Maybe Hatch misinterprets

what "Freedom Fighter" means. It doesn't actually mean you're supposed to fight freedom.

Awwww...don't go away mad...

just go away.

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.” - Mark Twain

"Experience"

Hatch would be the head of the Senate Finance Committee, if the circumstances align, because of his tenure in the Senate. In the Senate debates he brought this up as if it's the only reason that people should consider voting for anyone. One of his opponents then explained that the reason we would want to get rid of Hatch is BECAUSE of his experience. He's been there so long, and doesn't seem to have a great grasp of what Utah wants anymore. Let's get rid of Hatch. If it's going to be a Republican that heads the Senate Finance Committee, then who cares what state they're from. It will still be a Republican, and that's all that should matter to Hatch. He's such a power-monger.

WE are becoming the establishment

...slowly but we are.

I hope the effort continues to be to take over the G.O.P.

Most of the American system is stacked against third parties, but slowly & surely the GOP can be taken - as one shirt I saw in Fort Worth put it - "back to its roots". As Dr. Ron Paul reminds people, his philosophy is the Republicanism of Senator Robert Taft. His antipathy toward preemptive war is commensurate with General & President Dwight D. Eisenhower (...who I guess Santorum would see as "soft on terror", in spite of his WW2 service). His monetary "good as gold" policy is that of Republican President McKinley. His "keep the fruits of your own labor" extreme anti-tax position is that of the first Presidential candidate ever fielded by the Republican Party: John Frémont. Mr. Fremont campaigned for "free soil, free speech, free land, and free men!"

That doesn't sound much like Kelo v. New London, McCain / Feingold, Wickard v. Filburn, or the 16th Amendment does it???

From a Former Utah Republican Delegate

In 1982 I helped re-elect Orrin Hatch. Well, I despise him for abandoning the Republican principles he once pretended to uphold.

You did good!

He WAS a good Senator. No shame in supporting someone WHILE they're doing good. I've read his writings on federalism, and he WAS once upon a time right with Dr. Paul on the need for decentralization and respect for federalism.

If he's gone astray, time to dump him. He went, he served, and now he needs to go to Salt Lake and retire!

it's not his seat

thats the problem with these career politicians, they think it's their seat, it's not, it's the people's seat.

Lights On - He's Gone

Orin Hatch used to be a decent man - like, back in the 80's/90's.

Now, looking at his picture in the link - there's no light in his eyes anymore, he looks like a dead man. Another of the many who sold their souls to the dark side of politics for money and power.

It's a very sad commentary on a man - who lost his way and has embraced greed, power-mongering, tyranny.

They are to be pitied.

The price of freedom is eternal vigilance. ~Thomas Jefferson

“It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie...the greatest enemy of the State.” ~Joseph Goebbels

excellent writing

Direct and to the point. I couldn't agree more.

OK, Now Let's Translate this into English

English Translation Paragraph #1: Hatch is “doggone offended” by the activists and voters standing between him and his reins on power, describing them as “People who want to be free, and that's radical.”

English Translation Paragraph #4: “These are people who no longer want to be slaves and I’m doggone offended by it,” he said.

English Translation Paragraph #6: “I despise these freedom seeking people,” Hatch added, “and I’m not the guy you come in and dump on without getting punched in the mouth.”

(By the way, just to be clear on this, it is your mouth he'd like to punch)

what an arrogant-sounding . . .

man.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

Down the Hatch, goes Hatch!

Don't forget to take out the Hatch.

Hatch: FISA critics are like those 'wear tin foil hats'

Hatch on "Protect American Act": "Painting this type of picture only feeds the delusion of those wear tin foil hats around their house & think that 911 was an inside job."

Orrin Hatch Attempts to Explain Away His 16 Debt Ceiling Votes YouTube townhall. His 17 budget increases totalded $7.6 Trillion. Gone with the wind. Very brief apology, sort of. At least he admits the question excoriating him was good.

I despise

Orin Hatch, I was the only one in my Caucus meeting against him.
He voted for NDAA
he has raised voted to raise the debt limit like 15 times

Mike Lee is a good example what we want.

Mike Lee

endorsed romney.. he's a traitor

Live free or DIE!

Mike Lee is a great asset

I was also disappointed when I heard this news... but Mike Lee is one of the only Senators to stand by Rand Paul's budget and publicly endorse it. He was one of only four senators to stand with Rand and promote an amendment to the Defense Authorization bill that would hasten the end of America’s longest war. He was also the ONLY one to team up with Rand and block a small business bill until the Senate voted on the Libya issue.

Mike Lee and Rand Paul are basically teaming up on everything and are fighting against the establishment in lockstep. Why in the world would you try to throw out a senator who is actually with us on everything?? Do you know how amazing it is that we have Mike Lee with us on almost everything? Dan Liljenquist is the one we want to replace Orrin Hatch, and he endorsed Romney. I would argue that this is a minor offense. Especially for a Utahn, where Romney is immensely respected for what he did with the Olympics.

You guys are throwing out everything that Mike Lee actually DOES... those things that will make a difference... which set he apart from the establishment. You are then condemning him for an endorsement (albeit it a poor one). Talk about an irrational knee jerk reaction. You are living in a dream world if you think voting out Mike Lee would get us a clone of Ron Paul. I think he is a great asset in the liberty movement.

Sure is

no second chances for him either, we have to make sure we show Mike Lee the door, he bitch slapped us all with his Romney endorsement.

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must. like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.-Thomas Paine

The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!

Ohh wow

I did not know Lee endorsed romney....He was one of the people who voted against NDAA and then endorses romney who said he would have voted for the NDAA....WTH?

I thought Lee endorsed . . .

someone besides Dr. Paul.

they're on the run!

How do we get more of these clown sovereigns out of office? California needs to revolt!

Don't Hatch your egg before the chicken.

OH HE DESPISES US DOES HE?

We despise you too Orrin.

Some see things as they are and say why,but i dream things that never were and say why not. Robert F. Kennedy

The feeling is mutual.

Talk about entitlements. I'm sick to death of these people thinking they are entitled to re-election while they fill their pockets and turn their noses up at the people.

So who will be his replacement?

So far I've read about both Dan Liljenquist and Chris Herrod. Who is the best? Please come together and support the best one and throw Hatch out!

http://www.herrod2012.com/issues

Chris Herrod by far

Dan's a good guy, but Chis Herrod has a much more conservative voting record, he's a much more humble statesmen-like candidate, and his biggest concern is the Deficit.

And in a townhouse meeting I pretty much got him to endorse Rand's budget proposal (he didn't do it outright, but when I asked about the Paul Ryan and the Rand Paul plans he said we need to balance the budget in the next few years, 2040 is way to late).

@ AZJoe - Very Orringninal...

Keep the pressure on, great to see the fruits of our labors. Listen to this guy, what a hypocrite, does he know what his own party platform says?

Don’t count your eggs before

Don’t count your eggs before the Hatch Orrin. OrrIN will soon be OrrOUT – sent down the Hatch. Better bury the Hatchet Orrin, or else be buried. Orrin is too well done, charred and seared to tasteless cinder, and you can’t Hatch a chicken from a fried egg. So it is past time to Hatch Orrin’s replacement.

Lat time I looked it was the

Lat time I looked it was the people of Utah's seat not Orrin Hatch's.

I've called him...

...emailed him, wrote on his Facebook page. If I knew his twitter handle he would be hearing from me that way. What an embarrassment to have representing our state.
