ST. CHARLES - Supporters of U.S. Rep. Ron Paul took control of St. Charles County’s second-try Republican caucus Tuesday night, winning all of its delegates to later stages of the state GOP’s presidential selection process.
The Paul campaign used superior organization to get its people to the meeting at the St. Charles Convention Center. More than 900 people took part overall.
Brent Stafford, the Paul activist who chaired the caucus, said Paul’s supporters were "inspired by his positions on constitutional government and sound fiscal policy" and his consistency on issues over the years.
"They worked hard, were well organized and they got the turnout," Karen Fesler, the disappointed state director of Rick S’s campaign, said of the victorious Paul team.

...I can't wait to see the results from MO, it should be indicative of what we can expect in other States now that Santorum is out. Let's hope the Santorum supporters want to cooperate.
Redouble your efforts in MO
The timing of Santorum's suspension means we won't be able to form any coalitions tonight. We must have the outright majority of attendees. Wish I was in MO to help you. Don't waste time replying on this thread, go grab every Paul supporter you know.
Free child care is available across the hallway from the caucus entrance.
ARRIVE AT 5:30 IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!
GO MISSOURI!
Reading this thread just made my day
Thank you all you freedom fighters. I am proud to be on your side.

Is it safe to assume with Santorum dropping out .....
his people will not show up tonight for the St Charles Caucus ?
No. But it is safe to say
No. But it is safe to say that they will be hurt and confused.
Now is the time to be gentle and and friendly to them. And it is a time to present them with a plan - how to move on constructively and advance the agendas that led them to support Santorum. Let them know what to do.
Find out what their particular top issues are. Then tell them Ron's positions on those issues. Have some campaign literature with you and show them the appropriate passage.
If they're concerned that Ron can't win the primary, tell them if that's true it won't hurt to vote for him, and WILL send a message to Romney about what he needs to do differently.
If they're concerned that he can't win the general tell them that actually it's Romney that's behind Obama while Ron is ahead, and the Obama machine can destroy Mitt, while more exposure will only help Ron pick up independents and disgruntled democrates.
If they're just anti-Romney tell them to imagine the drubbing Newt would get and that only Ron has enough delegates to beat Romney. Tell them about the delegate strategy and how the media is off.

Very nice.
In other words, BE THE MEDIA.

Excellent Post!
Thank you!
A Constitutional, Christian conservative who voted for Ron and stands with Rand
Call all of our St. Charles alternates!
We need EVERY ONE of them to turn out tonight. There will be a LOT of Santorum no-show delegate spots that we can plug our alternates into. Drag them there if you have to!

If Santorum backs Romney,
If Santorum backs Romney, does that mean that Romney will get all of Santorum's past delegates that he was already won?
NO...those delegates are
...free to vote for ANYONE!
"Truth is an absolute defense to the charge of paranoia."
I hope you're able to begin
I hope you're able to begin negotiations now with the Santorum attendees. With Rick out of the race and most likely endorsing Mitt, the face to face interactions at the caucus could really help sway a lot of them to vote for RP delegates.

Not likely....
...given that we were making deals with the Romney crowd three weeks ago.
The imminent victory for R.P. in St. Charles Co. (and in MO) is the real reason Santorum dropped out this afternoon. The MSM wants to roll forward (THEY ALREADY HAVE--if you heard Fox this afternoon) with the "Romney has won" LIE. That would have been problematic for the news cycle to say that he placed third (or maybe was totally shut out) for delegates out of MO.
The PTB needed a Santorum withdrawal NOW in order to prevent the real news from tonight from grabbing hold with the American people.
"Truth is an absolute defense to the charge of paranoia."
still be kind to the santorum supporters..
tell them it was a tactical move. to get the most out for our candidate who represents many of the things ricky was just talking about
Get there early gang, cameras
ready. Keep us posted go get'em.
Slavery or a Free State? The Missouri Compromise, 1820.
The Missouri Crisis Over Slavery Led to the Missouri Compromise
The crisis developed when Missouri applied for statehood in 1817. Except for Louisiana itself, Missouri was the first territory from within the area of the Louisiana Purchase to apply for statehood. The leaders of the Missouri territory intended it to be state with no restrictions on slavery, which aroused the anger of politicians in the northern states.
The “Missouri question” was a monumental issue to the young nation. Former President Thomas Jefferson, when asked his views on it, wrote in a letter in April 1820, "This momentous question, like a fire bell in the night, awakened and filled me with terror."

2012. Today, once again Missouri must choose.
No to Compromise! Live free! Elect leadership that will allow yourself to live free... Be responsible for yourself. Ron Paul, 2012.
Free State... Let freedom ring. Let liberty thrive.

dirty tricks
gotta wonder what kind of dirty tricks the gop establishment scum have up their sleeves for this one? I hope and pray that the Ron Paulers have a great turnout and dominate this event, but the establishment knows the patriots are coming and they have probably done some extra preparing. be ready for a fight!
I attended the first caucus.
Will be bringing 2 additional RP supporters to the 2.0 caucas Tue night and took the following day off work in case it runs late into the night. In it until the end! Liberty, Peace, Prosperity
Thank You Eli
for your dedicated support here in Missouri. May Ron Paul TAKE MO!
GREAT! My guess is that the
GREAT! My guess is that the establishment will be bringing in people to try and outnumber you this time.
I would be willing to lose my job over this
one event if need be. This could be a state changing event. It's all or nothing baby! We have to "show" the country the way. We are Missouri.
