If the "ring of power" is the Presidency, we must ask ourselves: can even Ron Paul be trusted with it?

I do not doubt his great goodness or fine intentions. But I do doubt that "government" is ever a force for good in the world, or that it can be used to accomplish good ends.

Only the defensive use of force is moral -- but all government power must be sucked from the people by acts of coercion before it can -- even theoretically -- be applied to defensive purposes. And in reality, when was the last time our government ever actually defended our lives, liberty or property? When has it ever NOT been the greatest extant threat to all three?

If the Lord of the Rings is a parable, its moral is that Power corrupts, always. The only man fit to hold the Ring is the man who will never put it on his own finger.

We must act in the hope that Dr. Paul will never use the power of his office EXCEPT in the strict defense of our lives, liberty and property. If he takes office and proceeds to "enforce the laws" that have been passed by many generations of tyrants and corrupt legislatures, his Presidency will be nothing more than a minor footnote to America's long march into night.

I would say country-club prison would be a perfect place. Flat out abolished the whole field of the Federal Reserve, fired any of the police on its payroll & sent basically dozens of our politicians to jail with the Federal Reserve "home penitentary service" and detainment squad.

There they can be made to watch videos on Ron Paul, Gerald Celente and dozens more in private prison cells. A long with a bunch of television sets playing the "New World Order" song over & over, so these crooks never get such a crude idea again!

Most importantly, the whole department of Commerce is phased out and replaced with the Department of Treasury. Someone's got to stop the crooked World Bank, after all this.
