Rick Santorum declines to endorse Mitt Romney

So ah...what could this mean?

Rick Santorum declines to endorse Mitt Romney:

Hold the vision people:

Ol Rick does the last best thing he could ever do to leave his everlasting legacy in this election. He endorses Ron Paul and asks all his delegates to do the same.

Can you imagine one man could make this kind of historical difference and then go on to become the hero that would go down in history as the one man that saved America!

Pray for him to do this.

My Theory...

is: Santorum "suspended" his campaign just long enough to not be exposed by a HUGH loss in his home state of PA.

After the PA primary, he'll reenter the race (like McCain did) and pick up where he left off.
His reasoning: No REAL conservatives emerging to challenge Romney, so I'm back in it to win it. Hurts RP and hurts Romney too, but he'll concede at the RNC to Romney in the end - to ensure that RP doesn't get the nom.

I didn't hear Santorum

I didn't hear Santorum endorse Paul ?

I didn't hear Santorum not endorse Ron Paul either so that is a good thing . The truth of the matter is that voters thus far in this 2012 Primary/Caucus season, like Santorum voters didn't vote for Romney . I don't think that Santorum supporters will vote for Romney once Santorum left the race . I , a Ron Paul supporter will vote for Dr. Paul , or no one . Now , will Santorum voters do likewise ?

Santorum is out of money...

so can't campaign anymore. However, if it goes to a brokered convention, it's anybodies game and he can jump back in.

It has nothing ...

to do with Paul. He is trying to save face in hypocracy. Aparrently his request to be secretary of defense and morals in the romney admin didnt fly.

Can Rick redeam himself?

Everybody has made mistakes in their life. Maybe Rick is now remorseful and actually wants to restore our once great nation for the benefit of his siblings!

Once can hope, and I always look to the positive.

Rick, if you fully endorse Ron Paul and make it public, I will have tremendous respect for your decision!

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

We need to win support

We need to win the support of Rick Santorum supporters. Please refrain from calling them lunatics or anything else that is negative. This will turn them off and they will ignore Paul's true message. Just as the government is supposed to represent the people. The people need to represent Paul, and Paul wouldn't call supporters of other candidates lunatics.

Well Said

Vote your conscience

I am glad he said that, because I believe people should readdress the candidates and find out which of the remaining will best ease their conscience. He meant "Vote Santorum", but that isn't what will happen if people TRULY vote their conscience.

Everything is done for a reason. It's all planned.

Everything the controlling elites do is for a reason. There is no way....NO WAY Santorum endorses Ron Paul. If.....I repeat if....you believe that they ( the elites ) want Obama to be reelected, then Romney is the perfect candidate. Actually, so is Gingrich and so is Santorum. In fact, every Republican presidential candidate was a lock in for the establishment except Dr. Paul. Romney is a sure bet for the mega bankers who back him along with Obama. So it really doesnt matter who wins to them. Obama will just drive the car towards the cliff at a 100 MPH, while Romney will drive it 75 MPH.

In my opinion, Gingrich and Santorum were only staying in the race so that there could be no clear distiction between Romney and an anti Romney ( Ron Paul ). If it were just Dr. Paul and Mittens in all those debates, the establishment would have gone into freak mode when Dr. Paul took the nation by storm.

The controlling elite always plan ahead. They probably think they have set up Santorum for a 2016 run once Obama wins and the country spirals down hill. Santorum, the "Real Conservative" will save us in 2016. If not, there will be a plethera of prechosen candidates like Rubio who will step in.

Do you see the two party paradigm???

PS. For the sheep who did vote for Santorum, I will gladly take their temporary anti- Romney vote / delegate team up with Ron Paul. It wont last for long though. My only hope is the religous right takes to Ron Paul. But, they will follow their religious leaders who are also under the control ( whether they know it or not ) of the elites.

100% correct!

bump

You're probably right on

You're probably right on everything, except Obama/Romney/GoldmanSachs will all be driving 100MPH with no brakes. Romney is absolutely no better.

Truthbearer, consider this...

Ron Paul doesn't need the endorsement from a forked tongued liar like Santorum.

Santorum has done all we expect him to do in that he quit...just days after he vowed to go all the way.

He even lied about his fundraising so people believed he would continue. Now he's demanding supporters clean-up him mess from mis-management of campaign funds.

Devils like Santorum rip the hearts out of people who want to venture into supporting people who run for office.

They give their money, time and energy only to be betrayed and even embarrassed.

Whether intentional or not, Rick gave Mitt some cover

A lot of caucuses and primaries would have shown more favorably for Paul if Santorum hadn't pretended to be a conservative. That he convinced so many "evangelicals" that his pontifications deserved their support does not speak well of these folks standards of biblical convictions, nor even Bible literacy. They simply wanted to believe what sounded or felt right at the time, no matter what his record proved otherwise.

Gingrich has served as Romney's "left" flank coverage, while Santorum, his "right"; but Dr. Paul is still fixed on his target in the center; the restoration of the heart and soul of true constitutional conservatism. Romney has never had it, and likely, never will.

The party needed someone like Rick, and he served their purposes for the time that he could; but it was easy to expect that his ideas just wouldn't sell outside of the party's echo-chamber.

Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have the exact measure of the injustice and wrong which will be imposed on them. - Frederick Douglass

Weird question.

But don't they personally get to keep any unused money raised for their campaign?

No

Although I doubt that's a problem. Most of these campaigns end in debt, and may have to keep raising money long after the election to pay them off.

I believe they can give any excesses to another campaign or to charity, but you can check it out at the FEC. (State laws vary, but I think these come under the feds.)

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

Thanks.

I was misinformed. Always great to have all of you!

I would suggest

a slight modification to your (well made point). We DO NEED Santorum SUPPORTERS to help stop Romney in the first round at the RNC.

We don't really WANT Santorum himself to endorse RP, but if that's what it takes to win the Nom, then so be it.

Santorum supporters can (and should) easily be Ron Paul supporters, and that's the bottom line.

"Government is the entertainment division of the military-industrial complex". - Frank Zappa

from what I've seen/heard Santorum supporters cannot and will

not vote for Romney - Paul will get a lot of his supporters by default.

If they're not foolish enough

If they're not foolish enough to go to Gingrich that is, lets hope they are not.

All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent. -Thomas Jefferson

It's Horrible to Me

How these people seem to capitalize on family tragedies. And, nobody feeds a little child in the background on a national conference call, unless they expect, and in his case, want the child to be heard. I hate to say it, but I think they use their children like props in a play. Dr. Paul nailed it when he called him a "fake".

Fed-Up

Santorum is positioning himself to be the conservative GOP

nomination 2016. He want to be the conservative alternative when the GOP hates Romney for losing against Obama.
He knows that there is more coverage on him now so he cant endorse Romney(as he did in the past already) as that would haunt him in the years to come.
But he wont endorse Paul cause this would destroy his nomination 2016 as the whole establishment and the people behind the curtain pulling the strings hate Paul.

He is a really good polititan.(And I dont mean that positive)

It's important to note

that very few people actually voted FOR Santorum.
Most voted for the one that they were TOLD to vote for by their corrupted religious leaders, and the corrupt talk-show media.

This was more of a display of the power of the combined forces of the pseudo-religious right, than anything else.
Anyone could have been the recipient of that. The fact that it was Santorum was merely his being the one who was selected by the Pharisees. Anyone else could fill his role as their pawn just as easily. And next time, someone else may be their selection.

What we saw there was the combined strength of the factions of the apostate church focused on telling all their members who to vote for.
The first, and most obvious example of that was in Iowa with the "Santorum surge" battling it out with the Romney criminals for who could steal it from RP and the people. Repeated again in South Carolina, except with Gingrich as their other potential selection, until they finally settled on Santorum as their decision later on.

We see the same thing with the unions on the side of the Democrats.
The unions tell them who to vote for, and they do it. The Democrats have voted like this forever, and they don't seem to mind, because they are collectivists who think in terms of being part of a mob.

The main problem is that not enough people in this country can think for themselves. Or even think at all, apparently.

It'a a battle of "movements".
Our movement is one too. Except we think for ourselves, and don't need to be told who to vote for by somebody else. Our constituency serves the Constitution, and doesn't take orders from some corrupt special interest group groping for power.

Romney's movement is the entrenched GOP hard-line criminals. And there are plenty of them in the power positions, and they can twist the results enough to appear as if they have won, and we've seen this in various states. Now the mainstream GOP is trying to just trumpet their assumption of "victory" even before it happens. Appearance over substance.

I think this is crazy!

Most of these comments have me wondering what you guys are smoking. Things like "we can convince him that Dr. Paul is the true conservative left in the race" and "Rand Paul could convince." This man is evil. He is a lying, low down piece of scum who despises Ron Paul. Santorum could not possibly care less about Romney being a moderate flip-flopper. Santorum is those same things. Step away from the cannabis and for God's sake, open a window so that your minds can begin to clear!

Larry in North Carolina
The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men and women to not support Ron Paul!

I've wondered about this myself...

... but doubt it. There have been so many people that could have given Paul a real kick with an endorsement - and ZERO of them have come through :(

Maybe if we tell Rick we will hold a Money Bomb to help pay down his debt AFTER he endorses Paul...

Santorum is going to endorse

Santorum is going to endorse Dr.Paul and he's going to make Santorum his VP! Actually I don't know if Paul would do that maybe Santorum will do a good thing..

Santorum is waiting

to endorse Romney because the longer he waits the more that endorsement will be worth closer to the RNC...
He will eventually endorse Romney and join the crowd of forgettable candidates.

I agree in time he likely

I agree in time he likely will endorse Romney, unless Paul is able to give him something worth jumping ship for. Those thinking he will magically do it out of the goodness of his heart or that his supporters will are not being realistic. I know we feel they should already be on our side but they are not. And his followers will start trickling toward Romney sure we may get some of them too but Romney likely gets more unless Paul makes some type of deal with Santorum. I also think Gingrich would be more willing to endorse a Paul presidency/ Santorum VP ticket if they have a chance of getting the nomination he won't endorse Romney until romney has the nomination guaranteed but he might endorse the joint ticket to try and prevent it if he feels it has a chance to succeed and in my opinion it does.

Granted I am sure Romney is aware of this and will likely buy off Santorum first, so its all still hope.
