This is probably the most incredible article I've come across yet

Hello,

I have found some difficulty in explaining to some people why we must have sound, honest money. But this article has been what I think is the most incredible articulation as to why that I have read yet.

I would like to encourage everyone to read this.

I plan on printing this out and handing it out for people to read when and where I am able to do so.

I hope people here on the DP take the time to read this amazing explanation on the...

I am very happy to see that a number of my fellow DP'ers

thought the same as me regarding this article.

I thank you for taking the time to read this important treatise on fiat money and for those that will be spreading it around even further.

Thank you!

must read

Thanks for posting. That my be one of the best concise analysis of commodity money vs fiat currency I've read.

Yes, it is excellent...

But probably over the heads of a majority of Americans today. Last year, when I took a class on writing for the internet, it was sadly stated that writers today must assume their adult audience has about the equivalent of a sixth-grade education. Thus, writers should write at or around a sixth-grade level.
While that may seem like an exaggeration, there is probably an element of truth in it.

I loved the article you posted; it made some interesting points and thoroughly conveyed the philosophical/moral issues underlying fiat currency, but I think a lot of people would be left scratching their head. In his latest book, Liberty Defined, I believe Ron Paul does an excellent job explaining fiat money, just not in such academic language. Thanks for the post though - I did enjoy it!

In regards to the statement

In regards to the statement about the average adult audience reading at a 6th grade level all you have to do is look at the popularity of "children's" books in the adult world now. The general population does not go towards challenging, quality books like thy used to.

Thought required!

I had to read slowly and have a dictionary on a separate tab. I was able, I hope, to get a lot out of it but would hesitate to forward it to most people I know. Liberty Defined is a good place to go for understanding, as you said.

Bookmarked!

Some good quotes to place in my quotes file too.

Thankyou, I have a little

Thankyou, I have a little more knowledge now.
