Gas 70 Cent Gallon ~ If Priced in Gold Since 2002

The Rising Price Of the Falling Dollar Forbes News Magazine, March 2012.

If the dollar since 2002 had been as good as gold:

  • Chinese yuan, the price of oil today would be $82 and a gallon of regular gas would cost about $3.10;
  • Euro, the price of oil today would be $77 and regular gas would cost about $2.90;
  • Japanese yen, the price of oil today would be $71 and regular gas would cost about $2.75;
  • Swiss Franc, the price of oil today would be $63 and regular gas would cost about $2.50.
  • Good as gold? 70 ¢ ??? Much less if silver.
    • $1655 per Troy ounce option quote in 2012
    • $280 per Troy ounce option quote in 2002

We are witnessing the falling dollar. Falling faster than the aforementioned paper-money. Falling much harder than the price of gold.

The quality & value of gas has been fairly consistent & level. Price fluctuations are reveling falling confidence in the Dollar. Backed by nothing but confidence, when confidence wanes... "Houston, we have a problem."
