one of these bills will slip through. The modus operandi of the Obama administration from day one has been to simultaneously push enough bad legislation that we can't keep up with it all. They have been quite successful to date, take the NDAA and PPACA for example. There are simply not enough activist organizations, attorneys and concerned members of the general population to successfully engage the federal legislative machine on every front. In their perpetual war against freedom, the army of bureaucrats in Washington experience no such limitations, should their forces run low, they need but hire more lawyers and pass the bill on to us.

The public outcry against SOPA/PIPA earlier this year was intense and yielded a positive result, but we all knew that more legislation along these lines would be forthcoming, and here it is. The PTB will use any underhanded method at their disposal to achieve their goals. The limited attention span of the American public, it's tendency towards distraction, apathy and remarkable susceptibility to propaganda assure that a percentage of these bills will make their way to Obamas desk where they will be gleefully signed into law.

Should the administration fail at the legislative level, Obama has proven that he has no qualms with ruling by executive order. Then there are the courts, who have repeatedly expressed their disdain for the Constitution, by consistently ruling in favor of tyranny and the gradual removal of every protection afforded us.

I don't point out these things to be discouraging. But rather to encourage one and all to be prepared for any and every eventuality. The Liberty Movement is optimistic by nature, and rightfully so. It's hard to imagine that such a noble cause could ever fail. However, it's worth reminding ourselves from time to time, that the forces aligned against us are not accustomed to defeat, and unlike ourselves are not constrained by the same principles of liberty and justice that compel us. Be prepared.

Here We Go Again...

Congress didn't learn from PIPA, SOPA, and ACTA how we feel about internet censorship. It's heading to house floor soon for a vote. You know what to do. Start tweeting, facebooking, and contact your representatives.

Our first amendment rights are quickly disappearing. We need to stand up for our rights.

Establishment hates Internet

They can't control the flows of real news, and now they want to do it before the damage spread...
I don't know how this will result, but with the impending collapse of the dollars, I don't know what's going to happen in general ...

Real news getting leaked out!!

I think the real reason is not for all this pirating crap the media and big corporation talk about. I think what it is that they know that the real news is getting leaked out. Who would of known about Sopa if you watched Foxnews,MSNBC,CNN ect.. The internet is leaking info about what the government is really trying to do and not do. We are getting the true news on the government and the MSM only wants you to know the bare minimum.
So the government can't just say we are going to ban website that leak info like drudgereport.com So they come up with another plain to make to make a bill that has something to with a problem that is going on as in pirating music and movies but then add in bill to ban these certain website also. Kind of like Obamacare. The main portion of it is about healthcare, but then once you read more about it there are thing in it that have nothing to do with healthcare. That is the same thing the goverment is doing with all of these internet Sopa,Pipa,ACTA,CISPA acts.

This is just my 2cens

Business as usual

As usual the government already does all of this collecting of information and spying. The Department of Injustice just would like to have it codified. In other words they want us to say their spying is alright.

government = government + 1
freedom = freedom - 1

Obama was directly responsible

Obama was directly responsible for the record number of arms sold since he took office.

Oh, we're talking about CISPA... I wonder how HAM radio sales will do? Maybe I should get one now before prices increase. If my friends and family all get one too I could dump the cell phone and the internet :-)

They have those cool ones that are handheld - you can take them in the car, camping out, heck, why not on the couch? We could all decide on a frequency to use and I wouldn't have to worry about hitting that button for 3 party calling!

If the Feds listen in... well they already do that now so I guess that's moot. At least they can't drop my call if I don't pay the - oh yeah, no monthly bill!

Co-sponsor Michelle Bachmann wants to censor your internet. Not surprising, but Darrell Issa? (House Oversight & Reform Committee Chair? Well he is dragging his feet over Fast & Furiouis..
Amazing how these people can put up such a front. All the while... while hiding their true selves - predatory parasites!

Of course the internet is arch enemy no. 1 to the establishment

The establishment and msm have had such control, a monopoly on the so called news for so long. I don't miss sellouts like Dan Rather telling me how the official story on the JFK assassination is accurate or how JFK's head went forward. They gotta control the information, to continue to paint false reality through brainwash tv. They keep bringing these laws or bills back to the table until they get what they want. And we know what they want. They want good little mindless worker sheep who are ignorant to the facts of their corruption and lies. As George Carlin explains here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acLW1vFO-2Q

It will be endless

The media has already been gutted & neutered. The internet will experience an endless onslaught that will need constant defending.

As Naomi Wolf recently said... "As one internet advocate said to me: "There is a race against time: they realize the internet is a tool of empowerment that will work against their interests, and they need to race to turn it into a tool of control."

both of these people assume its ok to spy on people

The assumption that a little spying is ok if you do it for a good purpose is infuriating to me.

The glossing over of your right to privacy shows how much these ignoramuses have been indoctrinated by the state.

Damn, how many of these bills

Damn, how many of these bills have been thrown in this year? Someone is desperate to clamp down on the internetz.
