Stop the complaining and take the damn time to learn roberts rules and your GOP bylaws!

I am sorry if this offends anyone for this is not my intent but the truth sometimes hurts but the truth must be said.

I hate writing these posts because too many act on emotion rather than fact, watch for the down votes right out of the gate simply because I am giving tough medicine that needs to be given.

I keep hearing Ron Paul delegates are being railroaded, really? In some cases there are attempts to railroad, in other cases this just ins't true. Some cases there is a direct attempt to break the rules and this I do not approve of and should be challanged by everyone. In other cases no rules are being broken, we just don't have the numbers or many are just not educated on what they can and can't do.

Before you complain ask yourself, what do the bylaws in my district/county state as to how delegates are selected or elected. If you don't know what your bylaws state then you went to a meeting unprepared and this is no one elses fault but your own.

Have you taken the time to learn roberts rules of order? If not then once again you went to a meeting unprepared and is no one elses fault but your own.

# 1 : What some the supporters of other candidates in the GOP is doing is exactly what our supporters are doing at some conventions, actually showing up and taking the majority of delegates under the GOP bylaws pertaining to district and/or county.

# 2 : This is how the delegate and caucus process works, it's called politics in the manner that you fight for your candidate.

# 3 : Just because you cry foul doesn't mean it was a foul at all simply because things didn't go the way you wanted them to go. If you haven't taken the time to learn roberts rules or your bylaws then you really aren't dedicated enough to have a chance to win the battle you claim to be fighting.

# 4 : When we cry foul and no foul was commited, we look foolish, if you don't know for sure you were cheated a better way would be to pose your statement as a question; such as, Were Ron Paul delegates cheated at our convention? This will allow for people that can answer your question help you better understand what really happened.

# 5 : Let's call the police! This statement is stated too many times without merit. The police have no jurisdiction or probable cause to do anything based on how a meeting is conducted unless a LAW has been violated. The republican party is private thus election fraud does not apply, you do have civil recourse if the GOP violated their bylaws but the police have no authority to help you force them to follow the bylaws. This is not a public election, this is private party business to determine what person will be placed on the GOP ballot for President, nothing more.

# 6 : The most important thing is to make sure that every supporter that can become a delegate, registers to be a delegate and actually shows up at every meeting. If we don't have the numbers we will have very little success at these caucus events.

I will add more to this post later but I have some work that needs to be done right now, I encourage any comments or questions pertaining to rule violations and what to do to counter such violations.

I just love how all of my posts as of lately get removed from the TOP RECENT TOPICS column?

Why does this happen constantly?

Good post

NO MORE LIES. Ron Paul 2012.

I second that!

It's real simple...

Those who refuse to understand the rules of politics will forever be ruled by those who do understand them.

Neverquit you are ON IT!

bylaws

I have been studying rules of order. How do I go about getting Bylaws. Are the bylaws set for the county or for the state.

They should be posted on your

They should be posted on your district/county GOP website, they are also available on request by any officer in your local party.

Thanks

and please keep posting.
Brutal honesty leads to good decisions.

What good did it do them in Kentucky?

It seems they DID use the rules.

But got beat anyway.

I think that Kentucky thing needs to be closely examined to determine if Robert's Rules were followed.

If so then we were simply beat.

GOT TO HAVE A MAJORITY ...

Any group having a majority can pass any rules, and elect any delegate. To win, we MUST HAVE A MAJORITY.

To win if we have majority, we still must know Robert's Rules of Order and use them properly, including knowing them well enough to not get derailed by a more skilled opponent on the floor.

1 - HAVE A MAJORITY
2 - KNOW ROBERT'S RULES.

They didn't know the rules,

They didn't know the rules, that is my point, one woman even stated she didn't register to be a delegate but now decided to be added, WTF!

If they would have known the rules they would have known that it takes a 2/3 majority to end debate and call the question to which they didn't have a 2/3 majority it was 72 aye and 29 nay therefor ending debate and calling the question was incorrect, if they would have taken the time to learn roberts rules as I stated they would have been able to call a point of order and not end debate, although if we had less than 1/2 we had very little control on what would have happened at this meeting anyway.

What do the bylaws state as to how delegates are elected or selected in thois district/county? Until that question is answered crying foul is unwarranted.

We really only had 29 in lexington that support Ron Paul? That is pathetic that there weren't more supporters to support Ron at this very important meeting.

I had high hopes for Kentucky - The land of Rand.

Don't live there but I closely followed (and contributed to) Rand's campaign.

I really figured that Ron would do well in Kentucky.

How many battles did we loose during the first REVOLUTION.

Dude, we won the war.

An idea who's time has come CAN NOT be stopped, PERIOD.

Kentuckians, we need need your help in Indiana. Fall back and help us with what you know and what you have learned.

thats the way how to handle this..

..

Even if they didn't pre-pick the delegates

it looked like they didn't have the numbers. Not enough people showed up.
