It's Working! Ron Paul Wins Minnesota, Colorado Delegates to Republican National Convention

2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul achieved consequential delegate wins in Colorado and Minnesota today, affirming his delegate-attainment strategy and auguring a prominent role for Paul at the Republican National Convention in Tampa.

In Minnesota, Ron Paul supporters swept the three district conventions that occurred today, winning nine of nine delegates to the national convention. Minnesota is set to hold more such conventions next week.

In Colorado, supporters of the 12-term Congressman from Texas won 12 delegates and 13 alternate delegates. Paul’s state operation is confident that it can win over more of the Rick Santorum delegates to its side who were elected on a combined Paul-Santorum slate. The Paul-Santorum coalition’s combined delegate total is 20—more than establishment candidate Mitt Romney's estimated 16. In addition, the Paul-Santorum coalition denied Romney delegates all the committee spots within the Colorado National Delegation. Two Ron Paul supporters will serve on the Rules Committee and the Paul coalition dethroned known Romney supporter and Colorado State Party Chairman Ryan Call from his position as Delegation Chairman.

First post

My first post was meant to be a question, I know I wouldn't put it past Romney to try to "fool" us.
I'm just trying to make sure nothing slips throigh the cracks. One of the Colorado delegates said this in aa video and as the rules are complicated I came here to see if it needs to be looked into. Romney would kill a puppy to get an extra vote.

Yay Ron Paul!!!!
Freeeeeeedom calls!!

So all of the delegates that were placed on the slate for Ron Paul were unbound delegates. This doesn't help us until after the first round as they won't have a say on the first go around. Also I do not believe Ron Paul will win the plurality in Colorado as he has ZERO pledged delegates. Therefor, their voice won't be heard until round two.
We need to be getting pledged delegates on the unity slates and not rely on the unbound delegates. As per the GOP rules, I believe the state chair chooses where the unbound delegates vote in round one.
Something Is wrong with this picture.... And I sure hope I'm wrong, but this should be looked into to make sure we can take the first round, or most likely hold strong and win in round 2 or 3.
Won't the paul delegates have to "abstain" their vote during round one?

Yay Ron Paul!!!!
Freeeeeeedom calls!!

Unbound is what we want or did you not get the memo?

Unbound delegates who are FOR Ron Paul will vote for him on the first round.

It's bound delegates that are tougher to acquire. Where possible, we try to get actual Ron Paul supporters chosen, even though they may be bound to someone else round 1.

It seems you have it backwards.

Regardless, the point is to have the actual delegates chosen to be Ron Paul supporters.

This is what is happening.

Complete and utter rubbish

When pressed for details on another thread making the same claims, he linked to an animation index on you tube. His + votes? probably from the two new trolls. Heads up!

They might not be pledged

but they could be committed to liberty.

we won cd 1 fri night in a sweep with our unity slate. we could of won without the unity slate on friday in cd1 but there is a bigger pic to win in tampa:)

Ron Paul 2016

Eagle County for Ron Paul

Great job to the Eagle County Delegates and alternates who were able to gain over 50% of our county's delegates! We only started organizing on December 10th and pulled off a victory in our county. Special thanks to John, Todd and Cory from the campaign who helped guide us. It was great to stand at the podium on stage and use my fifteen seconds of fame to start the loud and proud chant....PRESIDENT PAUL...PRESIDENT PAUL....PRESIDENT PAUL!!!!!
What a great experience meeting liberty minded people from around the great state of Colorado!

Great Job Colorado!

Great News!

Hopefully the Santorum delegates come over. I can't see them going to Romney.

Completely agree...why would

Completely agree...why would they join Romney? Santorum delegates have nothing in common with Mitt Romney. They're not going to vote for a pro-choice Mormon.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

How many

states does Ron Paul have majority of delegates ?
what states are they?

The more important question is...

Where will Ron Paul have a plurality of delegates?

If Dr. Paul achieves a plurality of delegates (more than any other single candidate) in 5 states, then he will be eligible to have his name placed in nomination at the National Convention. I think the prospects for this are good. Please see my analysis of this issue here:

A Constitutional, Christian conservative who voted for Ron and stands with Rand
