My experience at MittRomneyCentral.comSubmitted by Paulbot2012 on Sun, 04/15/2012 - 00:37
So, I saw a post on here about infiltrating the Mitt Romney fan sites, and decided to give it a try. I trolled on over to mittromneycentral.com. Checking out the latest post, I couldn't help but roll my eyes.
So a country singer endorses Mitt Romney, because said country singer is a "huge supporter of the NRA". Seeing the utter hypocrisy in this, I couldn't help but post the comment (which will never see the light of day due to the fact that the site owners moderate):
"Someone should tell this Trace Adkins (whoever he is), that Romney has a D- gun rights rating, because it appears Trace (what a name!) thinks that all GOP candidates have to automatically support gun rights. Romney banned assault weapons in MA while governor, and raised “fees” big time on gun owners, not very gun friendly of him."
Feeling satisfied that I made my point loud and clear, I decided to hit up their "chatbox" for a few minutes. I sat their, watching the stupidity unfold, as users discussed views on Mitt's looks, on which Fox News or CNN anchor they liked best, how silly us Paulbots are to think we can beat Mitt. One said "Newt or Paul would need to win like 90% of the remaining delegates to beat Mitt!" (paraphrasing of course).
Waiting for my chance to insert myself into the conversation, a moderator mentioned the gun meeting they were covering today. BINGO! I inserted. "@karenk I don't see how you can support Mitt Romney & the 2nd amendment at the same time". karenk responded to this legitimate question with the statement: "I am moderator, so you know what that means". I said "you get to censor me right?".
karenk then informed me that she had been watching me for quite awhile to which I responded "I've been on here for 15 mins, if that is quite awhile to you, you probably have ADD".
I inserted a few more bits about Romney raising fees and banning assault weapons in MA, since I knew my comment was toast. After that I could no longer post because I had been banned. One legitimate Romney user told them not to censor me... "Will from NJ" was apparently prepared to have a real debate, and not just discuss how well Mitt combs his hair, but alas, karenk had already abused her powers of censorship.
I was just about to type that I was hedging on whether or not to vote for Romney, and was hoping to have the issue cleared up for me... Dang, I should have been more subtle.
Well, they logged my IP, so the next time it changes (since it is dynamic) I will give it another go, and try to be more stealth this time.
The one thing I will say is though, these Romney folks have no idea what the true delegate count is, one of them even asked how to become a delegate, and was under the impression that only special people could become one. They think Ron has 30 total delegates and Mitt is soon to have over 800. They are living in an utter fantasy land that goes beyond even the realm of the MSM.
So, that said, if you troll these guys, don't enlighten them to the delegate situation, they will wise up and become more determined to become "special people" so they can be delegates. The best COA right now is to let them think they are winning this thing handily, and keep the voter and delegate turnout low, low, low in upcoming primaries.
I think that is why Ron and the campaign try not to rub the delegate count in the MSM's faces. We say it ourselves. This REVOLUTION will not be televised. We won't win the hearts and minds of the zombies watching the glow box. Let's stay below the radar, and shock the crap out of these Rombots at the convention.
My recommendation for anyone who trolls this site, enjoy the chat, make them feel like you are one of them, and gently try to ease them into a situation where they agree with Dr. Paul's stances, and then spring on them before the moderators, who are ignorant as all hell, have a chance to ban you. Enjoy!
