County conventions choose who

County conventions choose who the delegates will be aka even though they will be bound for the 1st vote for another candidate, if the delegates are Ron Paul people then they can abstain from voting on the 1st ballot and then vote for Ron Paul on the next, but it's up to us to go to our county conventions and select them.
------------------

FIND OUT WHEN AND WHERE YOUR COUNTY CONVENTION IS BEING HELD SO YOU CAN VOTE ON WHO THE DELEGATES WILL BE (don't forget this step just because it's a primary, we need to vote on who the delegates are just like a caucus so plan to attend your county convention):

http://www.texasgop.org/county-party-web-sites

FYI: If only 2 or 3 delegates/alternates from your county will go to the state convention, make sure EVERYONE agrees to vote for only those 2 or 3 Ron Paul people. We don't want to split the vote. It may be better for one Ron Paul delegate to get ten votes than for 10 Ron Paul delegates to get 1. Make sure to meet up with other Ron Paul supporters when you get to your county convention to go over a plan.

I am also in Tarrant County

jen hall is greatness.

i do not yet know when our convention will be held, but i've not checked email and usually don't often because i'm always scared to death of how many i get! it takes an hour to go through them usually.

we are working hard to acquire votes in our precinct. i've already located ten supporters within our neighborhood without even going door to door.

Cinco

Keep up the great work.

County

I see alot of mentions of precint conventions. I've read over the TX Republican party websites linked on other posts and almos all of the precinct conventions are actually going to be county conventions due to the recent redistricting and the late ballot process.

You need to do extra research to make sure you get the right date and place.

I lived in Texas for 16 years. My recommendation

to you is that you make sure that the information you have regarding your precinct is UP TO DATE. Find out at the county level where you should be going. Don't necessarily trust the local yo-cos.

~Your perception becomes your reality~

tarrant county chair

is RP all the way. we have all but taken over and they know it.

BUMP

for Texas!

Thanks... but I need help...

... I'm new to this. I live in Collin County but, I guess, my precinct is somewhere north of Legacy Drive and in between Coit and Independence. What do I do? Do I email someone in the precinct (who?) to find out if they are holding a precinct convention? What if they had already held it? Oh my!

Plano TX

Collin County will NOT have precinct convintions!

Please contact me at dax313xab@gmail.com

The convention will be at CCCC on April 21st
see the calender of events hear
http://www.collincountygop.com/calendar/

The " Dallas for Ron Paul Campaign HQ " held a delegate training meeting last Tuesday...and we will be having a mock convention soon. I can fill you in on the details.

The most important things right now are.

1) Read the Republican Party Platform (you will be asked by the nominations committee if you've read it and what you agree/disagree with.)

2) Contact the Nominations Committee PRIOR to the convention

They will require you to fill out a "resume" of why you should be a delegate for the republican party.

It is also advised that you contact your precinct chair and volunteer to help them out / let them know who you are. If your Precinct doesn't have a chair it is very easy to become the temporary chair... by doing so you are almost a shoe in for a delegate slot!

we have a pretty good size group in Collin County and for several of them " this isn't their first rodeo " we will be setting up a meetup/event so we can all be on the same page and know who everybody is that is on our side.

Once again if you are in collin county please contact me and i will help you get in contact with our group. We are pretty organized and hope to have a strong influence at the convention.

Precinct 167

I live off of Independence just north of Eldorado
I just volunteered to be chairman of my precinct.
We need to get together and locate more Paul
supporters in the area.

Email..

... me at accountingsleuth@gmail.com

I sent an email to the county chair and requested details re. precinct conventions.

Plano TX

you can...

e-mail your county chair or call their office. Give them your precinct number and they will give you any information they have for your precinct.

Thank you!

Much appreciated
