"But we'll do it the honest way"

love it!

Let's pause for a moment

Remember we're human and send Rick Santorum and his family our thoughts and prayers for the wellness of their little girl.

"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience"—Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

Question : How Many Ron Paul Activists Bound To

Santorum, Romney and Gingrich on the first round? How Many R/P activists are unbound?

The answer to these questions will determine weather Ron Paul can win in a 'Brokered Convention'

We will know a lot more in a few months...

We need to force a brokered or open convention, which ever is the appropriate or viable alternative..

Brokered...

Is extremely unlikely without santy now. Only chance I feel is if Paul goes hard in Cali and Texas and wins at least one of them

He got Missouri wrong

He said Missouri sends 24 delegates to the national convention. Missouri sends 52.

Yeah

dont screw Missouri over, were a big state.

I believe at National you can

I believe at National you can abstain from voting in the first round too....so if all those bound O'romney delegates who are really ROn Paul people abstained then how can O'romney reach 50%...he can't! By the second vote we will have nominated the doc~~~

I agree - but it depends on the state

I think this is the genius of the campaign. They have studied the rules and have shown to be very good a playing by them. I am sure they have already gamed out how to monopolize on this. They will know what rules follow what states and strategically attack where they can win. I think Ron should just spend the rest of his time in Texas and California hitting the pavement HARD - just like Santorum did to win Iowa. Or hit one state in the next set of primaries and go 1000% to beat Romney. RI is small -he can blanket that state very easily between now and then. Spend the next week or two there 100% - 10 hour days hitting the ground. Get billboards up - best form of advertising. Get some GOOD commercials on air. Mention that MA and CT are always competing to be number 1 - in Taxation that is - why would you go for someone who ran one of those states? Take one state and win it - the mob is fickle and easily turned.

WTH is this

WTH is this about.....appeal...that is funny.....the RON PAUL campaign should sue every state for RIGGING all the elections against him.....what a JOKE the GOP thugs are....

Nevada GOP rifts developing ahead of convention

Continues here......

Establishment goes on...

First, they use Santorum in order to be able to completely ignore Ron Paul, while making an illusion of democratic elections-there is more than one candidate. Now they think that Ron Paul was sufficiently marginalized, and they are pulling Santorum out so that Romney can get more than 50% of delegates, and the brokered convention is avoided.

It is very hard to play their game, since they obviously will not give up the power. Probably, quite a few from the top would suffer consequencies, if the law and order would be restored. So, they do not have other option than holding the power at any cost. I can't think of other reason for what we witness in this election.

I dont think this is how it is going to go down

First - as you heard - many delegates are bound in the first round -meaning Santorum essentially keeps those delegates - they DO NOT go to Romney. In other places where the delegates are still be pushed through the process - Ron can TAKE those delegates if we have a good ground game. This has weakened Romney - not helped him. The true strength they gain is that they will push HARD for a narrative that Romney HAS won - even though it is a lie. I just don't see how this is bad for us- Romney only gains if his people show up to take open delegates -which we have seen he just doesn't have the ground game.

Our job(well those of you in states where it matters) - find out who these delegates are that are not bound and SELL them to RP - mail them a super brochure, sent them a bunch of youtube links - whatever it takes to open the eyes.

There is surely still a chance...

I am not saying that this game of the establishment cannot be reversed with hard work, but it needs to be even harder than ever. Namely, in the remaining states Santorum will not be taking Romney's delegates anymore. Establishment will have some difficulty to ignore Ron Paul now that Santorum is out, but they will make it...

Doug Wead's confirmed my understanding, since he mentions in his recent statement that the third party run is becoming one of the options for Ron Paul. I admire Ron Paul for considering the third party option despite of the fact that Rand is a republican senator. Ron Paul is really fighting for America without compromise.

Paul may get Santorum delegates!

I found this article and wanted to share http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/politicsnorthwest/2017.... Ron Paul 2012!

Hmm..too bad our supporters

Hmm..too bad our supporters generated animosity so big. Sigh. Either way am glad for the RC so we know exactly what is what. At least Ben acknowledges RP is still in the race..

Acceptable Reflections of Reality

Fantastic, objective, concise summary of the current state of the nomination race for the GOP. We need more real journalists and reporters like this man. What market is this station in?

I can honestly say after watching this video that I would have no idea who Swann favors politically. That is how it should be. It is not that journalists shouldn't have opinions, it's that they shouldn't integrate them into their reporting. This always leads to a distortion of the facts.

People might say that of course I say it's objective, because it is favorable of Ron Paul. I would tell them that the facts ARE favorable to Ron Paul and it doesn't take 'spin' to make everything fit into an acceptable reflection of reality.

The truth is in our favor. Do not underestimate the moral high ground.

Minor Correction on Ben's report

Oklahoma delegates are bound. Or more accurately, most of its delegates are bound.

nevada delegates bound

only one problem with ben's report. it is my understanding that the delegates in nevada are bound.

FRONT PAGE!!

Pronto Please!

Don't stop believing

THIS is what our RP delegates need to hear as we assemble

at our little State Convention this weekend. And KNOW that our push to send as many RP delegates to Tampa STILL counts.

Thank you, Ben Swann, for giving us the well-researched info & numbers. SO so much more encouraging than any fluff & feel-good-serving-the-elites chatting we get at LSM shows.

I love this guy

Why can't more news people tell the real story like this guy? Instead they feel compelled to tell the story as they think or hope it will shape up, not as it actually is taking place. Reality Check is a very appropriate name.

There were no Santorum

There were no Santorum delegates on the TN ballots... so I'm not sure if he ever actually got bound delegates to the state convention

"You must be frank with the world; frankness is the child of honesty and courage...Never do anything wrong to make a friend or keep one...Above all do not appear to others what you are not" - Robert E. Lee, CSA

Yep

I noticed that too. But I believe that the way it works is that the delegates who are sent still have to vote for him the first round, and then after that, their allegiance can change.
May be totally wrong on that though.

u r correct on that

on first call the delegates have to vote dedication
no winner there is a second or third or fourth call
once the delegates have voted they are free to vote conscience on all succeeding calls

so if one candidate looks like a winner they can vote for him but if there is still no clear winner another cal and those wavering can switch again

it can keep going

if sanitorium doesnt ENDORSE romney he enters the hall with his votes under his arm

he can be courted by the romney campaign

to RELEASE them to romney'
they can go where they choose

it is my fervent hope that some closed door chats are persuading sanitorium to hold till august and release to Ron Paul

SOME of his delegates might not as they will want to swim
with the school right in to the mouth of the shark

I believe MOST of them will simply step into the Paul Circle

envision this hapening and it WILL.

`

Wow.

Things could get mighty interesting if the convention makes it to the second round, assuming behind-the-doors shenanigans by dirty GOP fixers don't manipulate the vote count in Romney's favor.

It will also be bitterly amusing to watch the further verbal contortions of the media to ignore, marginalize, and write off the good doctor.

Ironic how the most sophisticated, technological advanced and well- staffed news organizations on the planet refuse to recognized that Dr. Paul is Too Legit to Quit!

Thank you for this.

The first thing I wanted to find out today is what exactly happens to Santorum's delegates? Excellent post.

This was a great delegate explanation post Santorum.
