Maddow admits GOP and media clueless to actual delegate count!

Anyone see Maddow just admit no one knows what the true delegate count is? She was just talking about the caucus chaos and admitted it. Even going so far to say that she believes that the GOP doesn't even know what is going on! :)

Look at the video. Look at 9:08 into the report If that is not our great friend the temporary chair of the st. Charles caucus debacle than I do not know who that is. The guy is victory-background-fill for Santorum. You don't get to be there if you're some 'peasant-volunteer for the campaign that makes santorum his shoes shine'. It was obvious he was a bit biased, but this is a nice confirmation of it.

BTW is anyone!!! going to press charges or something against the local st. Charles GOP for having it's temporary chair of the caucus admit on radio that they have planned to interfere with the election process and apparently succeeding in doing so as can be derived from the available recorded material?

UPDATE: I should've checked the comments better, of course it was already discovered :( the second part is still relevant though ;)

Sounds to me like they're trying to discredit the caucus. I personally like the caucus. It means dedicated supporters and well organized people can win even if the media says they're not. Primaries are so easily distorted by the media.

The GOP/RNC and the DNC have been for some time trying to eliminate the Caucus', because they didn't want there to be any possibility that a non-establishment candidate could actually win the most delegates. This past year the GOP tried to eliminate some of the Caucus' and change others, however, due to Mitt Romney's undesirable nature for many Republicans, the GOP kept the Caucus' to try and game the system for Romney. No matter if Romney wins or looses this nomination, the GOP will be trying to make every State a winner-take-all binding Primary, to keep non-establishment candidates out of contention for the nomination.

MSNBC is doing their part by playing the false left-right paradigm hand and exposing the not so orderly Caucus' as really horrendous to create anti-caucus sentiment by the voters. Don't forget Obama won the DNC nomination this way; however, Maddow makes it sound that only the GOP have Caucus'. It is all a game to eliminate the possibility that an underdog has a chance to actually become president.

It's called we become the GOP. I know the concept must be hard for some on here to grasp but many states GOP's have already been taken over by liberty canidates. Then WE not they make the rules. I happen to live in Florida, a primary winner take all state. My lifes goal for the next 4 years is to change the primary to a caucus. We can do that easily by electing the right people to office.

This is not a one election battle but a crusade. Question is, do we have the stomach for it

It really does expose to the masses how screwed up the system is. And she basically comes right out and says it - when RP says he is winning - you may want to believe him. That was a very detailed explanation to many peoples questions -even on this site - who just don't get it. Hopefully others take note and due their own stories on this. Imagine how the dynamic changes when it is revealed that Santorum has ZERO chance. She showed it right there - he will not get a single delegate(he is not even on some ballots -VA - etc). Now the best part - our early states have all those Paul delegates out there in the open laughing - if someone does a real journalistic piece this becomes clear. Then places like the DailyPaul helped pull a ninja delegate move - and now RP supporters have masqueraded as Romney delegates to avoid being banished or arrested - so even if you vote for what you think is Romney - you didn't - all we have to do is get to round two. More stories like this will shine the light on RP really winning - making later states more likely to vote for him. The game is becoming clear - get nobody to 1144 - get to a second round of voting - beat the cheaters at their own game. The Repubs will flip out, pull some over the top BS move at the convention in a panic - the media will love it since they hate Repubs. The party will cheat RP out of the nomination - the media will massacre the party - not out of love of Ron - but out of hate of Republicans- Ron then uses the hate to start a third party. The repubs go down in shame and we all can finally get rid of that damn R next to our names.

I keep hearing bound delegates are released after the first ballot, RP said this last night. Is that truly the case? Florida rules clearly state their delegates aren't released until the 4th ballot and other states have various rules. Can that be changed?

The legal distinction between bound & unbound is dubious at best. Delegates are not bound in the Constitution. Rules are made & broken by man... with regularity. Generally the rules that bind the Republican, Democratic... & other political parties are made by themselves. Changes by themselves. They are corporations.

NOBODY really has a handle - oh - except that crafty duo of Doug and Jesse. That's why Doug always has that grin on his face - that's why they skipped FL - and focused on delegates that are not bound after round one.

I haven't watched this video but I have watched others posted on here from her show and have to say I don't really care for her.

I feel like she is in no way a fan of Ron Paul and isn't trying to "help" him in any way. She's just playing to her audience, basically saying "see how corrupt and evil the Republican party is and this is way you should be happy to be a democrat" without saying how the democrat party is just as corrupt, turning a blind eye.

That's exactly what she is doing.

A pledge is just a pledge - it cannot trump the rules of the party - even if the party is the most corrupt piece of shit party ever - which it is. Now - the trick here is that maybe they can get the delegate replaced IF the address in incorrect or any information is wrong. But the pledge to vote is not binding. So first round you vote for someone other than Romney - they go to your sign up form -find something wrong and get rid of you.

I spotted Eugene Dokes in the Rachel Maddow video. It is the clip where Santorum was giving his victory speach after winning the beauty contest. Dokes is on stage behind Santorum.

The Maddow Team pulled together a nice clip to find one with Eugene Dokes on stage with Santorum. I got mixed messages from Rachel Maddows presentation. Some I agreed with, and some I did not, but overall I found it favorable. Saving this for the Tuesday and the primary coverage meant that it had good exsposure.
