What Real Militas Should Be About

I was chatting on the DP, and the topic of militias came about. I think the primary objective of militas right now should be to prepare for a financial collapse. That means buying food and water that will last as supply chains and routes crumble. Being in a militia, IS NOT about shooting people or wearing stupid cameo. It is about serving your community... and if needed protect it. Before in the Articles of Confederation, each locality had a local armory for the citizens to protect themselves from invaders and other threats. I would like to expand that for other emergencies such as natural or man made disasters. Be professionals in your local militia. Consider wearing suits and ties. If you practice with your guns, do it in your regular clothes and call it a camping trip (have fun with it as Ron Paul encourages). This is needed to save the legacy of militias, and for us to be able to defend ourselves when government cannot or will not (as it actively oppresses us). Please give me what you think about this and other roles militias should serve in that are non-combat BUT essential to securing our liberties and proving for the general welfare.

Remember serve the people. Do not rely on government.
