LOL Rick Santorum campaign team edits Ron Paul's Missouri WIN out of wikipedia

I don't have time to fix this, but take a look at the wikipedia page for the 2012 Republican Presidential Primaries.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republican_Party_presidential_p...

Looking at the maps, not only did some Santorum sympathizer delete the partial results from the Missouri caucus from the "Results by County" map, which had been up for several days based on unofficial reports.

They had the GALL to edit the "State Wins" map at the top to show Santorum as the unmitigated winner in Missouri based on the primary, which had no relation to delegate selection whatsoever. This in spite of the fact that Missouri had been shown for Santorum in stripes for MONTHS based on the fact that he had not actually won anything of import in the state.

The original, although still incomplete, results from the caucus are still available here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missouri_Republican_primary,_2012

Seems like the Santorum campaign is desperately trying to keep a lid on the Ron Paul win in Missouri, and it's only a matter of time until the world knows...

Could someone please fix this and make sure it stays fixed?

THANKS for posting about this!

I have noticed some glaring inaccuracies on Wiki lately, and we need to make sure someone with Wiki edit access continuously monitors these pages...I used to have a Wiki account but they penalized me over something ridiculous I don't even want to get into, but my point is I doubt I have access any more and I'm sure one of you is already a Wiki contributor, knowing how smart all of us RP supporters are. ;)

Dishonor

Santorum is not an honorable person...Period!..And he makes allot of funny faces as a result of the vast amount of dishonesty that can not be contained, and must find an escape so he does not explode.Head Bobbing, and Eye Rolling are the normal escape outlets.

Change the election map!

LOL! Look at the election map where it states that paul did not win anything. Look closely and find the 1 spot that Paul did win ;)

Somebody please change that!

I think the only way to make sure it "stays" fixed is to

continuously monitor the page and keep undoing the improper edits.

Perhaps there is also a way to ban those users or IP addresses if the repeat edits are egregious enough, but that would need to be done before they do it to you.

Possibly...but

there are certain editors/admins on Wikipedia...who go by a name I won't bother saying here-- who seem to revert any articles that are favorable toward Dr. Paul, Mises, Rand, et cetera. These same editors also have a habit of reverting any articles that are critical of Israel, Zionism, or Neoconservatism. Tracing the IP addresses of several of these people reveals that they also make sockpuppet accounts-- sometimes numbering in the hundreds. (Wikipedia is serious business to some people...)

There used to be an entire wiki dedicated to this 'clique' and their little edit wars with an agenda, as well as detailing their real life info...but of course it was taken down (several times).

A signature used to be here!

Given that they are showing winners by beauty contests results

Can someone please change the Virgin Islands results to show a Ron Paul victory. We did win that beauty contest after all.

Virgin Islands

The Virgin Islands are correctly shown as a win for us on both maps. It is, correctly, not counted as a "state" won. They even updated Hawaii to show that we won Maui.

I imagine the way to edit the wikipedia article is simply to upload a new image in place of the incorrect ones. So a little creative work with upload/download and Paint software should do the trick.

Someone had changed the

Someone had changed the result totals on Wiki per the NYT, but I changed them back to the results listed on the VI GOP page as the official results which put Paul in the top winning slow. Win!
