Ron Paul more electable than Mitt

Looked but didn't find it posted so sorry if it's a double

"LAKE JACKSON, Texas, Mar 22, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul polls better against President Barack Obama in a head-to-head matchup than establishment-choice moderate Mitt Romney, according to a recent survey conducted by Public Policy Polling.

Reinforcing the electability case for Paul is that he ties Obama among independent voters, while Romney loses the largest voting segment by 6 percent, Santorum by 8 percent, and Gingrich by 15 percent -- a cause for concern whether Paul’s three rivals would even be competitive come November.'

Yep.. and he can probably

Yep.. and he can probably overtake him when the national campaign gets rolling. Obama's style of campaigning, all about outflashing his opponents doesn't really work on Paul, because there's simply no flash to outflash.
And if Paul runs against Obama he'll eventually steal the youth/college anti-war vote from him. And that used to be Obama's only real base. With Paul against him, Obama is gonna have to appeal to the establishment for support.. which makes him look even worse to his hardline '08 supporters.

The polls don't even consider that yet. Similarly Romney can only go down in the future, and only has so far. They GOP seems to be aware of that, but underestimated how weak a candidate he is when you put him out on the trail. Santorum probably surprised them and I see him as the last-ditch anti-Paul guy most of all.

And there is still a lot of time!

Santorum just wet his britches in his dumb down attack on Mitt. The "etch a sketch" remark just tatooed Romney for life. The GOP fraud against Ron Paul has got the attention of many. The popularity of Paul is becoming evident by his rally turnouts. Obama's main threat is Paul, therefore, the White House will help try to bury Paul's chances of becoming the nominee. Paul Ryan just introduced a "do nothing" budget, and Dr. Paul only needed about twenty seconds to completely discredit it, really discredit it. "Balance the budget in 30 years?,with no spending cuts, come on, that's no plan", he remarks. And all the "true conservatives" say, hmmmmmm. Ron Paul is looking more like a leader all the time!

More evidence

That Paul should run as an Independent. You get less than ten percent in a very conservative Southern state but poll better than the frontrummer and the President among Independent voters. This is an independent candidacy.
