Doug Wead: Ron Paul to Obama and Romney: “Jerusalem is the capital of Israel”

News is now leaking out about a private meeting between evangelical leaders and presidential candidate Ron Paul which took place last Wednesday night. The leaders asked Dr. Paul about an Executive Order moving the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. “The real issue here is not what America wants but what Israel wants. We have no right to chose their capital,” Dr. Paul said, “If they say it is Jerusalem, then it is Jerusalem.” (cont'd)

"Normal Americans" meaning uneducated...

@libertyfirst: To say Mike, Dick, George, Robert, and Henry, all of the male sex are no longer part of the male group because Chanan likes to exercise he individual liberty to exclusively call himself male and excludes the other males from his definition for the meaning of male does not make it accurate. Individual preference does not make something accurate. Group preference does not make something accurate. To say that Semites now only refers to the Jewish people, excluding the many other non-Jewish Semitic people is like saying all people with oriental features are Chinese, there are no Japanese, Koreans, and Vietnamese--at one time the Chinese writing was the common bond. As to what the American public understands, they know what the "Simon says" television "educate" them on. It's the same television-media that's blacking out Ron Paul. If the general American public knew the "real truth" and not blinded by false religions, this country would not be in the state it is in now. If "individual liberty" was the intent then they should have exercise that liberty and create a brand new word as representative of its one group. To make non-existing all the existing groups of people is 101 psychology: play with words to shape the mind. Your argument is as weak as it is inaccurate.

I say: if you can't make it better, don't make it worst!

Well said, my friend.

The charge of anti-Semitism

The charge of anti-Semitism is overused and misused. Far too often it substitutes for a reasoned argument about serious conflicts.

Let's Make A Deal Israellll

The U.S. will stay out of YOUR business and you can stay out of OURS?

2) The Israeli Spy Ring, in which hundreds of Israeli spies were caught in our borders around 2001 and continue to this day. Some posing as art students, setting up shell companies, or as exchange students and movers.

3) PNAC players still abound and create havoc.

4) Will Israel continue to be the funnel for communications files and archives for many U.S. IT and Communications companies.

5) Stay out our Congress.

6) The Office of Special plans which was infiltrated by Israeli sympathizers up to and during the Iraq War.

7) Officially state that the U.S. has NO contractual or Treaty agreements or Protection Clauses with Israel.

I have no problem with staying out of Israel's business. But I disagree with the notion that WE are Israel's puppet master.

Israel does what it wants and usually wears the pants in this relationship and the use of the term "Anti Semite" is so strong that even Ron Paul knows not to call out Israel...he's smarter than that (at this stage)

Israel and Zionists can be tied to so much that has gone awry in the U.S. in the war and propaganda department.

Who needs em? We don't. They're no 'friends" of ours and when they start acting like friends we should treat them as friends. But till then and BY THE EVIDENCE they are anything but...

I love Ron Paul and I understand he takes the diplomatic approach to this but sooner or later, especially if he takes office, he's going to have to address the Sociopaths in the Israeli Government.

Did you all catch Romney's announcement

of his Foreign Policy and National Security Advisory Team? AIPAC is doing backflipflops...Romney - "I am deeply honored to have the counsel of this extraordinary group of diplomats, experts and statesmen. Their remarkable experience, wisdom and depth of knowledge will be critical to ensuring that the 21st Century is another American Century".

RP R3VOLution

AIPAC is funded by Pentagon & trade unions at Boeing who get 50% of foreign aid money. Regular Jews do not donate to AIPAC. Israel cannot donate by law.

Your other bull is obvious - since NATO does not give membership to Israel and Israel has no say in UN & IMF, NEW WORLD ORDER (Alex Jones is fighting against) is against Israel. Foreign aid only grows local Israeli socialists. CIA harvests all Israeli inventions, does not allow Israel to sell its technologies to China & Russia while USA itself is selling weapons to Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Pakistan, Kuwait, Qatar, etc. etc.

Not all Israel is Israel. Only those chosen out of Israel are true Israelites, and all these believe on the Christ, Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of the living God.

When the Apostles brought...

Nathanael to meet Jesus, He said, "Behold, here is a true Israelite, one in whom there is no guile."

talk like a typical central planner, pushing your agenda through our throats. Some used to claim Jews killed Jesus (like it is possible to kill god or at least his third without his consent.) Later understanding their own idiotic accusation, some switched to claiming that true Jews are Christians.

Sounds like a desperation to me since mother of Jesus and her legal husband were practicing exactly the same Jewish religious rituals that Jews practice today.

The UN doesn't justify Israel. God does.

I'm Israeli. I'm Jewish. I donate to all moneybombs. I live here not because the UN declared it. I really wish they didn't so we couldn't use that excuse. I support leaving the UN, for both America and Israel. I live here because God gave it to me and my family a long, long time ago. It's my private property. You don't have to agree of course. Your opinion is irrelevant, because I can protect myself now.

You guys were founded in 1776 and without Paul or someone like him, doesn't look like you'll last much longer quite frankly. We were founded 3,332 years ago last week. We've got much more staying power. Hope all you Jews on the DP had a happy Passover! And I really do wish the best to all you Americans, which is why I donate and voted RP. I am technically a citizen of America, but would revoke it if asked to.

ummmmmmmm sorry but Isreal in

ummmmmmmm sorry but Isreal in its disobedence to God has been established and then taken away by Gods hand many times. The establishemnt of Isreal right now is against Gods will. Isreal is to be established again when Christ returns.

I suggest you read the book of revelations. Isreal will be invaded and divided long before the US is.. Yes we might go broke and have tremendous problems which will aid Isreals enemies in invading her, but I think those of you who call yourselves Jews and are not are going to have a very hard time. With out the US supporting you you won't last long.
Revelation chapter 2 verse 9.

Not Asleep -

I am who I say I am. Google Rafi Ron Paul. See what you come up with. I don't want you to fight my wars. I want to fight them alone. I don't need America's help, and I don't like AIPAC and think it should be disbanded. Never wanted help, still don't. Go your own way, I'll go mine.

Pax Libertas -

The God that created the universe gave me Israel. God doesn't have a beard. But he did carve the tablets and gave them to my grandparents. And he also gave me Israel, so it's mine. That's it, end of discussion. He kicked me out a few times, yes, and promised I'd come back. Now I'm back. Maybe God will kick me out again. If He does, so be it. But the land is always mine. You can complain all you want, and obviously it's up to me to defend my own country, without your help. Don't need it, don't want it. That's why I voted for Ron Paul.

yes, israel is land of jewish nation. i am not israeli, but totally pro Ron Paul and pro Israel. been needing to hear from people like you. am tired of the Israel bashing. Ron paul - as always- is right, embassy to jerusalem now.

If there was a Romney & Paul teamup, AIPAC would be disbanded..

One thing you wouldn't have to worry about any longer.
Israel's sovereignty would not be meddled with again.

President Paul, with or without Mitt Romney would dissolve the AIPAC agreement by terminating the American Israel Free Trade act. All foreign aid to Egypt DS, AIPAC, Saudi XS etc would be cut & cease.

For then, any aid to Israel or Saudi Arabia would come through charities.
So you would never have to worry of them again. They'd be done with their meddling.

That is fine. I just imagine all the desperate cries from UK, French, Italy, Spain, etc when their banks go under without our TRILLIONS. I bet they will blame Jews of Austrian school of economics that allowed poor European working people, who like equality & justice via trade unions, to go under and Chinese taking over.

You have pedophiles...and other criminals...

I know you're not who you pose to be, but I'll play along:

What you're good at is false-flag propaganda, China, for one, is older than yours. You're right about not lasting much longer because the likes of you will pull the United States into Israel's war against Iran and the American people will protest and not go along and that is why President Puppet Obama on March 16, 2012, signed Executive Order 13603, the National Defense Resources Preparedness law which pretty much said the gov't could take whatever they deemed necessary from anyone for their use, BUT most importantly it lays the ground work for the *draft* BECAUSE us Americans don't want to fight Israel's friggin wars anymore. It's a half baked lie that the wars are all about oil; it's the anti-Americans in control of our gov't that is sending Americans to die for Israel. Iraq and Afghanistan is on either side of Iran! The plan was to take the territory on either side of Iran and then squeeze in from both sides--Dah, who is hogged-out on getting Iran? The cursed occupied land called Israel. Nineleven was a joint U.S., Israeli, and Saudi plot to get us into the wars. The traitors in the White House, anti-American Jews (not all Jews are anti-American) wrote the war plans and help staged the plot. Look what the *gov't* did to the American Indians, it was genocide. Those who think this gov't is incapable of killing 3k innocent people for the grand master plan should live in the sewers because they wouldn't know the difference between here and there. You could add this to your b.s. god created you list. There is no god--only stupid people who think they are.

Pedophiles refer to the likes of Woody Allen and Roman Polanski both disgusting immoral things supported by the Jewish movie community. The problem is and forever denial and the belief that your kind is above the rules of human laws--you are not of the god you claim to be from--god is there and it put you here with the rest of us. To be with god you need to be dead, make your claim then, for now you deal with the rest of the human race.

I say: if you can't make it better, don't make it worst!

Which God 'gave' you the land?

The Burning Bush? The Bearded Giant? The thing that engraved stone tablets with letters?

Your got that notion from a BOOK. A book written by wandering nomads thousands of years ago.

How come we haven't heard from "God" in thousands of years on the matter? Because right now would be a more politically and socially expedient time compared to the Desert in 3000-4000 B.C.

Answer: He didn't exist in the first place.

Made up stories which centralize around Judaic and Abrahamic dogma and rituals. Of course "your people" came out on top of that history. You wrote it.

It is pathetic that god needs a man to tell others of its existence and supreme powers. No book or tablet taught me how to breathe when I was born; all humans knew how to breathe, no one started wars due to disagreement of this fact--if god was smart, it should have made itself known to us instinctively and there would be a whole lot of peace in the world and lots of questions answered. Made-man god is as useful to the people who created it. I've never heard of a god who is on the opponent's side.

I say: if you can't make it better, don't make it worst!

I thought the land belonged to God...

and those who inhabit it live there at God's pleasure. Sometimes God took the control of the Promised Land away from the Jews because they failed to live by his covenant. Possession of the land always had conditions attached to it.

I am with Dr Paul on this

We need to stop meddling, get out of the way and let them solve it. We can't afford it and don't have time anyway. We have our own issues to deal with. Our own house is in disarray, how can we preach to anyone else about theirs?

The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire. - Heinlein

Tel Aviv is the nicer city..

Tel Aviv is the nicer city.. by FAR! If I was an embassy-worker that would be the real issue to me.

How many embassies are in Tel Aviv?

Would the Jewish section of Jerusalem hold them all if they were to re-locate there from Tel Aviv?

Minnesota Mary

Go to Jerusalem to see what

it is really like, or at least look at google earth. You keep harping on the sections. The sections are in the old city. Most of Jerusalem is new and is far larger than the old city. The old city is like the little, historic district that some cities have, that is surrounded by the huge newer part of the city. Jerusalem certainly would hold all of the embassies.

I have no idea, a lot I

I have no idea, a lot I imagine.

This is a reply to 'Re: Correct me if I'm wrong'

Sorry, sir you have bought into the disinformational myth sold by their control of the media. The Jews took control of the land of Palestine by way of terrorism, and were essentially the modern founder of this tactic now accredited to the Islamic faith. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDM2wFeRPHg&feature=related
They also used genocidal act called the NAKBA to force the Palestinian people from their land. They basically used the same tactics as the Nazi's to create their supremist Jewish state. I know both Christian and Muslim Palistinians who have given their personal experiences from the NAKBA, which prove this fact. Here, is an interview to give a perspective. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vd2fdoJxCcw
Dr Paul's answer on the capital of Israel is a Constitutional noninterventionist answer. If he was asked the same question about the Palestinians, he would give the same answer, 'if they claim this city of Jerusalem as their capital, then so beit'. He's running for President, not to be a religous leader, so he gives his political answer based on the Constitution. Basically, his political belief is, if they want to fight over this, that's their problem not ours, and he isn't going to take sides, but will provide arbitration if asked.

Correct me if I'm wrong,

but aren't embassies considered "sovereign" when in other countries? So no matter where our embassy is located in Palestinian territory, WE are ALSO occupiers of Palestine right next to the false Israeli regime. That's why Ron Paul is wrong on this... Are we getting the whole story?

"Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost." -John Quincy Adams

Re: Correct me if I'm wrong,

Yes, you are wrong. Israel is a sovereign nation. Their government is duly elected, whether or not you like it. Israel is not "Palestinian territory." Remember, they won a couple of wars to gain what they have. If we have an embassy in a sovereign Palestinian area, we will be there at their request, and therefore not considered occupiers.

If you were trying to be sarcastic, you didn't make yourself clear enough. If you weren't, you are only working against Paul, and the rest of our movement, as non-recognition of any sovereign nation who's policies you disagree with is the very thing we are calling for our government to quit in all it's foreign relations (end blowback policies). We are not to be taking sides in other nations' internal politics, but to be fostering goodwill.
