Yesterday Rick Santorum announced his intention to drop out of the Republican GOP race but what will happen to Santorum's delegates?

Reality check explain that with the Former Pennsylvania Senator out of the race, it could open up more delegates for Ron Paul.

It is all about bound and unbound delegates which Santorum managed to gain over the previous primaries and caucuses.

Trying to find a correct figure for the delegate count is like searching for the holy grail, but Ben Swan from Reality Check does a good job trying to put it together.

They Are Definetly Scared

there is no doubt in my mind that Santorum dropping out was about nothing more than getting more support for Romney and hoarding delegates.

If he doesn't release the delegates and there isn't a 2nd vote then it would mean they have held a lot of delegates away of Ron Paul.
