Rica :)"

then what are we talking about? LOL. You have a plane to catch!

There is more than one seat on a plane.

I want to help my American Friends!

I have grown to really love this people ("Americans").

I do not know what is wrong with these people. It's like they will put up with any and all abuse! WAKE UP, "Americans!"

How much are these people willing to put up with?

This is like a really bad movie. I am in disbelief.

Costa Rica

Has Uncle SAM finger in there. YOU get US CORP tax forms when you try to open bank accounts.

ALTHOUGH, I understand that they along with several other Latin and Central American countries are contemplating legalizing drugs.

This is crazy

You would leave the country if Ron Paul is not elected? That's crazy. Well-meaning craziness but craziness nonetheless. It's one of the things that gives us a bad name--that we're a cult of personality. The country will go on with or without RP as president (odds are great that it will be without but we keep trying as long as there's a possibility).

Step back and look at the big picture. Lovers of freedom and justice felt the same way when Taft lost in 1952, Goldwater in 1964, Reagan in 1976, Buchanan in 1988, etc. Yes, Ron Paul is different in some ways from each. He is unique. But he's not the Messiah. Why should we, the more knowledgeable and patriotic Americans, allow ourselves to be pushed out of the country by electoral mistakes and machinations? That's vesting way too much power into the hands of others.

My family has been here for hundreds of years. I'm not leaving. If we care about our country and our neighbors (and the rest of the world, considering our imperial influence), we'll stay put and fight the good fight--spiritual and political. Regardless of how this election cycle turns out. I don't see Ron Paul packing his bags and catching a plane for Switzerland if he loses. Let's emulate his mature, thoughtful approach to life.

Rome wasn't built in a day. It won't be unbuilt in a day, either.

Understand this:

Please understand this:

My research into WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON IN THIS WORLD goes WAY, WAY BACK before The Ron Paul Movement (I got involved in 2007). Way before 9-11.

I knew 9-11 was a set-up about 2 days after. It made no sense.

I had read so many books prior to that (David Icke) that I could see how "the puzzle fit together".

I knew then that we were in for a LONG BUMPY RIDE.

No: I am not a Ron Paul Cult-Follower. I would support ANYONE OF INTEGRITY as President (Dennis Kucinich comes to mind...Not Ron Paul, but...come on...a man of integrity).

It just so happens that I do not see how The United States could survive with anyone else currently on "the electoral table" besides Ron Paul.

I tell friends: Without Ron Paul? The Door to World War 3 (4...the "Cold" War counts as #3) will be wide open, and even if that doesn't happen, THE ECONOMY WILL NOT IMPROVE: Just the opposite.

So: Why so crazy to leave?

I would be living in a very expensive place (California) with a FRACTION of the income necessary to sustain a decent lifestyle.

I am a musician and I am bilingual as well, plus I am single, young, so why not go and explore the world?

That is NOT crazy.

CRAZY is staying in one place you are less and less happy with.

This hurts a lot. I love The United States. Most of my friends are here.

HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS AND HERE IS WHERE MY HEART IS.

But if I was in Germany in the 1930's and saw the build-up of The Nazis? I would have been one of the INTELLIGENT ONES who left.

It is that simple.

I pray for this country and the wonderful people of The United States.

I have cried many times thinking about what has been done to this wonderful country these past 10 years.

I am sad here.

I want to live somewhere where I am happy.

I PRAY RON PAUL IS OUR NEXT PRESIDENT AND COMMANDER IN CHIEF!

PEACE ON EARTH NOW!

RON PAUL PRESIDENT 2012 - RESTORE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA NOW!

P.S. I am having a really hard day (tears). Having read that Ron Paul got 1% of the vote in Puerto Rico?

BULLSHIT.

This is ALL RIGGED.

I am furious :(

Hello Wisdom

Yes, I feel your pain, and I am so sorry.

The good news is, you are soooooo aware and on the right track of truth. Give thanks for that. At least YOU see the beast coming whereas, most do not. You are in the mindset of preparations and strategic planning for the future. Most do not even care.

The story you share here is very parallel to my own. Same same and it is just nice to know you are out here. Be empowered to know, you are not alone and you are doing and thinking the right thing. Get out of nazi germany 2.0 BECAUSE WE ARE BEING SET UP TO LOSE THIS WAR TO CHINA/RUSSIA after a total totalitarian martial law take over. All as well planned of course.

My best advice to ANYONE is to ALWAYS follow your heart, not the easily fooled mind that falls prey to fear.

WE STAY AND WE FIGHT

Even if I was financially capable of leaving (I'm not), I'm not sure what my moral justification would be to abandondon ship and leave behind everyone I've ever known and loved to die in a collapsing US, while I'm farming Lima beans in south America to try and live a few years longer as a frightened escapee.

Either man up and help fight , or run and hide to try and buy a few more years of earthly comfort while your former countrymen are left alone to be crushed by the state you refused to resist.

I will neither try to convince, nor condemn, those who will choose differently than me. I just ask you to look in your hearts and find your own justification for your flight.

Truthbearer's picture

So ah...

...what part of SA are you farming those beans in?

+

Do you think South Americans are Bean Farmers?

Do you think South Americans are Bean Farmers?

Then learn Spanish, and go to South America. Skip all the Intellectuals, Artists and Professionals and head to the country side to look for the "bean farmers".

Learn how they farm, because in the not-so-far-away-future, YOU WILL BE FARMING BEANS FOR US (...Si tienes suerte).

Wisdom Strategies

Farming isn't an insult

I don't grow any beans (yet) but I do grow many other foods. I'm simply saying bean farming is not my choice occupation, and given my income level/education, a position of labor is probably all that would be available to me. I have the greatest respect for those involved in the process of food cultivation. Hope to join them to a greater degre, but out of choice, not economic compulsion.

Tu ne cede malis sed contra audentior ito

It is not "Run and Hide".

It is not "Run and Hide".

It is simply that every time I run into an idiot who laughs at Ron Paul and at us? I think to myself:

I WILL STAND UP TO MY RON PAUL FAMILY OF FRIENDS, but not for you.

No-One who opposes Ron Paul is welcome in my life, because anyone who opposes TRUTH AND JUSTICE has NOTHING in common with me.

Wisdom Strategies

I hear you

I want to leave the US, but I feel like I'd be running away from what I consider to be an obligation.

However, my father recently passed, and that was a big part of why I've stayed in the US for as long as I have (that and my financial situation wasn't going so well at the time). Still...like I say, obligations and whatnot. Damn conscience!

Also, your last paragraph sums up my thoughts perfectly. +1

A signature used to be here!

You have an obligation,

to yourself to find peace, liberty, and pursue happiness.

Freedom may be worth searching for.

I have given up on my fellow Americans, (not DPers) as I will not shed one more calorie trying to awaken anyone else who is not a critical thinker and does not have the inherent feeling that something is wrong.

True

But happiness means something different for everyone, and I choose to fight for the Constitution that used to preserve that right for all who wanted it.

If every time the state leans on us, a fraction runs away, it is easy to see that soon there will be very few of us left to lean on, and we will be crushed entirely.

I just can't understand the logic of fleeing the US because things are bad. It's like you're cooking in the kitchen and a fire starts on your stove, but instead of making the effort to put out the fire, you just lay on the ground and try to enjoy your last few minutes before you die. I realize turning a country around is much harder than putting out a kitchen fire, but perhaps it is also even more realistic than we believe.

I'm not criticizing your decision at all, as I said before, to each his own. I just don't believe our motto should be "when the going gets tough, move to Paraguay".

Tu ne cede malis sed contra audentior ito

I understand

where you coming from. For example, if the stock market is fraudulent and rigged, you have the right to not gamble. Say your state, is overtly oppressive against gun rights, you can move...

Me personally, I was tired of the police state, police spying on me, wasting taxpayer money. After I returned from Afghanistan, and the BS and more wasted taxpayer slave money, and soldiers lives. It was enough for me to not want to be in the States....

Unfortunately where I am, in the ABC islands, there is FBI/DEA presence here. At least, they are wasting taxpayer money here in paradise. A few weeks ago, 2 unarmed suspects were gunned down in the middle of a touristic center parking lot. I believe it was accidental/nervous discharge from the local pd. They were under the direction to grab these guys from US DEA and Colombian drug police.

Freedom may be worth searching for.

What makes me sad is "Americans" Who Don't Care.
