How Long Will It Take Santorum To Shake His Etch A Sketch And Endorse Romney?

Not that I need further proof, but this will just about put the final nail into the coffin of Santorum's 'integrity'.

So let's see... Pick up your own Etch A Sketch again, little Ricky... You know how it works... This will be the timeline:

First (2008): "[Mitt Romney's the] clear conservative candidate" who will "stand up for the conservative principles we hold dear."

Then (2012): "Pick any other Republican in the country. [Mitt Romney] is the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama..."

Finally (?): "Mitt Romney's the best hope we have to defeat Barack Obama in the November election. We all, as a Party, need to get behind him..."

So again I ask, all you dear Daily Paulites: How long do you think it will take Santorum to fully 'fall in line', 'seal the deal', and 'do the right thing'?... A few days? A week? Just before the Pennsylvania Primary?...

Just as fast as it takes Romney to

pull out his checkbook and say, "How much do you need, Ricky, to cover those campaign debts of yours?"

To be mean is never excusable, but there is some merit in knowing that one is; the most irreparable of vices is to do evil out of stupidity. - C.B.

It's hard to argue with that!

(I'm sure that's what Santorum would say as well...)

Santorum endorsed him in 2008 - its only a matter of time

Remember - Santorum is a team player

All those tea party types going to be disappointed big time as they watch Rick roll over

No principles - other than having Big Gov't Team B (republicans) beat Big Gov't Team A (democrats)

Meanwhile Bankers/Fed/Military Industrial Complex/Major Media laugh all the way home

People better WAKE UP and realize they're being PLAYED

We all get what we payed for... If you want unreality to be reality bad enough, the pain is that much worse, and the awakening that much more rude once you start to come to your senses. The longer you wait, the more inclined you are to resist waking up to face the music at all costs... To the bitter end.

Santorums delagates

It would be good for all of us to point out to your local santorum supporters, and to santorums campaign in general especially that Ron Paul is just as "conservative" as Santorum. An endorsment would likely in most states that have bound delagates transfer those to Mitt. Bottom line-- keep Santorum in suspension or get him to endorse Paul.

But I'm sure WHOEVER got Santorum to quit, also has other...

stipulations that dear Ricky MUST ABIDE BY. And I feel quite certain that endorsing Ron Paul isn't one of them.

And besides, I'm sure many Santorum supporters only jumped on his bandwagon because people like Rush and Beck prodded them that direction, not due to any inherent actual appeal. I don't know how much his endorsement - if it were ever allowed to happen - would matter anyway to these type of folks, if Beck, et al continued to rail against Ron Paul and tow the Party Line. They'd probably just be led to believe that Santorum is now officially just a cancer to the GOP and is now an active agent working to 'divide and destroy the party', ensuring Obama's reelection.

I think it's going to be tough for him to ask his supporters

to back Romney because of the religion issue. I've spoken to people who have opinions that were shocking to me, not that I minded because I can't support Romney either, but for different reasons. I'm not sure Romney will ever get the evangelical vote - most will be looking elsewhere.
