The Berkeley Chapter of Students for Liberty helped co-ordinate this event --- It could not have been easy and Students for Liberty and people just like them in the other cities did a helluva job. Thank you all!

My guess on audience size is comparative; like the other events it's not possible to know a hard number. The Berkeley audience was perhaps roughly the size of Chico and Madison. I really haven't seen enough to know for sure.

It was not as big as UCLA. For now, BRUINS RULE!

Video: (:37 sec)At UC Berkeley 48 years ago, Mario Savio delivered a speech about The Machine. A speech much like what Ron Paul will deliver tonight.

America Needs to Stand Tall (and Vote for Ron Paul) Song Recorded by Ken Suitter - 1 of the 2 RP supporters arrested in St. Charles, MO.

May 4, 1970, National Guard troops killed 4 people at Kent State.

Nationwide, students went on strike, closing hundreds of colleges and high schools. They were protesting illegal, immoral war and the expansion of that undeclared war into Cambodia.

President Nixon was removed from Washington, D.C., for security reasons.

Reflecting on it later, Neil Young wrote the song:Ohio (music video here)

40 years ago Ohio said what Ron Paul says today.

Ohio (lyrics here) asks "How can you run when you know?":

In recent days, thousands stood with Ron Paul-- in Madison, in Chico and last night in Los Angeles.

Ohio issues a call to action:"Gotta get down to it, soldiers are cutting us down, should have been done long ago."

40 years later Ron Paul calls us to action!

Gotta get down to it. We don't run!

Today, thousands stand with Ron Paul in the Bay Area.

There's no way to stop an idea whose time has come.

Any Berkeley people out there? Is it Doe Library steps?

Just got a worrisome call from a friend who's

at the rally. She's standing in the crowd and says she can't hear a thing. I hope the sound system is adequate so most people can hear, otherwise they may start leaving.
My tummy has been butterfly-ish about this, my old school and so many people there I've been trying to wake up, though I'm far away now.

That's the risk of moving

That's the risk of moving venues at the last minute.

tell her to go here: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/msl209 with an android and she can hear it.

These numbers in the past few days are incredible.

Thanks

I'll fix it; I even thought about it too :)

Been away too long and brain getting older :)

FYI, I'm just posting this

FYI, I'm just posting this here to get eyeballs of whomever it may apply to.

I'm from southwestern Michigan and am looking to move some Ron Paul slim jims (issue cards) to northwest Indiana, especially the South Bend area. I'm willing to deliver about seventy-five dollars worth of them for just twenty-five bucks, all of which will be going to fund more campaigning. The campaign saves the shipping and production costs which do nothing to help the campaign, you save a lot of money period, and I can move left over inventory that would otherwise go to waste and help fund my Uncle and I for delegate campaigning in Michigan. Win-win-win= win for all.

Let me know if you're interested, thanks!

Bring it home

Bring it home California!!

Texas is next, and I'll be there!

Letter to local NBC about tonight

Presidential candidate Ron Paul will be speaking tonight in Berkeley. It will be on the campus and impossible to miss! Your coverage would be greatly appreciated.

Fox news released an article stating Paul's campaign is quiet and that he has stopped campaigning. To the contrary, just last night in CA, Paul had perhaps the largest crowd gather to see a candidate's rally in history. For the last week the candidate Paul has been drawing record crowds. Surely the news organizations are aware of this. Any willfull omission of facts is a great disservice to the public, and a punishable offense should suit be filed.

Don't miss it! The whole country is watching :)

Sent that to this address as was suggested in another thread.

Please be respectful and tactful, and remind them that covering Ron Paul will boost their ratings. At the end of the day, that's all they care about.

KTVU Oakland Just Did a Really Nice Piece on Ron

KTVU Channel 2 in Oakland (Independent Station) did a really nice piece on Ron Paul at 6:09 PDT tonight.

The reporter has been following Ron all over San Francisco. She stated that the Fundraiser held in San Francisco earlier today was crowded with Supporters and a big success.

She interviewed several RP Supporters in SF who were sign waving on SF Street Corners in front of the Fundraiser Location. Note, our Supporters are articulate and very good on camera.

Finally, she was live on the UC Berkeley Campus at the end of the piece telling the TV audience of the Event Location Change.

Overall, a great piece of journalism.

Alright!

Thank you!

I never got final word...I was back and forth with a few of the people in Union Square...then it just stopped!

Guess they were busy talking to reporters :)

I'm here in the crowd

Did anyone catch this BS article in the Boston Globe?

http://boston.com/community/blogs/less_is_more/2012/04/ron_p...

"The other problem Paul faces is that a chunk of his small but devoted base travels to see him everywhere he goes so his events are not always an accurate reflection of the local voter base."

Everything done is devalued on this campaign.

Yeah,

so we're the McR3VOLution going to McRallies?

LOL

Yeah, working everyday Americans are so well off that we'll pack all our stuff and exactly the same 10,000+ of us travel WITH the Doc wherever he goes.

LOL

Simple cognitive logic alone should've made the readers dismiss such nonsense as BS, but considering modern sheeple, & Boston Globe's (owned by NYT) their typical readership, wouldn't be surprised if such mental pause at cognitive dissonance of the statist scribe probably just went over their collectivist heads.

You wanna know the most 'tragic' and pathetic fact? Garrett Quinn is a contributor to the "libertarian" Reason Mag.

http://reason.com/people/garrett-quinn/all

Pathetic eh? Occasionally he has covered Dr. Paul and the R3VOL rather fairly, but not even in the same solar system as the ONLY 'one of the good guys' at Reason, Brian Doherty, which frankly I hope to God finally tells the KOCHtopus to shove it, and come to Mises.

And guys, are y'all familiar with who Washington Post's Nia-Malika Henderson, whom Garrett quotes, is? She's been on and off 'fair-ish' to the Doc and us, but if you ever caught her during the whole NH Dana Bash brouhaha aftermath, she went on and on at MSDNC about how Dr. Paul has this "schizophrenic love-hate relationship" with the MSM.

Um, really? Don't ya kinda have to have A "relationship" to begin with, for it to be love or hate?

Anyway, on a side note, though media meme-wise it is relevant as the entire MSM is an image business, and as Celente is fond of saying "politics is showbiz for ugly people." Actually guess that would make those who cover 'showbiz for ugly people' as 'ungli-ER people covering Ugly People.' Even worse than entertainment 'press' like Access Hollywood or Entertainment Tonight, who are all equally actor/celeb-wannabes, but couldn't become one themselves. Basically an industry of envy and vicarious delusions.

Which brings us to this, I actually THOUGHT that Nia-Malika Henderson was an actress whenever I saw her on TV because, shallow me, she's waaaay too distinctive looking to be 'just' a scribe, but not on TV (well, regularly as an anchor or something). Her look isn't what would be considered a "universal pretty," but what a fashion designer would call an "interesting palette/canvas" that they can accentuate or de-emphasize depending on the look they want to go for during their Spring Shows. Ever notice how all the really sought after fashion models aren't always "pretty" pretty, but quirky weird, or simply just freakishly tall?

Considering the fact that WaPo has always been the house organ of the Central Intelligence Agency. Frankly, at this point in history, as Operation Mockingbird NEVER ceased, wouldn't be surprised IF Nia-Malika Henderson turns out to be a spook.

LOL

Just realized I fell into my own oft repeated, 'the question isn't "are you paranoid," but are you paranoid enough?'

lol

Just late Thursday night musings. Don't mind me.D
