No more LOVE in the rEVOLution
Ok, I just really have to vent here. People are really starting to get childish and rude and it's the completely wrong way to get something accomplished.
People need to get a clue here. Quit with the conspiracy crap unless you have some real proof something happened. Quit with all the negativity. Quit the alarmist ALL CAPS in every single post.
And do some forum edicate, look and see if someone else already posted what you did. I hate following 10 forums on the same topic. This isn't a chat room, it's a forum.

Calling people names when they don't support Ron Paul (really bad).

We Love Freedom, We Love Ron!!
Most of us realize life isn't fair but we have to be smart to bring change. The freedom isn't going away and we'll win sooner if not later. Even Obama is talking about civil liberties and leading the Dems..
McCain is a filp flopper. He used to be for states rights but now that states are moving ahead of the feds in many areas he's against states rights because he's a power mad pos along with rudy romney.
Government is supposed to protect our freedom, our property, our privacy, not invade it. Ron Paul 2007

Was the 1st revolution start by...
kids throwing snow balls at lobster backs?
I hope they got Hannity good!
R3VOLUTION - Secret Crowds
I support the patriots actions
When they chase Hannity down the street, I put it to all of you rite now, I SUPPORT IT 100%. I am with them all the way, I will die for freedom. They are patriots, angry at the what the shills are doing on behalf of the families.
My personal opinion and I'm sure plenty of others, we will not shed a tear when all the talking heads who has pretty much destroyed America from within, are hanged from trees all over America.
This revolution is worldwide. If America fails, God help us all
Do we need to shed the love in the revolution? We have been screwed big time in New Hampshire.
I'm pretty sure that America
I'm pretty sure that America didn't win its independence through peace. The American Revolution was NOT peaceful. Not that I am advocating any violence whatsoever, rather I am glad that people are passionate and fighting back for injustices being committed. If you think it's possible to sit back and watch the MSM control the election and win, you've truly mistaken. The tide sure is turning, and the people turning it is out there fighting the injustice.
You've got a point...
However, I'm not feeling much luuuuv from YOUR post! :-)
"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." - Romans 12:18
Brilliant article that explains why we love Dr. Paul:

More can be achieved
More can be achieved through peace.
Trust me, I am quick to kick someones ass if they cross the line with me... but I have learned that if you can "Kill them with kindness" it's more painful...
WE are ALL sick and tired! WE are ALL pissed off! but we need to keep ourselves composed right now. If we give them any reason, we will be considered "Terrorists" and we will ruin this WHOLE CAMPAIGN that we have worked so hard for.
Think of it this way...
They are just HOPING that we step over the line... cause they will pounce and we will lose.
I think there is plenty of love in the rEVOLution
I read it every day. To say there is no more love is ridiculous -- get over yourself as the Australians say.
Ron Paul "Sign Wave Across the USA" -- November 5th!
sometimes i use caps but it's because
i have trouble reading real flat text like this. Dyslexia. So, i sort of like caps here and there. But i will try harder not to absent mindedly do it here.
On the subject of being nice out there, i have tried different approaches and have had luck with the very friendly / humorous approach. Such as, "Hey, am i glad i ran into you, that guy down there told me to give you this..." as an ice breaker - i find more people take the leaflet then. After all, i am carrying a sign the size of a Mini Cooper, they see me coming. Here is my philosophy: I figure, i have about 4 seconds to intrigue them with my personality. I need them to be smiling for several seconds after we meet. That way, they are less likely to refuse / toss the leaflet. For now i am a real person they met. That is my 2 cents anyway.
At least on this forum any 'damage' is minimal. I agree that in public it is really critical to be nice.

You can't say there's no
You can't say there's no more love in the rEVOLution just because some group of people chased Hannity down and, at the worst, inflicted minor school yard violence. As far as I know, there are millions in this thing and the people who walked-down Hannity were a small group. You can't denounce the movement just because of them. It doesn't work that way.
And if you want to go the extra mile, you can say the MSM might've had a hand in provoking this. I predicted they would use this tactic at some point(dress agens d'provocetur up as ron paul supporters.) If true, they remain as reassuringly predictable as possible.
you can't change this...
...the question is: should you?
there will always be an element that is more aggressive than you. hope that it doesn't escalate for now, but find some comfort in knowing that it will be there if need be.
snowballs? shouting? goodness, tsk tsk. we wouldn't want rubber bullets, tear gas, billy clubs, fire hoses, or tasers now would we?
get real...this isn't a sit-in.
The only thing we can do is control ourselves
and persuade others to do so. When you get a bunch of angry people united behind a single cause those people always embarrass the cause. It happens with every campaign. Where it gets us into trouble as you point out—is that we've got the most defiant people in the country on our side. The change must occur within them. It is not enough to say 'that's not cool.' They need to adopt personally a new mentality: 'What I did wasn't helping anyone; I can do better'. When we make the focus the principle of service, and when it sinks into the heads of those folks who acted out, they will begin to rethink their own motives and start doing this campaign good. That said, we have the best supporters of any campaign there's ever been. These folks are a tiny minority of us, and their shenanagans will never outshine the work that goes on here.
for any of us who have been
for any of us who have been assulted, our kids taken away, our money taken away, our homes taken away. completely robbed. The governemnt has been violent with us and the media represents them. I will protest peacefully and politically but This is where we are coming too. Enough is is enough I cant stand it anymore Im mad as hell and people are going to pop. Sean Hannity did it too himself, I hope hes scared everytime he leaves his office. Nect hopefully oreilly gets a sno ball in the face.
Don't forget The rEVOLution
Love attracts and fear repels. This is a truism. Stay positive and ignore the Hannitys of the world.
I think we have lost our way
In my opinion we spend too much time discussing (arguing!) with each other.
My suggestion is that we all accept and respect what others are doing and thinking and just stop talking about it. It is fair to asume that all here do what they do because they think it helps the cause (let's forget about the non Paul supporters who may show up here from time to time).
We do not have to agree. Let's just all get on with it!

New forum?
Perhaps we can add a new forum for discussions that are not directly related to getting Dr. Paul elected. Things like snowballs, CFR conspiracies, and the like. ;)
It's called Ron Paul Forums
they can go over there.
Ron Paul "Sign Wave Across the USA" -- November 5th!
My opinion
My opinion is that every time Hannity goes out in public for the next year, he should face a demonstration like last night.
Follow him like papparatzi but with Ron Paul signs and chants instead of cameras.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion
but what Hannity deserves may not help us get Ron Paul elected. You have to remember what our goals are.
this is the best publiccity we
could get in a million years. folks young people are fed up. wait till they see that video million will watch it and love it.
PTSD?
You can only take so much abuse, lying and manipulation before you act out.
Every revolution needs three components: political, cultural and muscle. Do you think Ireland would earned her freedom just on the words of the statesman, Eamon de Valera? No, it was a combination of de Valera's politics, the promotion of the Irish Gaelic culture by the likes of WB Yeats and Padraic Pearse and the muscle provided by Michael Collins that made Ireland free.
You think people posting signs in the building behind that FOX charade is uncool. But, I think the police running into the building like storm troopers to tear down some blurry signs is uncool.
Several of the most significant leaders
of our century have shown that you do not require muscle for a revolution to be successful (at least muscle in the sense you are referring to). Look at Gandhi and Martin Luther King. These men are true heroes. They beat the establishment without an act of violence.
Honestly, most of the behavior we are talking about (i.e. snowballs etc) is not violent but childlike. This behavior does not promote the cause but rather dilutes it.
uh.....you need a lesson in Indo-Pakistan history....
obviously gandhi didn't advocate violence but his followers did get violent....Ron Paul doesn't advocate any of this nonsense but ppl are frustrated....
I wouldn't put it past some planted agitators
"It does not take a majority to prevail ... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams
"The use of 'Conspiracy Theorist' or 'Truther' as a derogatory -- as an epithet almost -- is something the propagandists have perfected over the decades, and it's a useful tool for eliminating articulate dissent."
Not cool
It's ok to yell at Sean, but tossing a snowball is too-much. It's wrong. Chasing after him and yelling might be funny, but throwing snow at him could hurt the guy. How is that going to convert him into supporting us???
Some nutcase threw a chunk of ice at us Ron Paul supporters from a highrise in St. Pete, and thank God he missed. The St. Petersburg, FL police (who witnessed it) up after the bastard anyway. What's different about this incident (except the slightly-funny but to-be-expected fact that "our" side has better shots?)?? It's wrong, and whoever did it should make an apology to Sean, IMO, but probably won't.
JMR
flagging all snowball references
untrue, until someone versifies it is hear say and perpetuated by more post saying like it is true.
No snow ball thrown at Hannity!

blowback
so I think we should be peacefull but when I read Sean Hannity was chased down and hit with sno balls, I thought it was hillarious. If more americans become more outraged by governement and media garbage t will get worse only proving Ron Pauls point about blowback.
Everybody's anxious
about our candidate........and a little ticked he's being shunned so badly by the media thugs. I too, have threatened to leave the site, but I've gotta admit, I'm pretty much hooked! I would like to see everybody chill a little, too. No need for yelling at opponents, or surely chasing them.....

Just When Everyone Else Was Starting to Listen
These idiots go & do something like chase down Hannity. I don't always like what he has to say either, but the "supporters" who did this just threw us all into the pile labeled "lunatic fringe". This is just what many other candidates' supporters wanted. Thanks a lot.
Ask your self what would the Dr. Do?
He mentions Gandhi a plenty.
NcMarc: Edit and delete accusations unless you have some proof.
Please edit your post on the accusation that a Ron Paul supporter hit Hannity with a snow ball. Please verify or else you are perpetuating hearsay. Even the flicker picture does not proof anything. I saw the video and did not see any harm or snow on Hannity. The people in front of the Radisson were very well behaved and left as soon as they were asked to leave. There was a link to the I TV. It served to prove a point.
You are not doing any good regurgitating stuff as fact.
I believe you are missing the point
of the post. NcMarc is talking about a general problem here at DailyPaul. When all is said and done, our behavior does reflect positively/negatively on RP. Lets let it be positive.
