He makes a point..

...which is how can someone getting 10K people at a rally be last.

Answer: Because hes NOT last.. he has 380 delegates by conservative counts and also because you can't get votes when the GOP shuts down the caucus like Obama camp did to Hillary in '08

This is a bad article

You need to know where the writer of the article stands then read: http://communities.washingtontimes.com/neighborhood/tygrrrr-...

A quote from the article above which is about Romney and "how well he does":
"The other candidates did not speak. Supporters of those candidates who live in a delusional fantasyland where they are actually winning will remain there. After the general election they will argue with inanimate objects about how they really won."

Now let us get back to the article in this thread:

I don't know how you guys read these articles but when I read an article then I have to split it into segments to find the key for the author's stand.

The key is obvious in this article:

"While Dr. Paul's chances of winning the White House are dwindling, his star among the faithful is shining as bright as it ever has."

This is the key, the author's message to the mind of the reader, read it in another way:

"Dr. Paul will never be the nominee but we need his supporters."

It's all playing with the mind of the reader to leave a massage there.

You need to understand what he means by 6 young "men" and 2 older individuals, keep in mind that all of the 8 do not have names as he writes on.

The 6 young "men" will vote for Obama if Dr. Paul is not the nominee as he claims, the message to your mind is that "the young individuals that Dr. Paul is bringing to the Republican party are not true Republicans", I hope that you get it.

The 2 older individuals are "true" Republicans and they are "tough" as it is the case with "all" "true" Republicans, these 2 individuals will not vote for Obama or any other Republican and will write Dr. Paul on the ballot in the presidential election if Dr. Paul is not the nominee.

The author is telling the reader, which is probably a Republican reader: "Don't count on 75% of Dr.Paul's supporters because they are young and will vote for Obama at the end, but we need those 25% "true" Republicans back to the real camp."

The author needs you to believe that he is on your side so you let your guarded mind down to slip a message into your mind, but the fact is that this is a bad article and is written pretty poorly to make it look like a tweeted message, which is the intention in the first place.

Can we not give that scumbag

Can we not give that scumbag anymore webclicks for whatever seemingly "WOW" trash he wrote? He has now started moderating/deleting my comments there, just as he did back in October/November for sticking up for US Constitution & questioning where is Israel (or for that matter any other country) mentioned in the Constitution. According to their standrads, basic Constitutional questions are considered "HATE SPEECH" now, while they can go on producing hateful videos towards US Constitution on youtube.

Eric Golub is a scumbag

You are right on that, this is from another article he wrote, you need to read the part at the end "The remaining 10% see Ron Paul winning the entire nomination and the general election because their island filled with virgins carries the day. There are plenty of hallucinogens on this island.":

"Perception sometimes trumps reality. Rick Santorum had a good night. Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich can be debated either way. They both won a decent amount of delegates, especially Romney. Ron Paul based his entire night on Hawaii. So when he puts in zero effort, such as in Alabama and Mississippi, he is rejected by 96% of the electorate.

When he concentrates all of his time, energy, and resources, he is only rejected by 82% of the electorate. In other words, definition alone prevents him from winning less than nothing. He won nothing. The excuses will come in much faster than the votes.

Some say the race is over, and that Mitt Romney has won. Others see a two-man race once Gingrich drops out. Yet he says he is not dropping out. Others see a three-man race. The remaining 10% see Ron Paul winning the entire nomination and the general election because their island filled with virgins carries the day. There are plenty of hallucinogens on this island."

It Wasn't

It wasn't really all that favorable. He drastically downplayed the crowd, showed a picture from the Rally for the Republic from 4 years ago (WTF?), and carried the same tired "Paul can turn out folks to a speech, but can't get them to vote" garbage. I will give the author credit for getting in the trenches and debating readers in the comment section. Though he isn't a very strong debater. He made weak arguments, like "Santorum didn't get much press coverage and look where he's at now" and "little attention from the media means less scrutiny".

I do not like this article at all...

It is watering down a serious movement. Tone is "kids are cute, but immature, you know like with Beatles". Ron Paul is not becoming a president due to his fault that he needs to think about. And, kids will not cry because he will not be a president. Kids even think that some wars are technically legal, those 6 typical ones who represent all the others... Overall, these fine young people had some good time at these fashionable gatherings, but that's it...

The writer is saying something very important!

I think the writer was all very positive. He only was asking why is the rest of the voters
Staying away from him!? He says there is some link missing in Ron Paul's message that the typical older less intellectual voter can identify with. Learning about Mises Institute and the need to get rid of the Fed is way above their range of play. This scares them. These voters need another aspect of the economy that can change under Ron Paul that can create jobs put millions back to work and increase the standard of living for millions. Once Dr Paul unleashes that information these hesitant voters will flocks to his candidacy. Go Ron Paul !

Hate the SIN (media blackout)

...not the sinner (reporter). Strike at the root.(media bias)..not the lil twigs(paid mouth-pieces).

I love the picture and there are some great things in the article. The negative comments below attacking the reporter only detract from DPers enjoying the press.

Note: Everyone likes compliments. Even this twig and it is a for the most part good article in that it hits some points we want hit and the picture, to me, is stellar.

We won't stand for media black-out and bias. Forget the writers of negative articles...they won't be around in the NM...and that is not Neiman Marcus...that's the New Press!!

fonta

Once again, let me make this

Once again, let me make this easier for you. Here are Israel-firster garbage illustrations of how big of a Ron Paul HATER that writer is.

It is stunning how much they hate Ron Paul. So I conclude that

it is really America they hate! This author is a nightmare. He needs some blowback on that you tube. Couldn't bear to watch the 2nd one. This is who we are up against.

Nice youtube find

I don't know if I should laugh or cry if such people are writing "most favorable coverage" now that they presume our campaign is "safely finished".

I say, LET'S PROVE SCUMBAGS like this WRONG!!!

I was also there. The only reason those section were not filled at the beginning was because the fire marshal stopped letting people in. They then re-opened 1/2 hr after the speech started, and they were seating people until the end of his speech.

As for the media, how many mainstream media outlets reported this event? And you claim there is no bias, and it's not an issue?

Other wise good article,

Thanks

"When governments fear the people there is liberty. When the people fear the government there is tyranny."

-Thomas Jefferson

Highly strange...

that there was a fire danger at the beginning and not later... I also did not notice empty seats in tennis finals due to fire marshals... I suspect that somebody whispered to fire marshal to make it not full, and then, someone else raised a voice...

media bias

My point was the fact that they used a picture from a different event that gives the impression of a much smaller crowd that the stadium. The media is biased as h@ll, and it's a nauseating shame. Dr. Paul deserves better.

...And the truth will march on!!!!

The message of truth & liberty!

Beautiful

Not completely accurate, but great.

That guy is an Israel-firster

That guy is an Israel-firster hack job. Go through his history of Ron Paul related blogposts on that website. Even in the article you posted, check for persistent snarky snide remarks such as:

"Others blamed a lack of media attention. This does not stand up to scrutiny. Dr. Paul gains tons of attention by his supporters playing up that very lack of attention. Everybody knows who he is."
