I wouldn't call examiner corporate media

It's really more of a blogging service.

A pleasure.

Seriously a pleasure to be there tonight. Thank you Dr. Paul and all the people that put this event on. It was almost surreal seeing him in person. Even more so, this movement, this revolution, is alive in California! Keep fighting and spreading the word! Freedom will reign once more upon our shores.

Haha! Note the sign language translator switch...

at the 2:25 mark in the Part 2 video (http://youtu.be/wBhvxtUkrQs?t=2m25s). Looks like ol' Ron wore them out!

"Liberty, when it begins to take root, is a plant of rapid growth." - George Washington

Probably federal regulations

Probably federal regulations say that they can't work longer than 2 minites and 25 seconds without a break.

We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive.

-C. S. Lewis

Bravo. Liberty in one lesson.

"People ask me what they ought to do?"
"I tell them, do whatever you want to do" ~Dr. Paul

Let's see, can I use my heart and my brains?

I want prosperity so I promote liberty for all.

I want Peace so I seek justice for all.

Thanks John for aggregating the links.

Free includes debt-free!

It would be nice to hear

Dr. Paul say, "That's why I need your VOTES to bring freedom and peace and prosperity back to our Country again"...

Just once..Instead of "Do whatever you want to do"...

I was thinking the same thing, here is my summary

One the one hand, If Dr. Paul is winning hearts and minds then trusts people to do what is needed, they can figure it out for themselves.

On the other hand, if you want the job, ask for the job, my dad told his grandchildren.

On the other hand, Dr. Paul has won several Federal Elections, might he be going with what worked in the past?

Do you suppose the testimony of supporters of Liberty who are voting for Ron Paul will be more effective than the candidate asking?

Looking at it another way, I am free to do whatever I want to do. Can I ask ten people to cast their vote for Ron Paul?

Can I leave Dr. Paul free to do what he wants to do. It seems only fair.

So it's up to me, to get done what I want done.

Free includes debt-free!

Umm

Was it just me or was this epic on an entire new level? It sounded like Dr.Paul was giving a Speech that was already written in history books.

I just had a new idea for converting...Challenge any Mitt supporter to listen to one speech of your choice an you will listen to a speech of theirs and have them listen to this speech...I am sure that this speech is more epic than normal.

definitly epic!

Ron Paul is The Man!

Participate in America's future- Research Ron Paul- Truth will Prevail! You too, will be proud one day, to be able to say: "I was a Ron Paul supporter."

3 days

We had 3 days to organize and alert people to this event. I think we do one heck of an amazing job!!!! I'm so proud of our Ron Paul team up here! The Northstate LOVES Ron Paul!!!!!!

"Freedom is popular"!!!

What were the reactions of

What were the reactions of the students there? I wouldn't be surprised if liberty exploded in California.

Were people handing out voter registration forms?

Crowd reactions

There were times at the beginning of the speech that I felt like perhaps some of the topics were going 'over the heads' of those around me, but his message focused on coming together for the cause of liberty(even if different people do it for different reasons.) By the end of the hour, the crowd was going crazy and I felt like the speech and the night will really resonate with those in attendance!

Yes and people were circulating in the crowd handing

out Super Brochures and leaflets. Carol Paul was there and the corridor of people exiting the stage from the Trinity Commons was lined with happy people high fiving Ron and giving him praise. Interesting that since last March when I was in Simi Valley for one of the first debates, the crowds have grown dramatically and when he used to be able to sign autographs and talk to every person, he simply can no longer do or he would never make it to Berkeley! That is a good thing. Talked to a couple of the local cops and asked them if they knew they were going to have a rock star in their presence. They all agreed Ron is truly a rock star and they had no idea! It was awesome.

Just a reality check as I was right there behind the stage.

I have produced over 1,100 major special events for a living and have had events with over 100,000 spectators and participants, so I know how to count crowds. Tonight was probably 3,500 tops and not 6,000, but still impressive. Chico is a town with census of around 88,000 with maybe 150,000 including the County Seat Orovile just south. Not as an enthusiastic a crowd as he has had at other places, but considering there were OWS people there and Chico is an area that I sensed there were a lot of people there that this may have been there first exposure to Ron, like they were just curious but did not know that much about him. Great that they were there to listen and learn. Met some interesting people there, including a history teacher at nearby Butte College who was definitely an Obama person last election cycle, but is now seriously beginning to understand Dr. Paul's wisdom. She made an interesting point in saying that if Ron can change the financial system and abolish the FED, all the other parts fall into place. I could not agree more.

Thanks for your qualified estimate.

I wish you could have attended some of Ron's other large outdoor events (Philly 2008 and Madison 2012) that had supposedly high turnouts. I know how eager the campaign is to report high numbers and also how easily we fool ourselves.

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

and I've added a link to your comment

I thought your comment should be linked in the top part of the original post.

Again, thank you.

Thank you

An NBC reporter, previously embedded with Paul's campaign Tweeted that the campaign officially gave him the 6,200 count---I'm glad to have your eye witness account. Someone might be a little overanxious---like you make clear there's nothing wrong with 3,000 Plus in Chico.

Ya, did not look like much

Ya, did not look like much over 3000 to me, either. Wisconson still holds the record! :) Nice group though. He is entering the heart of the Democratic beast..wwwwatch out..:)

You know what,, i was at the

You know what,, i was at the rally in Madison Wis, and i dont actually think it hit 5000+. Just saying. Lots of people but i dont know about 5000. The cops said 2500+ so maybe somewhere in between?

*Wisconsin Constitution* Article I, Section 25 "The people have the right to keep and bear arms for security, defense, hunting, recreation or any other law-abiding purpose"

Didn't that rally have free

Didn't that rally have free 'tickets', wouldn't the number given by the campaign be accurate if there were a ticket system like that(where they could count the tickets they gave out).

Tickets

In Madison, they never actually collected our tickets, or even looked at them. Not sure how they could have, considering the outdoor venue... they would have had to block off areas & have limited entrances & exits or something. Not exactly conducive to a freedom rally.

Whitehouse DenMom 2032

yes

I can't know all the details but this is what I understand:

The system maxes out based on venue. They base it on the first venue, which was indoor, approx 2,000. After that, people are placed on a waiting list.

Also, you'd need to factor in no-shows.

It wouldn't prove exact accuracy, but it's a factor. Only the campaign actually would know that data.

I think the MSU rally was still the biggest so far

because it was more measurable (knowing the seating capacity of the venue) and there were lots of pictures showing people standing and sitting in open areas AND I was there :)

Voters

Can anyone tell me if Paul told people to register as Republicans? Or at least the person who introduced Paul said this?

HIs words were.

"People ask me what to do. I tell them to do what you want." He did not specifically say, be sure and register to vote, etc.

Good Question

I've been wondering why no one instructs everyone with a smart phone to text a quick message to all their friends---Something like "I'm here with Ron Paul---go to X webpage"

That's a hell of alot of FREE text messages which will be read

You just did.
