I couldn’t agree more. I have long designated Monsanto the most dangerous corporation on the planet, and clearly this is a growing sentiment.
According to Forbes:
“Monsanto is so despised by environmentalists that Google’s first suggested search term for the St. Louis company is ‘Monsanto evil.’
Readers… voted Monsanto the world’s most evil corporation in a January poll, giving the corporation a whopping 51 percent of the vote.”
What’s Wrong With Monsanto?
You may be wondering what Monsanto — the world’s largest seed company whose net income for the first quarter of fiscal year 2012 totaled $126 million (up from $9 million in 2011) — has done to have earned such ire.
The list is long, easily enough for a novel, but to sum it up, biotech giant Monsanto has created some of the most dangerous products on the planet, including Agent Orange, dioxin, recombinant bovine growth hormone (rBGH)… and genetically modified seeds.

I have aquaponics and food forest gardening to replace it, and replace if I will. It costs me LESS than feeding Monsanto Frankenfood to myself and my animals. You are so fond of Monsanto that you will ignore easy answers put right under your nose?
I have gone to great lengths to buy REAL heirloom seed. It takes some work, Monsanto has bought out many of the heirloom seed farms, so I do not buy from them. My suppliers cost less than Monsanto faux-heirloom, too. (seedstrust.com is a great source.)
Plants grown to save seed are kept isolated so there will be no Monsanto contamination and them suing me, like they are prone to do. (Monsanto contaminates a farm, and the farmer is liable. That is evil.)
I can't account for my clothes, but I do not buy new clothes, hardly ever. New socks and shoes, but most everything else I buy used. The day will come when I will be able to purchase "Monsanto free" bolts of cotton cloth, and on that day, i will make my clothes.
You seem to think that since Monsanto has successfully infiltrated every aspect of our life that the correct course of action is give in to them. That is just lame.
I eat ALMOST no MOnsanto. I still get stuck eating dinner out or buying snacks from time to time, but I do not cook anything Monsanto. i raise my own chickens and grow their food, I buy only organic beef and am raising my own beef to butcher this fall, and raise the food for it. I grow my own vegetables year round, and I have so much food I give some away.
Yes, Monsanto is evil. Yes, you can live without them. Yes, your life will be better without them.

While I have a 500 gal feeding tub I use for a koi pond that gets dumped in my compost heap, and a dozen pastured birds, a rooster, and a garden that I get some food out of all year, and like you, have spent a hell of allot of time and energy to collect and trade heirloom seeds, it's not enough. I have thought of getting a mini cow, but I do not have the land to raise the feed for it, my chickens were not interested in sprouted grains AT ALL. I am awed that YOU can live Monsanto free. I can not and so I'm not going to put HATE into what I eat. I've been fasting for 30 days now... nothing but organic grade B maple syrup and organic lemons.. three stores, two co-ops and I'm still buying Monsanto based products. If it doesn't say HEIRLOOM.. It's Monsanto, that is how HUGE Monsanto is. I eat Monsanto, I admit it. I have run away and now, I face the truth. I'm not going to feed on what I hate, that seems very dangerous to me. So instead, I accept Monsanto as part of my diet, my birds diet, pets diets, and find a way to put LOVE in it.
Congratulations on your success... you're way ahead of me and I admire and respect that.

Yes, GMO is in almost everything thanks to GMO corn. BPA is also in everything. That doesn't mean it isn't harmful and we shouldn't do everything to stop its use.
It is ridiculous to say we need Monsanto to feed the world. There are tons of efficient food production methods that are far more effective that don't rely on the failed promises of GMO's.

It's not just GMO corn. It's everything including organic, but heirloom. And eating 100% heirloom is beyond my budget.

DON'T USE PESTICIDES IN YOUR GARDEN
Here are two alternatives:
For the best fertiliser/pesticide ever get some worm castings mix about 3 oz in 5 gals de-chlorinated water with 2 tablespoons de-sulphured molasses. Aerate for 3 days with air pump like aquariums use. Use this tea as a plant drench or use watering can.
This is excellent for plants but bugs hate it, because your plant is no longer giving off a sick orra.
diatomaceous earth (food grade only) is another excellent pesticide which kills on contact, uses mechanical means not chemical.
Take 2 tablespoons of diatomaceous earth daily in water to flush toxic poisons out of the body. Removes all kinds of viruses and bad bacteria out of the gut, but leaves the good bacteria behind. Cleans the blood stream of plaque build up that causes heart disease. It is mostly Silica which is what everyone is lacking in the diet. Without silica you can not use calcium, or magnesium.

who says we will starve if Monsanto goes down, that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Monsanto and bunch are killing all the insects and birds. If we loose all the honey bees then you will see people starve, who the hell will pollinate your vegetarian vegetable for you. I guess we could do what they have done in China when they poisoned all the Bees in a certain area. They now spend days pollinating their apple blossoms by hand using a feather.
Why should one branch of farming be allowed to destroy other branches. The fish industry is suffering also, won't belong you may not find local minnows. Take a good look at the Mississippi delta, supper large dead zone because of pesticide run off.
Look at the GMO poison. The systemic seed coating that they use works because it becomes part of the plant, being a nicotine derivative. The plant reproduces it hundreds times stronger than you would ever spray in it on. Did you know that the corn being produced is registered with the EPA as a pesticide, hope you enjoy eating your doritos.
When the crop residue starts to break down the pesticide does not, has a half life around 9 MO., I believe. So the land is slowly becoming more and more toxic each year.
Even V.P. Dick Cheney has been saying we need to take a good look at what we are doing to the land.
If you think we need Monsanto YOU ARE JUST NUTS, organic farmers can now out produce conventional farms by 20 to 30 bushels per acre.

WHAT LEFT OF IT
I had no problem keeping 300 to 400 colonies, now I am down to less than 50 I won't know for sure until I get out and take inventory.
I really don't know what is in the future for me, my bees can be seen falling right out of the sky in the fall.
I have seen it first hand, no one is going to convince me that the crops aren't killing my bees. I had a flee market going at my location and at least a hundred other people witnessed it happening.
My bees are in excellent shape in spring but by fall half are dead, Bee hives should die when they have over 100 pounds of honey on them. This is just insane I had bees for over 40 years on and off never seen this before.

Organic beekeeping
been doing it for almost 10 years now, I am very fussy what goes into my hives. I do treat for mites with formic acid a chemical that is in the honey naturally at 4%. Formic acid is the only thing I put in any of my hives, I use no antibiotics ever. I disagree that migratory beekeepers stress the bees too much. I had been going to Texas in winter and that is when my bees get in the best condition no GMOs in site. This year I stayed home because of the mild winter.
I have actually linked my bees dying from the corn. I used to take all colonies to a holding yard, held up to 300 there at 1 time. A neighbour came a told me my bees where over in his corn bins rolling in the corn. With no other pollen source at that time, October, they where getting a lot of it. That was the first year I noticed a problem my best colonies, had died out within 3 weeks. They were full of honey and syrup I had fed them, but had a few bees left with the Queen. Bees had just disappeared. That happened in 2004 0r 05 I believe. It is not the GMO's that are killing the bees, it is the pesticide seed coating.
Also they said don't feed syrup leave honey, well this year I tried that lost more than ever. It is a shame that the environment is so toxic to them, but there is no place to get away from it.

The UN Agenda 21 is what changed my mind. I'm not saying Monsanto hasn't made mistakes and wrongs to farmers and consumers, but I am convinced that Monsanto feeds the world, the vast majority are fed through Monsanto. Have you tried to stop eating Monsanto based foods?
I think the "elite" HATE Monsanto because Monsanto keeps billions of people alive affordably. Billions of people who they see are pollution their planet. THEIR planet.
No one is doing documentaries on the waste of wars, the environmental destruction... Occupy protests Monsanto, not the wars.
IF Monsanto goes down billions of people will starve to death.

This is very sad
I'm so sick of the people in power. They are ruining for everybody out of greed. The depeleted uranium munitions that have spread radiation all over the place, in their food and water, and now the forced introduction of GMO's onto their food supply. They really are trying to kill us all. Food is now a deadly taxic substance slowly killing us. Very sad!

I believe Monsanto is working with all the others (Rothchilds, Rockefellers, etc..)that want to rule the world.
