What are your thoughts on the "In It to Win" Money Bomb?

Is it the campaign's fault the Money Bomb hasn't reached its goal? People are just maxed out on their giving? Some supporters are giving up (hopefully not)? I donated again believing we have to stay the course, but I'm perplexed by what seems to be a failure! What are YOUR thoughts?

New money figures released

According to the campaign's Website, we have no debt, and $1.8 million cash on hand prior to the moneybomb. With more than $3 million now in the bank, I think it is safe to say that we are going all the way to Tampa. It is just a question of how much we can spend along the way.

A Constitutional, Christian conservative who voted for Ron and stands with Rand

I'm hoping everyone can donate again

If we all did we can get to the goal but I know lot's of people dealing with tax finances and such.

An amount should never be the goal

I for one am not liking the threats, the "fund this to the tune of this much or else". I'm not going to "blame the campaign", because blaming doesn't provide solutions.

At this point we are divided... you have those who joined the GOP, got on central committees, and we're paying, time, money, gas to attend events, to vote, to go to committees and GOP events to support Ron Paul.

Then you have the Indy's and third parties that want us to fail because they want Ron Paul to run Indy or third party. so they are not going to contribute as much because they hope that when he joins THEIR party they will contribute more then, or they know that they would have to pay for the events like the Ron Paul Republicans are now...

ALso, being tax time, allot of us are not flush with cash.. and many of us KNOW that our dollars spent at home, may not be counted by the campaign, but we spend hundreds if not more. I have a friend making contributions by borrowing on credit cards Geesh!

The products I buy, I give away in the name of the campaign since I am a district leader. I'm not the only one who is funding the campaign this way.

Also, I think the "bomb" idea is being over done and it's not what it was in 07, especially when we see things like Ron says he needs $2.5 or he'll quit. That is not motivating, but depressing.

And there's things I don't understand... whyy aren't tee shirts, bumper stickers being sold (at cost for that matter) at these events???? So many lost opportunities... people would volunteer, be happy to help vend sell tee shirts $5 bucks in the parking lot take home $20K...

We're up against allot... and I'm not complaining, I'm sorry we didn't reach the goal, and I'm even more sorry there was one.

The reason for the goal

The reason for the goal is:

We're fighting against Goldman Sachs' lawyers. Look at situations happening in Alaska, Georgia, Maine.

We're fighting with Goldman Sachs bankrolling wall-to-wall informercials for Obamney.

It is understandable that there was a goal. There had to be a goal for budgeting reasons. And yes, the goal seemed very high & astronomical. But we're now finally in that phase of the campaign taking on Goldman Sachs monster. Going after Newt/Santorum with ads in Iowa/Minnesota was cheaper in comparison. But going head-on after Goldman Obamney Sachs is much/much harder.

I don't fault the campaign for having stated the goal. I have reason to believe $2.5 m was a realistic goal from their standpoint.

I fault the campaign in their implementation for how they went about achieving their goal. I fault them for not having utilized amazing rally momentum for moneybomb.

Time is still not lost. Campaign needs to try a different approach for going after new donor base, and they need to try it very quickly.

The stated goal was simply

The stated goal was simply WAY too ambitious. It happened in 2008 and it is happening again...moneybombs will be progressively smaller and smaller the closer to the end. For many reasons. 1. The die hards are maxxed out. 2. The casual fans are less likely to doante after their state has voted and as Romney keeps dominating the popular vote.

It is high expectations that made it a failure. Not the results. And sadly, I am STILL seeing ridiculous expectations. One person is trying to get it to $2 million by Sunday. So...now that donations have slowed to about $25,000 a day, he is expecting that with just one more weekday and 2 weekend days suddenly he can bring that average back up to $225,000 a day?

Should've went with the 420 MB instead

The 420 issues are an untapped (or yet to be tapped) group of potential new donors. Should've rolled out a Free the Weed MB on 4-20. That 2.5m would be in the bag, and it would be just scandalous enough to generate a little media coverage.

You DO realize, don't you,

You DO realize, don't you, that he is trying to get votes from Republicans, right? And that he absolutely NEEDS to expand his support to mainstream.

If you understand this, why are you suggesting he latch onto a cause that most Republicans would be against?

oops my bad

I thought the goal was to raise money and win the Presidency...

PS
Like that End the Fed issue was a "mainstream" issue.

You DO realize, don't you,

You DO realize, don't you, that he is trying to get votes from Republicans, right? And that he absolutely NEEDS to expand his support to mainstream.

If you understand this, why are you suggesting he latch onto a cause that most Republicans would be against?

most?

lmao... Yeah like Ron's foreign policy is real popular with Republican voters.

But anyhoo...

34% of Republicans favor a repeal of the federal controlled substances act, and 58% of Republicans are not opposed to marijuana for medicinal use.

There are more elected Republicans who are openly supportive of alternative approach on the issue, than there are elected Democrats who are supportive. 9 out of 13 states where pro-cannabis legislation has been enacted, were signed into law by Republican Governors.

Man it's nice to know who is willing to hide their beliefs and compromise principles for the sake of political gain.

Lemme get this straight... wanting to end the war on Iraq/Afghanistan and bring daddy home from combat for Christmas is ok Republican, but wanting to end the war on Americans and bring daddy home from federal prison for Christmas is not ok Republican?

With all due respect, I feel

With all due respect, I feel campaign people mishandled combining rallies with moneybomb. There are rallies going on yesterday/today/tomorrow. But I see moneybomb slope has flattened out. I was actually hoping to see it go up yesterday with Rhode Island rally.

Without increasing the number of NEW donors, rally attendance numbers don't matter.

Mathew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

I've got a feeling,

all the money in China is not going to get Ron Paul the GOP nomination. It's not about money. It's about the obvious effort the GOP has towards thwarting Ron Paul, and the media is all too happy to play along. They are just not going to allow it. They've all but said it. Kiss them goodbye! Just imagine if the $33 Million raised thus far by Ron Paul had been plowed directly into a "direct to the people" marketing campaign for an alternative 3rd party run. It's not too late now. If Paul were to make such a move, no telling how many new people would come on board as donors. Forget playing by the GOP rules, they change them anytime they need to anyway. Start a new game before it's too late. It's the only way to the White House.

You get what...

...what you pay for...or not pay for in this case.

For so little, we could still save America. The agenda to kill this country is going on full steam ahead. Most people think this merry-go-round will keep spinning forever but what most do not know is, soon it will crash and the days of freedom and prosperity will be completely gone.

Anyone needs only to look around the countryside to see the beginning of the end already. There will be NO recovery and it will ONLY get worse. All as well planned and still fully being implemented by the globalist banksters one world order and money system oligarchs. See how the romney is supporting this agenda along with everything the soterobama is doing. No difference. It is just another bush kerry election with bush being the soterobama this time.

God has given the people many warnings and still, they do not heed the Word. We keep living the same cycle of history over and over again, and repeating the same mistakes by electing these same corrupted criminals that get away with the crimes they do. We will deserve everything they have planned for us because the people refuse to break away from the imperial conditioning of the media puppeteers control over the minds of the nation of sheeple. Apathy and cynicism are the two favorite drugs of America. The digital TV and the subliminal messaging is the synergism of this mode of ignorance, and lack of real spiritual consciousness. Most do not even care and even more will never see this warning, or acknowledge the truths here.

There are a few powerful tools the evil globalists have used to destroy America. The tainted lying evil lame stream media dis/mis-information digital mind-kontrol govt propaganda machine, the tool of fear, and the divide and conquer methodology that has worked over and over again throughout history to destroy for profit good countries and their people. What is sad to realize is, we are collectively too stupid as a people and nation to learn from history. Here we are in the same place nazi germany was just before WW II and the same banksters that started that war and profited from it are about to do it again. The back and forth dickering and back biting amongst the Americans is just another part of this grand plan to bring the country to it's knees. Most people will continue to live in the place of ignorance and ego, and continue to fight back and forth enlivened by the war like rhetoric between themselves, instead of all uniting together as One Country to fight the beast that seeks to destroy us all.

One has to wonder if there ever was a world here that was not overrun with the corruption that is no less than poison for a non-corrupted society. We had a great country about a hundred years ago, and if we keep on the course we are now headed on, the ship America that is being led by these puppets of the rothschild empire will be dead by the end of the year, or by the early part of 2013.

What you will ask your self's later is, why didn't we see this and do something to stop all this insanity and the destruction of America even after we had been warned so many times? Why did we ignore the words of those who were telling us this was going to happen? You will say to yourself, what did I do to save America after she is dead and gone.

Do what you can to help others see the light and the storm that is rapidly approaching. Pair and team up in your neighborhoods to be strong after the crash, false flag, war, bio-attack, weaponized flu, EMP, declaration of martial law, or any other well planed trigger that will cause the fall from grace. Pray if you do and live well in purity one day at a time. This is how we lay up our our treasures in Heaven, and this is the Way. These are the last day's of Pompeii.

The campaign needs to let the

The campaign needs to let the grassroots call the shots on raising the money. I am sick of coming up with ideas and strategy to get people excited about the money bombs for the campaign to revert back to just sending repetitive emails asking for money. This is our movement, we know we need more money to compete and we know it takes money to win. It's time we take back the money bombs and make them EXPLODE!

Tax time and the campaign wants money???

What were you guys thinking? People are tapped out, taxes due, and the "I Represent Satan" collection cabal is unrelenting!

I'm for some type of national fundraiser like we did in 2007. Got $6MM in one day!

Give us clear vision, that we may know where to stand and what to stand for - because unless we stand for something, we shall fall for anything.

First time donating to anything political, don't give up!

We must show that Ron Paul is winning. If it wasn't for these big rallies i wouldn't have donated. Say what you want but my family needs come before anything else. Since everyone isn't giving up and still showing up even though Ron Paul has lost North Dakota, lost Wyoming i decided to pull out the credit card and gave 100 dollars. It was my first time ever donating to anything. So don't get so negative, as long as people keep showing up and hopefully voting I don't think raising 1.3 million was a loss. If we can get other people to keep coming over to the revolution we will access new wallets and ideas.

My thoughts.

Many active supporters have already maxed out. The Campaign is raising funds in other ways than money bombs. The original goal was $1,000,000. That was exceeded by over 30%.

The Wyoming delegates went all the way to the State Convention without any Campaign support, financing themselves. This is likely happening in other States so while the dollar amounts may be less the payments in kind i.e. in the efforts of the grassroots more than make up for it.

This is NOT a conventional campaign. The Romney campaign raised $75 million up to the end of March I believe and the Paul campaign was about half of that. However Romney has to pay for everything to get people out to his rallies and to attend conventions. It is probably costing him much more to fund his ground game than it is costing the Paul Campaign. If the grassroots keep up the pressure it may result in him having to dig even deeper into his personal funds. Look at his controlled media like Clear Channel. They are desperate. In spite of everything, cheating and lying THEY ARE LOSING.

This is NOT a conventional campaign. Everything is different and it is important to remember this and not become disheartened. WE ARE WINNING.

There is much going on that we do not see. All we see are straws in the wind and tiny harbingers. The real energy is being unleashed invisibly. Have faith. WE ARE WINNING.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

Thanks, David

I think you're spot on. I consider myself as having donated much more money to the campaign than what I've donated online. I'm a delegate from Wisconsin who is also paying for all my own expenses. I really like your comparison between the Romney and Paul campaigns and how the grassroots is doing so much for Dr. Paul that goes unseen. Totally true - if Romney didn't PAY people to do things for him, they never would!

When the American spirit was in its youth, the language of America was different: Liberty, sir, was the primary object. - Patrick Henry

I Agree, David.

Thank you for explaining it so well.

Fed-Up

Maxxed out

My wife and I have been maxxed out for months, I blame BS campaign laws, I have supported super pacs but just not the same. The problem as I see it, is many people attending rallies are not contributing small amounts and possibility not voting. They should pass the hat at these events.

“The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first.” – Thomas Jefferson

I've never donated to a

I've never donated to a politician before Ron Paul 2012. I quadrupled my normal donation to $100 on a this last moneybomb. Lets not give up hope. I wish the money bomb were still on the front page (it wasn't last time I checked). It is free advertising for Ron Paul and I don't think people get tired of seeing the progress. I wonder why it is not on the front page anymore...Now I log into the official campaign website to see the progress. (Really I think it should be top of front page! It is more important to the cause than some of the dribble on page 1.)

I agree

I now also go to the campaign to get this latest news.

Once Again, the Campaign Failed

They have access to a grassroots army that most politicians could only dream of and they do very little to reach out to or help us organize.

Nah,

I think you mistook the Ron Paul campaign for the Obama campaign. Keep pumping out the platitudes and slick marketing to draw in the philosophically naive and 'organize' them - that's not our schtick.

That is right, because when

That is right, because when Ron Paul is dead and burried (long live Ron Paul), Liberty will still be alive and well and organized from the grassroots up.
