Iowa All District Conventions SWEEP 4-21-2012..

I know we are playing this one very "close to the vest" or discreet.. but I just HAVE to let everyone know how incredible today's district conventions were! We took about most of the State Central Committee, as well as pretty all the other committees. As for delegates.. let's just say that we will have AT LEAST a plurality of the NATIONAL DELEGATES coming out of the State Convention.. most likely we will get about 80%. Iowa gets 28 delegates (3 are super delegates, so 25 elected).

Since I know the opposition reads this, I can't put too many specifics down. Suffice it to say we now control pretty much every single governing body within the IOWA GOP. Lock stock and barrel. Today was beyond awesome. Today.. we took our state back. And finally our State motto might just mean something, "Our liberties we prize, and our rights we WILL MAINTAIN"!!

And a big thanks goes to John (you know who you are) and our State guy (you too). Main when this is over I'll put much more detail up.

Oh there was a touching scene today too. The "junior delegates" teenagers and youth submitted their own planks for the party platform. One of them was to get rid of the unconstitutional parts of the NDAA.. It gives me great hope that such a young generation is teaching their parents about the error of their ways.

Thank you for all your work in the field.

With all these delegates he's already won,why can't we get anywhere near an exact count of how many delegates he has? how can we know where we're at,and what we've got to do from here on without that information.i happen to know that he won 147 in St. Charles Missouri alone.read it right here on DP.now he's pretty much won the majority in Iowa,as well as winning many in Oklahoma,Minnesota,Colorado, etc.it seems to me he's either neck and neck with Romney,or he's in the lead.surly someone connected with the campaign could get a count.

Some see things as they are and say why,but i dream things that never were and say why not. Robert F. Kennedy

This is great news, but remember

This is great news, but remember that it doesnt stop here. Things got to be how they are through people being complacent; I hope that is no more. Taking so many positions allows us to dictate how things will be run and I hope we will be far more responsible than those who came before.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

Amen to that! Way to go to

Amen to that! Way to go to the grassroots efforts in Iowa. They turned it around. I hope they can do the same in Maine as that whole debacle was discouraging.

I was that Junior Delegate :D

So... This is kind of an honor to be mentioned on the Daily Paul! Anyway, my friend and I were the junior delegates who pushed for the platform of removing section 1021 and 1022 of the NDAA FY2012. We were Co-Precinct Captains for my small town, and at the caucus our town went for Ron Paul! (RP- 17 votes. Sanitorium- 10 votes. Mittens- 7 votes. Gingrich- 6 votes. Bachmann- 4 votes.)

When meeting with the delegates, they were more worried about Pro-Life planks and making planks about what the role of government is, however, my friend and I argued and argued to get that plank on our list (we were only allowed 2) and I think it was well received by our crowd!

We were definitely the only Ron Paul supporters in the room, but the kids I was with were definitely concerned about the size of our government, the trampling of our liberties, corrupt and overspending politicians, and value of our dollar. I think Iowa has a GREAT future after today's convention.. Iowa has Liberty-Minded people! :D

P.S. thanks for adding the Junior Delegates to your post!

"Do not let anyone look down

"Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young.." Being young, you have the unique advantage to have lived most of your life in a country at war. Point this out to those who would want you to go fight in Iran and there isn't much they can respond with. Good work!

You might be young, but you are more of an adult than most adults. KEEP FIGHTING!

Great News! Congratulations on your victory! It is a victory for us all! We in Georgia have scored delegates to Tampa for Dr. Paul, too. He got 7% of the vote in the primary, but he got one third of the delegates from District 12 of Georgia, and he scored great successes in other parts of Georgia as well. We also got a resolution against the NDAA passed. Even the neo-cons voted for it. It passed by more than a 90% majority. These links will show you what we did:

Shut the front door

Iowa is 1/2 done. We still have to elect delegates to the national convention. Yes, I know you say that in your posting, but what that means is we are only half way there. Now, you've told all the non-RP people reading this how well we did. Don't you know how to play poker? If you have a royal flush you don't show everyone your hand to see how awesome it is. This is chess, not checkers! Come on man. Shut the front door!
Now you've outed me and everyone else that worked really hard yesterday. Pull your flippin post down and shut up!
I'm really proud of what we did too. For now, you should just re-post that things are going well in Iowa. If we win the district conventions, but lose the state what good does it do us!
I know you want to pump up the DP community as do I. But goal #1 is to keep this quiet. Please, please, think about that first.

Hey Sparky,

I appreciate the thoughtful comment. Everything you stated I have already thought about (multiple) times before posting. I was very discreet. I posted less information than even our local media did (Des Moines register actually listed all newly elected persons with candidate affiliation). Do I know much more? Yes. Do you? Probably. Do we dare state it all? Obviously not. I believe I've said enough to accomplish my primary goal. Giving a boost to the national movement. Every time over the last few months we would read about victory in Missouri, or Minnesota.. or anywhere it would energize us to contact that extra person. Make sure just a few more would for sure be going to their convention. I know that people like you (Sparky) and I don't need a lot of encouragement to continue to organize. But most people do, and that's completely understandable. I know your concerned about GOP anarchists (I'm referring to the old guard establishment) and their actions. I am as well. But that concern should not frighten us from using reasonable information (again referring to the intentional vagueness in my post) about a great event to encourage those attempting to grab the other 100's of delegates that are yet to be elected. I am glad to see your post, as "iron sharpeneth iron" and we are definitely on the same side. Let's keep pushing in Iowa as an example to these other states. The neo-cons may not thanks us right now.. But I guarantee their children will when they realize how close our country was to ruin.

It isn't a secret anymore.

The main goal is to have an organized slate for the convention. A great idea would be to have a computer with internet access and a printer at the convention. The campaign only has so many printed slates.

But what does need to be top secret is the printed ballot style. At our state convention the Romney people copied our style to try and trick people into voting for their status quo delegates.

I helped!

I got elected to the state rules committee along with another RP supporter in District 2. What a great day! All but one of the people the RP block targeted for state committee positions got elected. We were out numbered, but not out-organized! We put an awesome young man on the state central committee. The liberty supporters in Iowa are in it for the long haul.

It is very clear from what happened yesterday in Missouri that Santorum supporters are ALL going over to Romney and forming a "unity slate" of the three stooges, v. us.

WE CAN NOT HAVE A MERE PLURALITY at state. We must have a majority in order to prevail, or we will get ZERO delegates from Iowa.

Please urge your state leadership to be prepared for a unity slate.

"Truth is an absolute defense to the charge of paranoia."

Good Advice.

Good thinking! Don't let down your guard for even an instant. And GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!

If Santorum supporters try an

If Santorum supporters try an unity slate with Mitt, they'll be commiting political suicide 'cause the recent past showed us the only one who profited from that slate was Romney. After the Mittens gets the vote they discard the other guys.

"Unity", the new word for "Divided"

I just think its odd that these so called "unity" slates are really just "divided" slates. I mean, on the unity slate that beat the Ron Paul slate in my district yesterday (by 6 votes), the delegates were split between Santorum and Romney. Santorum isn't even running anymore, and his supporters aren't ready to "unite" behind Romney.

And yet they think that the rest of America is excited enough about Romney to win the general election? Really?

In one our CD in MN a stealth Romney delegate got

on the Ron Paul Alternate slate and ousted a veteran running... I just can't believe that Santorum supporters would be crazy to jump over to Rommney... I guess they don't cherish life!

shhhh! shhhh! bump. shhhh!

Excellent work, y'all!

Excellent work, y'all! Congratulations!

RON PAUL 2012 * Restore America * Bring The Troops Home

Now that you won your state back...

get rid of that governor : P

Heh, heh, that'll teach him to talk trash about Ron Paul!!!

For such great news!

A well deserved

A well deserved congratulations!

You all are an honor to Dr. Paul and America.

So happy, having a hard time sleeping!

This has been a culmination of planning, patience, and coordination. And as much as the national Ron Paul campaign catches flak for messing up certain things. When it comes to having humble, efficient, motivated, and especially capable people to help with these events, they are second to none. Iowa will never be the same again. And soon neither will the country. To my fellow Iowans that might be reading this, thank you. To everyone else that comes next, we are rooting for you!
