Paul Festival - Tampa, FL Aug.24-26

BIG NEWS fellow Ron Paul supporters and Lovers of Liberty everywhere! Over the past several months, a coalition of grassroots supporters from across the country (some of the same individuals who brought you the Revolution March on Washington DC, with over 15,000 participants, as well as some volunteers from the Rally for the Republic with over 20,000 in attendance), have joined forces with other talented supporters to produce what many of you have been blogging and posting about here for quite some time! Introducing:

Florida State Fairgrounds (pending) - August 24-26,
the weekend before the Republican National Convention!

This event will be THE event of our generation, and will be held in honor of Dr. Paul, the Champion of the Constitution, which he has dedicated his entire life to upholding. Also, it just so happens that his 77th birthday falls a few days beforehand, so come join us in the celebration! With a capacity of over 100 thousand people, over 355 acres, 20,000 lit parking spaces, 400+ camping sites, and six buildings with over 273,000 square feet of indoor space, this will be the BIGGEST festival celebrating Liberty in the history of our time, BY FAR! Let the LAMEstream media try to keep US quiet!

We invite you to connect with us and get the latest updates at www.PAULFESTIVAL.com. This will be a massive undertaking, and WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!! You will also have the opportunity to make advanced ticket purchases on the website, as well as reserve travel and lodging packages, T-shirts, and more! This is a GRASSROOTS effort, organized and put together by dedicated everyday individuals just like you who have volunteered their time and energy to the cause of Liberty. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT in order to make this event a reality. THIS IS A NON-PROFIT EVENT. All donations and funds raised will go toward the promotion/production of this event, securing an A-list of celebrities, and musicians, etc. This may be a pivotal moment in bringing awareness to the 521 delegates up for grabs at the convention, and securing the GOP nomination for Dr. Paul. We intend to invite ALL the delegates to experience the message of freedom- and have fun doing it!

PR help

I will be graduating with a degree in communications from NIU in about a month and plan on going into public relations. I'd love to help out with the production of news releases and other PR efforts for Paul Fest, even if it's just locally in the Chicago area. Also, you guys are probably well aware, but at this point it's not about how many people know about the event, but WHO knows. I know you are trying to recruit celebs (Jon Stewart, Vince Vaughn? Would be cool to get Vince to help with the Ronvoy from Chicago) but I would also encourage us all to think of any other key publics we could reach out too...#brainstorming.

I'm sure we can definitely

I'm sure we can definitely use your help! We do have a list we've been putting together but it'd be great if you could help us think of a few more to add. Please either message me with your contact info, or better yet, contact HOOT (Bryan Siemon - bsiemon@paulfestival.com) directly. He's in charge of our PR efforts. Thank you so much for your offer to help us!

Santorum dropping out

The importance of the Paul Festival may just have increased exponentially... especially if all the bound delegates Santorum had won become unbound... With only Romney, Gingrich and Paul left in the race, and Romney with little chance of beating Obama.. the delegates will eventually come to realize that and vote for Paul if it comes down to a brokered convention. showing the delegates that Ron Paul has the widest support becomes critical and the Paul Festival can do just that. It's imperative that we have as many people participate in this event as possible. THIS IS OUR LAST STAND!

Yes, and he just won the St. Charles, MO caucus!!!

Fantastic. Just another

Fantastic. Just another example of how awesome this movement really is. The people who set up the Ronvoys deserve an award, imo!

If there's any way I can make it I'm gonna try to be there, either to shoot a documentary on you amazing people or just to have a lot of fun, get inspired and maybe catch a glimpse of the good doc himself. I've been aching to go the States for a long time and travel around the South. And what better time to do it?
It's gonna be a hell of job to get the resources and money together to pull it off, but if there's any way to do it..

Who can I interview on ron paul radio to help promote the event?

Oshkosh Wisconsin

...would love to show up too! Any way that we can get a ride lined up you guys?? I missed the huge turnout in Madison..I was bummed that Dr. Paul only made that one stop here..working 12 hour days without a chance to take off sucked! But I will be planning for this trip because to say "I WAS THERE, LONG LIVE THE RON PAUL R3VOLUTION!!" would make this a very special day in my life. My father would dig his way out of his grave to vote for this man, Dr. Paul reminds me ALOT of my dad..this would make him proud as well. If there is a way for Wi. to get included in this that would be great!

We can't do Oshkosh proper, however...

We have Ronvoy vehicles departing from Milwaukee on Thursday, August 23rd at 9:00am. The original departure cities are chosen based on the size of the city, and preferably a good departure location, such as an airport where travelers can leave vehicles for the duration of their trip. Milwaukee travelers will depart from General Mitchell field. The roundtrip rate is $170 per person. See more details at the Ronvoy site at http://ronvoy2012.eventbrite.com and don't hesitate to contact me with any questions! :)

I am sure there will be tons

I am sure there will be tons of suggestions on how to make this a tremendous success, my two cents worth : Invite all of the MSM and hire a local radio station to cover some of the events to make sure the news get out to the local and State public. Also, place ads on the Web and the major newspapers across the country advertizing the festival.

Scott Ledger from the show Dangerous Conversation

http://www.radioio.com/btls/2011/06/13/dangerous-conversation/ is in Tampa - and joined us on our conference call today, Ledge is really going to help us get the word out there locally - he's very connected to Tampa's FM rock station and local music scene.

Jules Arnold has a show at http://americanlibertyriders.ning.com/ and is going to help us get the word out there in other biker media - he's dedicating every Monday to Ron Paul and updates on the festival and the Veterans for Liberty - he's also organizing a nationwide ride to descend on the RNC! http://revolutionridersfrontpage.blogspot.com/

Josh Tolley http://www.joshtolley.com/ with his 50 stations nationwide is our spokesman - Josh has serious MSM connections.

Alex Jones helped us promote the Veterans March on the White House, and I'm pretty sure he'll do the same for the festival and the march on the RNC....

And you're right, we do need web banners! We'll send out press releases soon, and will be very busy calling the MSM, sending faxes and emails as we get into August. If you can help with any of this Charles, please sign up as a volunteer on the website, and call me if you Really want to get involved! 206-501-9221

This festival + the Veterans march the first day of the convention http://www.facebook.com/events/222975741135078/
the march for everyone on the 28th http://www.libertymarch.org/ = Tampa is going to be epic!

Josh talked about this on the show today.

I joined this forum because of a clip I seen from Josh talking about freedom and I knew he (and people like him; Robin Koerner, Ben Swann) bring the leadership and mainstream appeal this movement needs.

SO glad to see he is part of this!

Hi Zak, I will be promoting

Hi Zak, I will be promoting the Festival on the RenewAmerica.US Forum. Also, I hope to convince members of my family and friends to attend. This has awesome potential!

Thank You Charles!

we have banners available and I can send a few people that are involved to be interviewed your way too!

MSM will definitely be

MSM will definitely be invited, and we already have local/regional/nationally syndicated radio personality already on-board helping us to coordinate from the get-go!

Here's hoping it does NOT

Here's hoping it does NOT turn into a reprise of Chicago 1968.

"Obama’s Economists: ‘Stimulus’ Has Cost $278,000 per Job."

That means: For each job "created or saved" about five were destroyed.

My sentiments exactly

I have an unsettling feeling that they better have a good triage set up. No doubt in my mind that provocateurs will be on hand to attempt to discredit the movement.

There are no politicians or bankers in foxholes.

We will have a ton of

We will have a ton of veterans, Oath Keepers and other law enforcement/first responders involved in the event, but we have every intention of coordinating with the RNC and local police to make sure that nothing like that happens. The organizers of this event have experience with the Revolution March, and the Rally for the Republic which were flawlessly organized - they will be bringing a lot of experiences from those events to this one as well. But besides all that, there will be so much good music, food and camaraderie at this event, I'm sure it will not devolve into something so violent and hateful. The LOVE in rEVOLution will DEFINITELY be over-emphasized throughout the event!

Also, one of the great benefits of going on the Ronvoy is that you'll be riding on a cross-country trip with fellow supporters who you'll be bonding with all along the way. We invite other travelers, including those planning to go on RV's, buses, and motorcycles to all hookup and try to make the trip together. There is greater safety in numbers, and the opportunity for bonding will be life changing. For those of you who saw "The Stand", the Stephen King novel that was made into a movie.. just imagine caravans of Ron Paul supporters, miles long traveling across the country, all congregating on Tampa... That's what I imagine happening anyway... It will truly be a sight to behold.

Didn't half of the trekkers

in "The Stand" get vaporized by a nuke? You are seriously underestimating the opposition's determination to drive a stake through Ron Paul's movements heart. The nuke analogy is just that, they have other means they are very capable of using to discredit us.Your statement of "coordinating with the RNC" sent a chill up my spine, great idea but bad location and even worse timing for it.

The Stand is one of my favorite movies of all time. If anyone

hasn't seen it, you should, and see what jaek is talking about. It's a classic!

is really inspiring, looks like i will be requesting that weekend off from work and be going to Tampa to visit my grandmother, and maybe even convincing her to go...(finally got her to see the light) ...wow this is just so exciting....only if my drummer wasn't such a hardline democrat supporter, my band could play...maybe even write a few songs for ron paul....although i dont know how many paul supporters there are into punk rock........man i can't wait for this

I'm a punk rocker for Ron

I'm a punk rocker for Ron Paul, and so is my drummer/husband. My opinion: lots of punk music is honest about what is wrong in society and they are super angry about it! Great fit with Ron Paul; although politically i do know quite a few punk rockers who go well past libertarianism and in to anarchy.

I am an anarchist for Ron

I am an anarchist for Ron Paul. And my favorite band is Against Me! (although the lead singer actually endorsed Obama lmfao in 2008)

However, let's be clear...Ron Paul strongly advocates self-government. That's all anarchism is. It has VERY LITTLE, if not nothing, to do with smashing in Starbucks windows. :)

Ron Paul is the ONLY presidential candidate/senator/congressman I've ever heard happily acknowledge the anarchists in his crowds. And we cheered loudly when he did. <3
