Ron Paul Can Save America with a 3rd Party Run!

Ron Paul Can Save America with a 3rd Party Run!

Hello Paulians!

Are you feeling down? Is the MSM starting to convince you that Ron Paul can't win? Well, get up and do something about it! Ron Paul is doing his part and now it's time for us to do ours! (Okay, i'll stop yelling at you) But seriously, I heard this video and I was thinking, Alright... this is pretty genius! "If Ron Paul fights this delegate fight and loses, it's NOT over!"- Josh Tolley

Listen to this video and consider the strategy, if Ron Paul loses the GOP nomination, he has set himself up for a 3rd party VICTORY. With all of the committed delegates that he has and the support he has built within the GOP republican party, Ron Paul will be in the best position to run 3rd party than any other candidate has been in all of history. The GOP is not happy with the GOP options. The GOP is divided, regardless of what they tell you. The Democrats are divided too, but like Tolley says, "They won't swallow the pill and vote for the GOP Nominee." Frankly, I don't blame them.

If Ron Paul decides to run 3rd party he will be able to use the power of his delegates, the independents, and the seceding GOP to give the remainders an ultimatum, You can either vote for Ron Paul and get behind him, or Obama is going to have four more years.

Listening to Jesse Benton and Doug Wead does not indicate to me that the Ron Paul campaign is aware of this. So this is what we must do:

It is our job to tell Ron Paul that he has the GOP by the b*lls! It is our job to tell his campaign that we are going to remain loyal to him. It is our job to tell Ron Paul not to worry about his son's future political career. It is our job to tell Ron Paul that we can read between the lines and we are ready to go head to head with the MSM and the upset establishment GOP. We can do this. We must do this. Please help us tell Ron Paul, the GOP, the MSM, and the world that we will not take this lying down. We have the power!

Please sign our petition to tell Ron Paul our discoveries and show him our support for his 3rd party run. We believe that 100,000 signatures will seal the deal. Let's do it! http://www.rp2012.org/

never happen

im sorry but it wont happen because then that will cause problems for rands carer, they want romney to get it any way.

I absolutely agree

Fight like a wildcat for the nomination and if we fail then run third party. That is called payback for all the hook and crook from the Republican GOP and MSM. Personally I truly believe he can win on a third party ticket. I think this is just the ticket to wake up America. Even the dumb of the dumb will realize that Romney is toast if RP runs third party. Right now they really do not know for sure because they really do not think that the RP supporters will abandon Romney and let Obama get another four, they think we are running a bluff, but if RP runs third party then they will know for sure that we are not bluffing. They will no longer pay any attention to the Republican GOP.
Yes this will work.

Go for the nomination

and prepare for a 3rd party run.

We are not only letting the door open for a 3rd party run...
if there is a contested gop-convention and we have more delegates than they expect, a possible 3rd party run can oly increase our power.

So please sign!

Yet you vote this post down. Why?

November 6th 2012 I voted for Dr.Ron Paul

A New Republican Party

That is what this campaign is all about. GOP takeover. It starts at the local level and moves up. The next generation gets it, as we see at the college campus rally's. It is happening fast, yet not fast enough for us as we want it this year. Hopefully it happens this year but look at the big picture and the long haul for our children and grandchildren's sake. In 2016 to 2020 there will be a majority that think this way and the USA will be revived no matter what happens between now and then.

Yes we should hold onto

our gains in taking over the GOP. However that doesn't mean Dr Paul couldn't still run while we hold onto those gains. Is the RNC going to be in the booth when you cast your ballot? We have Liberty candidates in the race as republicans who need us to stay and support them and force the neo-cons out. None of which prevents us from backing a separate run by Dr. Paul if the GOP manages to force Romney through. Which by the looks of thenew wave of propaganda being put out doesn't look like they're too sure they can pull off.

Anyone here that thinks there is going to be a 2016 election

if we do not get Ron Paul into office is foolish. All you have to look at is the GDP to debt ratio.I wonder if we will make it to November for that matter. What part of "loss of confidence" and "dollar crisis" do any of you that thumb down this post or comment negatively not understand when Ron talks in these terms?

You better get your s h i t together and not put all your eggs in one basket and have a backup plan because if you don't you can damned well count on most of your grandchildren not surviving the ensuing chaos that will result when the dollar tanks and there is no fuel or food in the stores in 3 days. Keep cutting your own throats by refusing to to entertain the possibility that Ron may not get the nomination in FL and we need a solid backup plan.

It must be...

It must be a really slow night when the "newsletters" and the "third party" crap are recycled at the same time. Is it possible that the two are connected ? Hint, hint? Is anybody fooled by this crap? Is there anybody left that will fall for this troll baiting anymore? Call it a night and give up.

It really makes me wonder how easily you can influence people

using terms like 'crap' 'fool' or 'fools' or 'troll' and general ad hominem type arguments. I expected a little bit more from those on the Daily Paul. There is no doubt there is strong support for the petition. 250+ signed and most have signed in the last couple days. A Pastor, veteran, and delegates have all commented on the reasons they support this petition. I've only sent an email out to our member list to promote it other than here at DP and Ron Paul forums. I had the highest click-thru rate out of any of the previous emails I've sent.

Again, I know the 3rd party idea was bad before the early primaries and Super Tuesday, but I hope people will take a little bit of time to reflect about why it's different now, that we are encouraging Ron Paul to run for two party nominations, and why this can be the ultimate leverage against the GOP. Thanks to all those that have signed and continued to give us encouragement on this project.

Not before Tampa

affiliating with a separate party would end the GOP run. Seems that rule should be enforced against mitten's and his shadow party groups, but we can be sure it would be enforced against Dr. Paul if he accepted another party's nomination. After Tampa though its a different ball game.

Give it a rest...

Give it a rest, it is up to RP and no one else. He can make his own choices without you or me and without being badgered to death on this "novel" idea. Your point is noted so move on to something new.

No my friend

it is just not RP. Most of us have worked our rear ends off to pull this off. Most of us mean to fight until the bitter end and we fully expect Dr. Paul to do the same. If that means running third party then he needs to do it. Like most I am going for the nomination but if that fails then we do not need to quit and waste all of the delegates we have accumulated. We need to put them to good use and there is not better way than to use them on a third party run. This country is depending on us and Ron Paul.

He is the only...

He is the only one that makes that decision. I am sure he is far more qualified and politically astute than us armchair politicians. He was playing this game long before a lot of us were born. He has my complete confidence that he will make the right and best decision and I will support that decision when it happens. Put your energy to work on the campaign and leave the strategy decisions to RP.

Thanks for expressing my thoughts!

the electoral college

the electoral college selection process makes it impossible for any 3rd party candidate to win.

Never forget:

To disagree, one doesn't have to be disagreeable.

- Barry Goldwater

this time around. No third party candidate has ever been in such a good position as RP would be in.

Please stop simply reposting these threads over and over.

Until Ron himself announces he is going it out of the GOP, there should be zero talk of it, certainly, not here on DP. It does us no good and inflicts considerable harm.

No it doesn't do much harm. I used to think the same thing

before Super Tuesday and especially before Iowa.. but right now the situation is entirely different. We've won only one beauty contest in one of the territories and the polling hasn't improved that much and the only thing the media talks about is about Ron Paul dropping out. I think the media is now playing down the third party talk because it is actually a dangerous strategy for the establishment.

The delegate fight won't be effected much with 3rd party talk. The delegate process is more about organization and keeping the GOP in check from its corruption.

I think it's critical to encourage Ron. If he sees the support he'll be more likely to act. Remember he didn't even want to run in 2007 and 2008 and had to be convinced to go for it. I think this is the same thing.

The other thing is that other than those that are working hard for delegates who I'm rooting for as much as possible, the reality is that the energy level is subdued. I can see energy in this effort because we have over 250 signatures in a couple days and people are continually signing up even though we really haven't marketed it much.

Once again I agree

They will fight us no harder if they think RP will run third party. As a matter of fact they will probably fight less against some one trying to become a delegate. You know why fight them, RP will just run third party if he looses the nomination. All RP supporters are dug in like GA ticks and they are not going any where. If RP were to announce that he is going to run third party after he failed to get the nomination then his support will only grow. He will certainly not loose one ounce of support by doing that. We have their heads in a vice so we need to give it a few more cranks.

To "save the country" we need to change hearts and minds

Getting one man elected probably won't do it. Dr. Paul says people get the government they demand.

Why a party

Run independent or as a write-in. When Paul wins, won't that take the wind out of the GOP's sail.

Ballot access.

Have you not been paying attention?

Run as the Independent he is.

Free from party platforms.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

your history is short

Winners: G. Washington (no party affiliation)
Jackson (switched from Union to Ind)

Losers: Perot (twice)
T. Roosevelt (6 states, 88 EV, 27% popular)

Please explain which states RP will carry and how he will get enough EV to win? Do you really, honestly think he can win in the house?

Pursuant to the Twelfth Amendment, the House of Representatives is required to go into session immediately to vote for President if no candidate for President receives a majority of the electoral votes (since 1964, 270 of the 538 electoral votes).

In this event, the House of Representatives is limited to choosing from among the three candidates who received the most electoral votes. Each state delegation votes en bloc - its members have a single vote collectively (and the District of Columbia does not receive a vote). A candidate must receive an absolute majority of state delegation votes (currently 26) in order for that candidate to become the President-elect.

This is about more then just winning a single election

And if we don't take every opportunity to show our numbers and push and shout the message, then we haven't done our damn jobs.

Yes, it is about MORE, but it is at LEAST about winning THIS

Perhaps you meant to say, it is NOT at ALL about winning this election. That would be accurate from your sentiment.

No he is not

saying that at all. Some times when you are in a fight for your life you do not worry to much about, "should I throw and upper cut or try and catch him with a left hook". You just fight like a wildcat and hope for the best. I'm sure the guy wants to win just as much as you do but he knows this is not a one round fight if we plan on saving this country.

That's some good info.. thanks!

It gives me more to think about if that scenario plays out.

Ouch so that would give an advantage to Romney if Obama doesn't get 270 either? Wow. I'd have to double check this.

Then the GOP might want Ron Paul to run a third party. Fascinating.

This idea that Ron Paul has a disadvantage in winning EV's in the general applies just the same in the primaries. What makes you think Ron Paul can win a brokered convention and how many times has it been done in history? Lincoln is the only one that comes up... it's a long shot for Ron Paul to win any way you slice it. Doesn't mean I won't try to help him in the GOP and in the general election does it?

Also this strategy was supposed to give Ron Paul the ultimate leverage to win the GOP... but from your post Romney may even want a split EV because the Republicans have the house majority.

Anyways my ultimate goal is to spread the message as far and wide as possible. Our economy and dollar may collapse anytime, but if the Ron Paul's message is out there we can rebuild a free society because the philosophy and culture of our society will change. If not we'll all just fall into a totalitarian state and be thrown in some state gulag in the future.

Try Warren Harden

1921 who went into the National Convention with only 6.5 percent of the delegates and went on to be elected president. Nothing is impossible for those who believe.

There have been other "brokered" conventions besides

Technically, you could say they all were until 1960 when the primary system was in full gear.
