Santorum: Romney Is ‘The Right Guy’ To Challenge Obama

April 25, 2012 7:40 AM

WASHINGTON (AP) — Former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum says he expects to endorse Mitt Romney.

Santorum says that he believes Romney is “the right guy” to challenge President Barack Obama. Still, he’s stopping short of an official endorsement of his former rival.

But Santorum tells CNN that he will ultimately support the GOP presidential nominee. And he says it’s clear that Romney will be that nominee.

Must understand the opposition

Great read. Read the comments. So many standing up for Ron Paul. If we just talk to ourselves we will not understand how to speak to others. Don't down vote without reading. I have been reading opposition posts for hours very enlightening understanding what is driving the pro romney and pro obama people.

Expected

nothing less from Frothy. His back bone isn't strong enough for him to not turn his back on his own supporters with his half @$$ endorsement of Romney. He probably needed Romney money to pay off his campaign debt.

Please remove this post!

VOTE IT DOWN!

The Constitution stands as a model of cooperative statesmanship and the art of compromise.

So Santorum basically exposes

So Santorum basically exposes Romney as a man who floats in the wind, a man with no principles except winning and basically calls him the worst person the Republicans could pick to challenge His Imperial Majesty Obama, then does a complete U-turn and now says he is the right guy?

1. Politics between the establishment of the Republicrat bird is like professional wrestling. They act like they hate each other in public, but then laugh at how dumb the people are for buying it when they get behind the curtains.

2. Santorum himself is a flip-flopper and has no principles, just like Romney.

This must be why he scrubbed

This must be why he scrubbed his website a week or two ago of all his Mitt Romney attacks. I guess his 3rd party check cleared after arriving in the mail today.

Why is this here?

I don't see either the reason to post this at DP or why it's on the Main Feed.

Voted down.

(Why? For the same reason I don't want to see a post here of Huntsman leaving the GOP - use our space for REAL news, not garbage about garbage.)

Rights are like muscles; you must exercise them to keep them fit, or they will atrophy and die.

because.....

Depending on the state, if he officially endorses Romney his delagates get transfered. Not what we want. Keep him in suspension, like in a bowl of jello!

Wait I thought bound

Wait I thought bound delegates would still be forced to vote for Rick? I didn't think a endorsement would change that.

Takes one to know one.

So, Romney is no longer the only chronic flip-flopper.

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters." Benjamin Franklin

Slick Rick the Hypocrite! If he thinks Romney is...

the right guy, why did he challenge him? This is a fraud and a sham. He is angling for a deal, which he will probably get. Maybe some of his supporters will wake up but I doubt it.

Absolutely!

This is WHY I posted this article. Evangelicals who supported Santorum should be SEETHING with anger, making them perfect candidates for recruitment. Too bad some here at the DAILY PAUL are too shallow to recognize this.

Key word here is challenge, not defeat

Santorum wants to run in 2016 - having Romney nominated to lose in 2012 furthers that ambition.

People should ask Rick

how much did Romney pay him to buy his endorsment. After all he bashing he did and "vote any other republican except Romney" comments, he suddenly came licking his hands.

how much did Romney pay him, LOL

came here to post just that.

you were the earlier bird and got this sanityrum worm well vetted!

:)

Did Anyone Ever Doubt

that Romney, Santorum, and Gingrich are all on the same team, not to mention the other ones who dropped out? The objective of the special interest groups behind all of these is to get Obama reelected.
