Who would Dr. Paul choose as a running mate?

Yeah... I know. I'm getting a little ahead of things here. But I'm curious, who would he select to be #2? Certainly not any of the clowns in the race right now. Maybe Goldwater Jr. Any thoughts?

Mark Sanford
the libertartian-Republican governor of South Carolina.
I wish we could get his endorsement. I think in his heart he wants to.
I forget the interview...
But the only time I've heard Ron comment at all on the subject, he said something to the effect of, "oh, I don't know, somebody like John Stossel."
While I would not be completely opposed to that, I would love to see:
1) Michael Badnarik, or
2) Lew Rockwell.
But that's just me.
Longshot: Lawrence Kudlow
If we want unity and so it means its alright to select from democrats.. well, I was thinking someone who would understand RP's monetary policy. Heck if the President wanna get rid of the Fed he gotta have a VP who can help him with it. VP who understands the fed? maybe had worked at the Fed?
What about Lawrence Kudlow. He is my guy.
Andrew Napolitano or Mark Sanford
If he was willing to leave his current, undoubtedly far more lucrative job as a TV talking head, Andrew Napolitano would be a great choice for V.P. or A.G. and provide great regional balance. It would also sure be a kick in the teeth to Rupert Murdoch & Roger Ailes.
RP has in the past mentioned S.C. governor Mark Sanford as a possible V.P.
John "Jimmy" Duncan (R-TN) might also be good pick.
Neither of these latter two would provide any regional balance to the ticket.
At risk of catching flak...
I think maybe Duncan Hunter. Although Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter have some differences...Duncan Hunter wants:
Secure Borders (and has record for getting it done)
Strong National Defense
These are two things that Ron Paul wants too. I think that he would help draw some heavily right wing conservatives into the vote.
Lew Rockwell has got to be
Lew Rockwell has got to be in the cabinet somewhere, right?
I thought about Goldwater Jr as VP as well.

Never happen. You wouldn't even want it. if you think RP was originally cast by the media as being a fringe candidate, Kucinich is an order of magnitude worse.
Here's what their (hypothetical) spin handbook says about this:
Ron Paul (currently): Longshot
Ron Paul (originally): Fringe
Kucinich: Radical fringe
Gravel: Lunatic fringe

I can't think of anyone else who would come close but these two....
Pat Buchannan
I'm for Pat Buchannan!
I know he's mentioned
I know he's mentioned Williams and Stossel as people he'd want somewhere in his cabinet but has not said anything about VP

Dr. Walter E. Williams? Powerful
Yes, that possibility get's all kinds of juices flowing. Then I also think of of Thomas Sowell fitting in somewhere. Great Minds...with loads of integrity....not political hacks......Both Dr. Williams and Dr. Sowell would certainly put to rest the few racist slams Paul has been misrepresented with. Including Dennis Kucinich, who Dr. Paul confers with often would also allow for some bi-partisan cohesiveness. Yes, Judge Napalitono...Justice Dept.....possibilities are endless....Some of the Ludwig Von Mises Institute giants too....Just Dr. Paul has access to some great policy wonks who could really give the Revolution some powerful momentum. John Stossel as Press Sec....but who asked me.....it's sure fun to imagine though.
Yes, that did get the juices
Yes, that did get the juices flowing, and it did the first time I read about Ron Paul. Walter Williams as running mate would just be the best news I could hear right after Ron Paul being nominated for the GOP.
Isn't there a clip somewhere that Dr. Paul mentions
some names for in his administration?
I know John Stossle (sp?) was mentioned in it...
Dennis kucinich
it's time to send a real message of change and do away with all partisan BS.

There is nothing wrong with having multiple political parties and views. Giving American's a choice is very important. It is the political system that is biased towards the independent candidate that presents a problem in the election process. This is true with government involvement in anything.
Kucinich is not even in the ball park in terms of the Freedom movement.
Barry Goldwater Jr. is a great option and he is currently assisting the campaign. I believe he would be Dr. Pauls number one choice.
Please do not be naive all
Please do not be naive all you Ron Paul supporters. Unless his internet support does somewhat translate into nomination or votes all discussions here are moot. You are all too much ahead of times, internet DID NOT replaced political machines - yet. And he is running against tremendous odds - media-financial complex scared of his ideas of reforming our financial system and upholding the constitution.
When you are at homebase, talk to your friends, your parents, grandparents and school mates about Ron Paul and spread the word - off the internet. Participate in primaries or convict your friends to participate and get actual votes for Ron. All this hot talk is nice, because it shows how young (and old like myself) people care about Republic, freedom and their own future, but does seem to be not producing the desired results. Please do not get frustrated and keep fighting, the “intellectual” revolution is much more preferable to actual one which would probably occur – if dollar would collapse.
God Bless you. Go Ron Paul!!!
No kiddin'
If he starts making real moves toward the nomination, the powers that will descend on him will make the conspiracy theories here seem like fairy tales.
What resources do you think Goldman Sachs will bring to the table. We're talking financiers who would stand to lose billions in monetary reform. That's the tip of the iceberg.
There would be, no doubt, various black ops, both private and governmental to stop him. It's mind-boggling.
This is one politician they are well aware they cannot buy off.
Should he survive that, these forces will do whatever is necessary to buy off sufficient votes in Congress to stop anything the President can't control directly.
He's the biggest threat to the status quo in decades.
The TRUTH hurts....
Your absolutely right! Anyone think the bankers behind the Federal Reserve would give up without a fight? HA! Or the NAU, CFR, UN, CIA, IRS, FBI etc?? They all would be in trouble if RP won!
How do I bury your
How do I bury your statement?

Goldwater Jr.
I think it's pretty obvious now that Goldwater jr is going around New Hampshire with President Paul that there is a pretty chance that he is going to be the VP
I think you're onto something, probably the right thing
As well as something I fully approve of. BGJ ftw. All this speculation...Paul's vp has already been chosen and is campaigning with him.

Nah, he is not eloquent
Nah, he is not eloquent enough. He speaks (unfortunately) like Dr. Paul. We need Judge Napolitano or Lou Dobbs.
Judge Roy Moore
is the best choice, IMHO.
