If Ron drops out our delegates can all get behind Rod Class - Rod Class has been fighting just as long as Ron Paul - just in different trenches. Who else you got? Gary Johnson? Libertarian party? I have given almost the max I can. If we add in the $$ given to the Super Pac, CFL, and the RP Brochures I have exceeded that amount.
I am left with the following choice because, I have limited funds. I can use what I have to protect the my family by securing more land and provisions or I can donate to RP in hopes of winning a few more delegates.
Has the campaign released or promised to release an official delegate count? What is the cost delegate ratio thus far? What will be the benefit of winning 100, 200, 500 more delegates if Romney secures 1500 and/or the support of Santorum? I have not heard these relevant questions answered. They may have been answered adequately, but I have not heard it.

For my wife, she does not like giving money partly because of the negative ads. I am still going to ask her and continue our discussion, which I think is a good one. Delegates are important, though. The Ron Paul delegates influence the other delegates in similar ways that we influence our family and friends. Delegates should be more politically aware and these will be the ones that do the hard work. Also, Romney has not secured the delegates he needs. Another thing that I have noticed that encourages me is that Ron Paul seems very confident. As a supporter, I have a feeling of desperation, but I have a deep suspicion that this movement is larger than one election. In this way, whatever money we give is given as an encouragement to others and to continue the momentum that we need to motivate ourselves to have discussions with friends and family. It is tedious work, but more appropriate topic of conversation if their is a presidential race going on and Ron Paul is running. People are supposed to consider who to vote for and engage in conversation to influence others so this is the time we need to shine. I am learning some interpersonal skills although I feel like a very slow learner.

The economy is very different now than back then, even the other candidates had trouble raising public funds and rely on big money donators.
RP campaign should be handing out info about upcoming Money Bombs and Donations at events, and RP envelopes to mail in donations by check, maybe they will give them to a friend if they don't use them.
We could leave them in grocery stores on Magazine racks. Put stickers on magazine covers.. I have done this before. If stuck on right it looks like it belongs there - or inside the mag.
A little non-violent civil disobedience, this is a revolution, is it not?

It is a marathon. We did our work as delegates (cost: $100 for CD & State) but there are a lot of miles ahead. We need to keep the pace. Count on my donation tonight.
But I understand, many are tapped out and it is tax season. Many have been writing checks. There is a financial re-bound period from that wonderful experience.
Does anyone know how much cash the campaign has on-hand?

Considering that last week was an incredible week for Dr. Paul, and there is actually a chance at victory if the campaign has enough funding to do what they need to do, I think we should do our absolute best to meet the $2.5 million request.

But again...it was good for Ron Paul...but at the expense of Santorum and Gingrich...not Romney. The good news was Colorado...but the reality is, Romney OUTPERFORMED in Colorado. He will likely get 16 delegates which is close to 45% of the delegates...in a state where he only get 35% of the vote. So, as far as the <1144 plan goes, it was a bad week for everybody but Romney. The media delegate count in this case is LOWER than his real count.
It just is a little disturbing to see everyone claiming a huge victory over hte weekend when Romney got more than he was supposed to. It is as if the plan (<1144) has changed for some reason when that is still the ONLY way to keep Romney from being nominated.
Look at it this way...if Romney continues to get 40-50% in all the state conventions for past states that are awarding delegates now, and you combine that with his likely performance in the upcoming primaries, he easily sails past 1144. Counting just bound delegates he has already gotten and will get in the next two months and the super delegates Romney is basically around 1140 already. So any delegate he picks up from the early states that didn't bind their delegates yet (or won't at all) is basically insurance.
Looking at it that way, this was not a good week for Ron Paul. Except to come in second and have more power at the Convention.

We are individuals with jobs and kids and bills.
I'm really proud of all the people here who have put their money where their mouth is.
Seems every money bomb there are threads like this, but eventually we give Dr. Paul what he needs. Even if we have to wait until the "next paycheck".
Maybe this type of thread motivates people to give, but my gut says browbeating doesn't work.

Hate to say this, but it includes my own spouse, inlaws, my own blood family and many people I(and friends) met at the state capitol in Madison, WI just two days ago. I know you are trying to rally the troops, which is awesome but your rah rah speech lacks that all important motivational component . Not to mention money bombs are no longer single day events. Apathy still has it's hold on people. They don't believe something like that will ever happen. What they fail to realize is that even though they can sate the economy is bad and see it, they've no understanding of just how bad it's going to get.
